  1. As someone on here who's been a huge Cody fan since around the time of the first All In (I wasn't that interested in his original WWE run, ironically, I didn't think he had it as a singles wrestler), as you may imagine I was quite emotional watching this. I went to Wrestlemania last year in the hopes of seeing him win it in person, and even though I can't say I was there when he did win, it was so perfectly told that I didn't care. Teared up when Brandi came out, punched the air when Big Patch John's music hit, even popped for Taker in his skivvies. I was blubbing at the end. Wrestling, eh? Loved all the little touches. My favourite small note that I'm not sure I've seen anyone mention was Roman doing the Cross Rhodes for a two and then saying something like "that moves sucks, doesn't pin anybody" only for him to be pinned by it in the end.
  2. He's getting rid of the belt entirely, the new championship is that mask.
  3. Having now finished this, I've also got a sense of why it's quite unpopular. It's too long and very clunky in comparison to 1 and 3. Though I maintain the main things that I didn't enjoy was the lowering of your health when you die, and enemies disappearing when you've killed them a certain number of times. Those mechanics felt against the spirit of the games to me, that dying doesn't mean too much and you just pick yourself up and go again and again. That said, it had it's positives, and I'm glad to have experienced it. I did stick on DS3 straight afterwards though and thought "this is so much better".
  4. This conversation takes the biscuit.
  5. You might want to update your pop culture references.
  6. Wasn't it Orton and Michaels and probably others complaining that he was reckless that got him canned? It was 2 years after the pharmacy scandal that they let him go. Then he worked for years in TNA.
  7. City Heat (1984) Clint Eastwood Burt Reynolds Rip Torn Richard Roundtree Robert Davi Jack Nance Tab Thacker (no idea who he is, but what a name!)
  8. You'd think so, but I think he's a prick, so there's obviously some other factor that I can't articulate.
  9. Can't stick Madeley myself, but it's a good shout. Reminds me that I'm always fond of a certain kind of British sports reporter, the kind that inspired the original Alan Partridge. Not that competent or knowledgeable, almost certainly have right wing views off camera and are prone to on air gaffes, but they're go just enough of a broadcasters sensibility to coast by. No one encapsulates this more than Jim Rosenthal.
  10. Jumbo Tsuruta meets Bob Backland. Look at the state of Bob's socks. It's a shit business.
  11. Let's create a catologue of people who are aesthetically pleasing. Now, I should clarify I don't mean beautiful or handsome necessarily, I mean people you look at and think they are remarkable looking in some way. I'll get the ball rolling with Ernest Borgnine. I could look at him for hours, and I get a peculiar feeling that I'd like to fold him up and put him in my top pocket. Over to you.
