Erm, what? You've cut and paste a post I made recapping my year. Which I posted in an off-topic thread that asked people to recap their year.If you're trying to use this as evidence of me trolling, it's a non sequiter. If you're trying to back up the original troll's allegation that I claim to be more knowledgable than everyone else and am better because of being in a documentary and writing for PowerSlam then, again, there's no logical connection. If you're instead simply shouting "You've got a big ego" as a debating point, then try reading what I actually posted. I've effectively written that at the age of 29, I'd never cold-approached a woman, was still ludicrously skinny, had never gone on holiday with a woman, and still slept in a single bed. That's not exactly the comments of somebody bringing the big 'I am', is it?

Fucking hell Mo, do you ever read back your posts and just think 'Wow, I sound like such a cunt'You want to talk about big egos? Here's a man who single-handedly stuck himself at the spear head of a 'Give UKFF MMA' campaign, where all you did was gradually out-cunted yourself on a post-by-post basis. I've been posting here for at least 18 months now, and Lister has always come across to me as nothing more than a genuine bloke who gives his opinions which, whether I agree with them or not (and I've done both), have been backed up with genuine fact 95% of the time; and if you can answer the majority of questions about Pro-Wrestling on a whole (as looking at the questions thread he can) you've got a right to call yourself knowledgeable; its not arrogance, its not ego, its just the way it is.I don't know who JNLister is, I understand he's wrote a book about ECW, I found out reading this thread he wrote columns in a magazine I've never read a few years ago. As far as I care he's just another poster on here, an opinion of who I'll reach in the same way I would anyone else. He's sound, has never said anything to piss me off, or anything remotely out of order to anyone that I've seen. You on the other hand? Well, I don't even have to go there.I'm probably just another one of these posters that Bubba Ray (or whatever the fuck his name is) refers to, who's managed to get to a reasonable level of posts without saying anything of interest, and my opinion shouldn't really bother anyone on here, but given the choice, I know who I'd rather share a pint with between Mo and Lister. And it ain't you Mo, you arrogant, self-centred, alabaster ballsac

Nah, I just posted it because it's hilarious. From the 'Lister has a giant ego' evidence pile (courtesy of his website):

This is the online portfolio for freelance writer John Lister of Manchester, England. Combining NCTJ-approved journalism training with six years experience running the press office at Plain English Campaign, I am particularly skilled at writing on a variety of subjects in a clear and concise manner. I can explain complicated subjects in a simple but accurate way that is appropriate to the intended audience. As well as being a specialist in the subjects of clear communication and the professional wrestling industry, I am highly skilled in general writing including web content and ghostwriting.I am also heavily experienced in writing public relations material such as newsletters and press releases, and have given more than 500 radio and television interviews.

Most recently I have prepared an article for the website of The Sun about premature wrestling deaths. This research has been quoted around the world including on numerous US television networks.

*cough* Meltzer *cough*

Professional wrestling is not a genuine sport, but it is a genuine industry. I am one of the most experienced and knowledgeable writers on that industry, with more than fifteen years' experience.

Taking stuff from someone's pro website and calling it "Big Ego Material" is mental.

Everyone bigs themself up when trying to sell themselves (just like any product), he's hardly gonna go to the trouble of paying for a website to boost his writing career then fill it with stuff like,

"I'm quite a good writer. I know a little bit about the stuff I write. I sometimes write good things. I'm not very good at spelling (LOL), but I do use spellcheck, PAY ME TO WRITE SOMETHING!!!!!"

Jesus!

Lay off him mate, it's obvious he's trying to sell his skill to perspective employers, he's showing his potential (similar to a CV) good on him too.

Eddie,The postings were in response to this utterly insincere 'I'm just another fan' comment:

Have I ever claimed that? I know a fair bit about wrestling, but no more than anyone else who's paid attention over the years.

Also, if you've ever read Lister's posts at RIM on its various public and hidden forums, then you'll know he looks down on most of the people here, yet on the UKFF he always tries to play safe and be Mr. Popular (two UKFF poster of the year awards and counting!). Basically, he's like our version of Mick Foley.

Thanks for the plugs, Mo. I've already had a couple of well-paid jobs stem directly from this forum, so this type of publicity is much appreciated. Making sure to include the links to the individual pages on my site was particularly kind of you.

Does that lighthearted tone and smiley mean you were not being serious in your arguments and were in fact merely seeking to provoke a response? Edited by JNLister

In much the same way you were trying to provoke a response by posting three troll threads on MMA after I posted mine?

Have you had some sort of breakdown? The turn this thread has taken is insane.
