  1. No wonder he looks like he never sleeps, he probably argues with his own shadow these days.

Also FUCK BIX. I hate to denigrate anyone but that low level Meltzer wannabe is a bottom feeder of the lowest common denominator.

For a man who's stole from friends, colleagues and even his own damn government during a pandemic how can anyone view him as a viable source of even gossip. Cunt of the highest order that scrapes a living/attention from the wrestling public like he scrapes the skids of his shitty underpants. Shitarse cunt.

TLDR: Fuck Bix. Have a nice day otherwise.

  2. Where have you ended up with this @SuperBacon ?

I've recently cleared the lot, all in order. When it's good, it's very good but even what's considered the worst of it is still passable.

I forgot how amazing the first season actually was and you can see why it encapsulated so many people when they first saw it, just banger after banger. After season 3 it was became inconsistent with the tipping point for me being after S5 E5, The Great Mutato. Robert Patrick got done dirty in S9 but it was on fumes at that point, he tried his best though.

Seasons 10 and 11 were just a payday for Duchovny but he had his moments, especially when he 'takes' LSD and the ensuing happenings that come with it.

if you take the best of each season, there's a solid 4/5 seasons worth of gold to be had. I was surprised by the amount of actors that passed through in bit parts.

I would however like to know how much Mulder and Scully's medical bills must have cost the FBI over the years. No wonder they were always trying to be fucked off.

Went to visit a mate that night in the city centre, and he took me to a place on (IIRC) the corner of either Newton Street or Lever Street where we could get a lovely foil rectangle full of rice and 3 for a very reasonable £5.

Cafe Marhaba on Back Piccadilly/Corner of Newton Street. Still going, it was £8 for rice and 3 when I went in June.

When I first worked in the City Centre they used to do any chicken curry, rice and a drink for £2.50. Marvellous times for a fat fuck like me.

  4. Half the battle is what does Bray Wyatt want for himself?

Does he still want to be this monster/spooky nonsense that's killing anyone who works with him stone dead or can he see himself away from all that? If he can't get over the first hurdle then it's curtains.

There needs to be a clear path of how this nonsense ties up and how to transition him into something else.

Could the spooky shite be contained into its own segment where he's fighting his personal demons off in Uncle Howdy/whatever crap he throws to the wall without any other superstar being involved?

Where does he go from there and who does he become? He's mid-level in the ring but has bags of charisma that could be utilised in other manners.

Cody survived Stardust but he had to have a very strong will/mindset and was prepared to work flat out to achieve what he wanted. Bray doesn't seem the type to want to do that.

At this point he's too far gone for me to give him the time to change.

Anyone else recovering from the shock of misreading that Mendy had signed for Leyton Orient?

Not only that but he now has teammates called Bonke Innocent and Darlin Yongwa.

I was very relieved when City released him. £52 million down the drain but that's just dinner money, I suppose. Surpasses Eliaquim Mangala as probably the worst use of transfer funds since the bad bad money men rolled in.

^^^ I love the Advocat Pawelek whenever Mrs-to-be raid lets me snaffle one at Dobry Sklep or wherever. Didn't know there was Amaretto as well, must grab one when I get chance!

As an aside, the Wedel shops in Poland sell hot chocolate and the white one is probably my favourite hot drink on the planet.

I'm sure they had a spumante filled chocolate bar as well at one point which was quite nice.

Speaking of Polish drinks as an aside, I love Frugo green but the only place that I've seen it recently is Sainsbury's.

I never fancy any of those wafer based Polski bars. Wafer based snacks just me remind me of my impoverished childhood.

There definitely used to be Boost Duo’s but I think they went the way of the Boost Guarana. Too much boost in your Boost.

Boost Duos still exist, I had one today. Boost Guarana was ace as well.

My friend took a photo of me in the pub and done some weird AI shit to somebody's arm over my head.

I just like that I seem to have aged three years in the three months since my breakup but somehow am smiling more.

If you're goofy and you know it clap your hands!

    Alex Horne posts here?

A friend of mine has done some rummaging in his parents attic and found a signed "the one" Billy Gunn action figure still in packaging from Jakks Sunday Night Heat line I'm guessing late 00 to early 01.

Any chance this is worth anything (at all) if he drops it on eBay or somewhere?

Apparently this Rikishi of the same age is about £40 these days.

Not really, if it's signed with no proof then it's not worth anything extra to a collector. Depending on condition you're looking at £15 max and it could take a while to sell. There's a few loose on there going with accessories for £5 or less so that gives you an idea.

Rikishi has a few Mattel elites so the price of Jakks are in the toilet now. The whole market is low at the moment. Good time to be a buyer right now.

If the answer to this is "yes" then I might be tempted to sell my still-sealed Hasbro series 1 Hogan.

Again depending on condition, it could fetch a fair price. I can't say I've seen many sealed Hogan's as he usually was the first that anyone got. Bagged mail aways can get a good price too.

  9. Today was a struggle, for the first time since I've been able to vote, I nearly spoilt my ballot and not had my say. (Not that it means much.)

It's a Labour mafia round here, barely anyone else stands and I will never vote for the blues or the yellows in my life so I'm either shoring up the mafia or voting for an outsider with no chance.

Not even a leaflet from any candidates aside from Labour which were downright pathetic and scraping the barrel on their mandates. It was the bare basics of what you'd expect a local councillor to do and they've never even got close to that at any point I've been living here.

You only see or hear about them when there's a photo opportunity to gloat about everyone else's hard work that they shamelessly try and take credit for.

There's been zero improvement and everything has been sacrificed to pad their pockets and serve the local town.

I'm disgusted with myself that there's not much I can do in he grand scheme of things and no matter who holds the reigns, the foreseeable future is that of a horrible slope into a bigger shit pit we're already in.

Oh and I had some strawberry ice cream after I voted. Hope your area's fair better than what I have been served up.

  10. @Sergio Mendacious Sorry to hear about Manny and your Grandfather-in-law. They can't be replaced but I'm sure you've got blessed memories of them and thank-you for your stories over the years about them.

Maybe we'll get new tales of the land that's not New York but as long as you are safe and well, that's the main thing.

Take care and best wishes for your future.

  11. Just off to drop the plop in a stern northern accent seems to do the trick no matter the location. A Geordie accent seems to get the best response.

Anything else in comparison seems like Tory speak.

Extra marks if you have Private Eye or Viz on hand for reading material.

  12. Any new pick ups?

I've bagged 4 out of the 6 new #100 Elites. "Stunning"Steve Austin, The Rock, John Cena and managed to get a chase variant Andre all 4 together costing me just under £50. They all look really good aside from no NWA on the television title and the Andre belt being blue strapped but that's minor overall.

Mainly been picking up loose stuff as of late and got an old Mabel bendem's today and a near complete Warrior create a figure from the early 2010's.

    Happy hunting!

  13. It's been a fucking wank start to year and I received my grandfather's ashes this week.

My mum is still heavily grieving and today was the first time she'd been round since I got the ashes. She spent a little time to herself in the living room with them and then visibly upset came in to the kitchen, my wonderful brother's first words to her?

"Look like a bunch of porridge oats don't they?"

Not enough corkhill GIFs in the universe.

  14. I have a question for the parents on here who have children with Autism, please forgive if any ignorance shows through in this post, there's no offence intended at all.

My friend has a daughter who is austistic but more and more lately he's he's using his daughters condition (Apologies if wrong on terminology.) to try and manipulate situations and use her as a focal point so that our friend group does things for him under the guise it's for her.

One example that's cropped up a lot is that he uses it to try and bargain with shopkeepers/market stalls so he can undercut them for as much as possible. 90% of the items he buys aren't for her but he'll try at any opportunity.

With our friend group it's asking us to do everyday tasks that he's more than able to do whilst she's at school or create situations like day trips/activities with her in mind then pleading poverty once we're out knowing full well we're not going to see her without.

I'm also worried that he's influincing his daughter to behave negatively to those who say no to him. I've not spoke to him in weeks since he tried to get me to drive them about for his self indulgent needs. If it was genuinely for her then it wouldn't have been a problem at all. He then put all the blame on me when explaining to her why it wasn't happening and she's has been verbally abusive about me when talking to other members of our friend group who have seen them this week.

We have tried to be mindful around him about his daughters condition and understood as best as possible that it is difficult for him financially and how day to day things are aren't as easy for those of us who take it for granted.

I feel he's in the wrong for doing so, I'm wondering if any of you have encountered anything like this and how would you approach the subject bearing in mind that it's him and his daughter is in the middle of something that she is completely innocent/unaware of but will probably have consequences that directly affect her due to his actions.

    Thank-you for your time.

  15. Wrestlingshop.com are overpriced on some items but they've got a decent stock. Never had any problems with them.

Rock and Roll collectables are hit and miss with prices and I've had more than one damaged delivery so they are lower on my list. Their communication and replacement service was spot on so there's credit for that.

Wrestlrs.com - I got my first purchases off then about 4 days after ordering. Good service and the items were packed well. They tend to be slightly cheaper than most places for new elites.

https://www.thewrestlingmegastore.com/ is ok, good for some older looser stuff with some reasonable prices. Site can be a hassle to use but had good service from them.

Elites have been jacked up to £28 in a lot of places and that's a mighty piss take especially as the new lots are in abundance so there's no need for it in this economy.

Well chuffed with my Hollywood Blondes Steve Austin, just got to find a reasonably priced Pillman now.

Not familiar with it mate but I will give it a look thankyou 🙂

My apologies it's wrestlrs.com I forgot to add the S.

A few deals on there and a half decent selection just though it may be worth a look. I think they have the Young Bucks figure you may have been after too.

Randomly my local Smyth's had a couple of Ilja Dragunov, King Nakamura ane Doudrop in today.

Also had the "chase" King Woods.

Always the way, nothing there and when you've wanted some, got something or not got the time/money, it always shows up.

Have you used or heard of Wrestlr.com based in Scotland? My mate put me on to them this morning so I've picked up a Bret Hart chase variant, Doudrop for a friend's missus, Kenny Omega and Adam page duo pack with the AEW Tag-Team titles and last but not least the stunning Steve Austin figure I've been after.

They also had the Ricky Steamboat with WCW World Television title but I may pick that up at a later date.

  18. @Jonny Vegas It's hit and miss with Smyth's, I don't know whether it's because they have a limited deal or their stock controllers just pick what they think will sell best as I've seen people looking for a Dou Drop figure from a recent series 97/98 and only bring able to find it online but not in many places. It's probably going to be the same when the Stunning Steve Austin figure launches in a few months.

The prices are insane but they weren't that much cheaper long ago. £25 is a big ask for anybody for a single figure with largely unnecessary packaging but compared with other toy lines, it's standard these days.

Forbidden Planet in Manchester has a decent stock of AEW figures but the prices are hefty especially if you've got kids who like certain characters. Luchasaurus seems to be the hardest to find from what I've seen.

I'm not keen on the groups either because you usually find it's the same 5-10 people hoovering up the deals and then selling on significantly higher whilst trying to gatekeep/lower other sellers prices with snide comments because they can't get their way.
