  2. You'd think so, but I think he's a prick, so there's obviously some other factor that I can't articulate.
  3. Can't stick Madeley myself, but it's a good shout. Reminds me that I'm always fond of a certain kind of British sports reporter, the kind that inspired the original Alan Partridge. Not that competent or knowledgeable, almost certainly have right wing views off camera and are prone to on air gaffes, but they're go just enough of a broadcasters sensibility to coast by. No one encapsulates this more than Jim Rosenthal.
  4. Can't you put a note through his door saying you've got a parcel?
  5. To link the two topics, I think the vodka ad might have answered some questions as to why he's called the American Nightmare.
  6. Are you doing exclusively death and funeral content these days?

    Fry-ups

They look like they're in dishwater.
  8. Miz beating Cena in the main event of 27. To being in a 12 man tag as part of Johnny Ace's team at 28, alongside greats such as David Otunga and Jack Swagger and against a team that includes Santino and Zach Ryder. I think he got the winning pinfall, but still.
  9. ooh, hang on I think I did this wrong. I did it as a ranking countdown instead of points. So it should be: 10 points Championship Manager 01/02 (PC) 9: Skool Daze (Spectrum) 8: Championship Manager 97/98 (PC) 7: Championship Manager 2 (PC) 6: Football Manager 16 (PC) 5: Football Manager 14 (PC) 4: Football Manager 2005 (PC) 3: Championship Manager 93/94 (PC) 2: Championship Manager 93/94 (PC) 1: Championship Manager Italia (PC)
  10. 10: Championship Manager Italia (PC) 9: Championship Manager 93/94 (PC) 8: Football Manager 2005 (PC) 7: Football Manager 14 (PC) 6: Football Manager 2007 (PC) 5: Football Manager 16 (PC) 4: Championship Manager 2 (PC) 3: Championship Manager 97/98 (PC) 2: Skool Daze (Spectrum) 1: Championship Manager 01/02 (PC)
  11. I went to it live last year, and thought it was a hoot, really enjoyed it. Watching it back a few weeks later, it definitely seemed pretty flat in comparison. Maybe it was it was because it was the first show that weekend, or the fact it was in a tiny venue, or even the fact I was rock hard for Ibushi.
  12. He's just about alright as an announcer if you grade on a curve in the current landscape, where almost everyone is shite, but the man is an absolute pipe. I won't shed a tear.
  13. Slightly different point, but the one count thing is great when it's used very sparingly. It was brilliant in the Omega/Takeshita match last year. It was done at least twice on the last PPV, which is unacceptable really.
  14. I'm watching basketball instead. No naked money grabbing going on in the NBA, no siree.
  15. It's sad, but it's not surprising. They don't want you as a fan, they don't even want the team to be in this league. I gave up Chelsea for good after the Super League business, a long time coming, but I just can't be arsed to support a team that doesn't want me. I've not managed to pick another club because frankly I've got nothing but contempt for almost every other club in football, and can't be arsed to patronise a non league team.
  16. This Seth business reminds me of a Sean Lock joke about cruel nicknames at school. "We had a kid in our school nicknamed Diarrhea Dave. Not because of any incident, he was just the only one who could spell it".
  17. Willing to be corrected, but it's actually safety glass he's gone through, isn't it? The sort you get in cars that break into cubes. So though it cut Allin's back up because he went through it at speed and landed in it with force, it's very unlikely to have cut anyone in the audience. All of the cuts are small, rather than big slices you'd expect with just a normal pane. I'm not in anyway suggesting its a perfectly safe bump, by the way. I just don't think it was that dangerous for bystanders.
  18. The secret to his youthful looks is boiling himself before matches. I haven't seen a pink hue like that on a wrestler since Hercules.
  19. He was older than Hogan!
  20. Sorry for posting two Sparklehorse songs in a few days, but I've listened to this no less that 999999999999 times in the last couple of days.
