This sort of exists. Many modern cars are laden with cameras to help you - I've seen this crazy helicopter view that appears on your screen when reversing, or you have the Tesla 360 views.

It's still a challenge, don't get me wrong, but it feels much more fair. It's also just as surreal and obtuse. Beautiful though.

I played both this and the sequel over the summer, and if you haven't played 2 I'd strongly recommend it. They have shaved off some of the rough edges and in general made it much more forgiving, eg falls aren't instant death but just hurt a bit and put you back on the ledge, fast travel available earlier etc. Really enjoyed this.

After being stiffed by my local turning private, I found another local NHS service through here and it's the best thing ever. I don't know if it was weighted to a very cheap area of England, but costing it up it was cheaper for us to pay private rates for our appointments than use dental insurance!

I'm only an hour or so in but it feels like they took Prince of Persia and reskinned it. I'm OK with that, but it doesn't feel like CastleVania at all.

I've ploughed 15 hours and 31 deaths into Returnal and I'm tapping out. I can't do the first boss. I'm no stranger to difficulty; I've platinumed DS1 and Elden Ring and I've had a run of bashing-your-head-against-walls bosses this year with Prince of Persia: Lost Crown and Blasphemous 1 & 2. The boss in Returnal (Phrike) isn't that hard, probably 2 or 3 more attempts and I'd get it but it's the hour-ish runback that has done me in. I just don't have time for a level that is pseudo-randomly generated, not knowing if you will get any decent upgrades or items (the astronaut and some health boosts are a must). If it was checkpointed right by the boss I'd probably be OK with that, but the thought of giving up another hour to potentially die again is not my idea of a fun time. I think it's especially grating when you can see health boosts etc on a distant ledge that you can't yet reach because you haven't got the next upgrade. "No, you're not good enough to have these yet, once you've proved yourself you can have more health." It's such a shame, because I like the protagonist, the art design, I like where the story is going but I'm done. So off to the new CastleVania instead.

What a ludicrous pile of shit Street Fighter is. I was under no illusion what I was walking into but owed it to 12 year old me to see it. It's packed with easter eggs but sadly, also packed with plot as they try to hamfistedly put everything in. It's stuffed to the gills so much Guile That's when they bother to show the tournament. The Ryu / Ken story is the interesting bit which shoved aside when they realise Chun Li needs something to do. The audience fell about laughing at the And not one person commented on my Kenny Omega shirt. EDIT: just realised I want @Supremo to review it like an episode of Raw.

I nearly added something similar here myself - any liquids for the fridge have to come in a carton or container that can be resealed. I get irrationally jealous that American manufacturers sell cream in the same things we get milk in. Those paper thin flappy lids are pointless and spilt more than I care to admit.

I like both of these! Some streaming platforms have a counter telling you how long the ads are - if we have to suffer ads then at least you know whether you have time to get a drink or not. Having this in the cinema would be great. Pop your head in - still 18 minutes to go, fine I'll get a coffee. It perversely might make more money in concessions. When people ask that "what would you do if you win the lottery?" I always answer "I'd open a small cinema" and I would definitely implement this scheme.

If it's an option for you I recommend only shopping after 7pm. It can feel like the shop has been opened just for you.

Off topic but as an avid e-bike user I'd really like the language cleared up on these things. The difference between "I get a bit of help when I pedal up to 15 mph" is different from "I turn the throttle and just go".

Martin Lewis winds me up irrationally, but his Small Ideas initiative is really good. Send them something small and annoying that is feasible to fix and they'll campaign to get it done. In their words "Small, do-able, non-political - the stuff that'd actually make life better." eg. consistent council forms, standardised allergy labels on menus, fairer car parking charges. What Small Idea™️ would you like fixed? (I'm aware this sounds like astroturfing, I just thought it would make a good idea for a thread. I'm sure it will involve toilets before long).

He's been squeezing the market that way for a couple of years. I give it five years before he successfully offloads the unprofitable USO clause and ordinary letters will be an 'only best efforts' basis ie they won't happen.
