  1. Due to the surgeries I've had downstairs, it's a necessity. There's an art to it though.

I wonder if there's a potential market for toilet/environmentally friendly knob wipes? Something with a hint of lemony freshness that will burn your eyeballs through if you put your hands down there and then anywhere near your face.

Or Tena Mans, we catch your piss so the washing machine can handle your cum and shit stains!

Been watching Tuca and Bertie on Netflix.

    It's a good show!

Tuca and Bertie was never given a chance by Netflix for some odd reason, they pumped money into a good cast, an animation style that would have cost a bit to produced and bigged it up for a week then buried it. Why put money into if you're not in it for a couple of series at least, there's tons of dross on there that's been given hefty promotion and flopped way harder. Big Mouth, Paradise PD and the Midnight Hour (That is truly surreal. First episode is interesting, the rest not so much.) spring to mind.

I understand that Tuca and Bertie, Bojack and similar shows take a lot to get into because of its style/world but there is a market for them. Netflix really struggle with how/what they advertise and their UI/algorithm could do with a major shake up, unless it's relentlessly pimped, it's lost in the shuffle and it takes someone with patience to give newer/surreal shows a chance. I'm just waiting for them to can F is Family next.

I'm glad that Adult Swim picked it up and hopefully it will be included in their UK broadcasting deal so it can potentially reach a wider audience.

Fair play to Jed Mecurio if it turns out that the actual police force is the OCG and top government ministers are using the force and organised crime to stir up public unrest. I can’t imagine where he’d have gotten that idea from though.

I've watched the entire lot of LOD in the last week. How a wrestling board hasn't clued up that Jed Mecurio is Vince Russo in disguise is beyond me. The show is solid and you get one spectacular episode per series but there's more twists than pissed up amateurs at a blackjack night. The highs and lows are stacked in the wrong places and there hasn't been a good feel (I understand that it's the police, there is no good feelings as such.) season finale. The whole team would have been shit canned by season 3 but is that the further twist, they're all in it on it they just don't know it.

There's enough to hold interest but people have lost their marbles if this is some proclaimed masterpiece.

Bent coppers is a good meme.

Better picture, the lighting from the reveal really let it down. It's a shocker to a lot of people because the 4th incarnation was an absolute gem so this had way too much pressure on it to follow. It's way bigger than it looks too and clocks in at a whopping 13lbs which for a belt is hefty. On average belts weigh between 7-9lbs.

Dan Van Alst, owner of BeltsByDan and belttalk.com made the title but had next to no input on design/leather layout, the design is all New Japan. There's more pictures info on his sites/twitter if you want to find out more.

With a few design tweaks it could be iconic but at this stage its going to take some time to get used to.

Thank you for your help/replies. Switching the settings has certainly helped but it's not as responsive compared to a PS4/5.

Forza is playing much better now, I even tried using a steering setup on it but the gear changes were horrific. (Or I'm a shit driver.) If they could somehow nail the handling down like Gran Turismo has always done this would be the best console driving game by a long shot.

  5. Got an XBox One recently and extremely impressed with game pass/ultimate. I've blasted through State Of Decay 2 (Which was my main reason for getting an XBO.) and I'm in the early stages of Forza Horizon 4 which is probably the best driving game I've played since Gran Turismo 6 but I'm completely underwhelmed by the controller and it's response time to input, its too clunky and lagging to keep me playing for a sustained period.

I've tried it wired and otherwise with both performing around the same. Does anyone else with an XBO struggle with it?

  6. Christian and Edge vs Road Dogg and X-Pac - Backlash 2000.

On a otherwise memorable and solid card it still featured Bossman/Bull Buchanan vs APA, T&A vs Dudley Boyz but those still served a purpose/had a moment.

C&E vs DX did not, it was a waste of all of their talents and C&E coming off their big win at Wrestlemania produced a damp squib. Nothing clicked, it was sloppy and the ending was flat for a sneaky/cheat win. The match was most notable for Channel 4 blurring out the shit blade job X-Pac did.

Backlash 2000 was a banger of a PPV though so it's easy to forget.

  7. Dark Angel (Aka I Come In Peace.) I watched this when I was younger and always got some of the details mixed up with other films similar to this but it was an easy watch with bags of cheesy silliness and violence. Dolph Lundgren's hair do is very off putting in this.

Dead Man's Shoes Annual rewatch, still great.

US Made out to be a masterpiece and a new direction for horror. Nope. Its a solid film but there's just so many holes to poke through, its messy and the final third/explanation was a big disappointment. Don't even get me started on how laughable some of the characteristics were.

Out of interest. Where do you think it failed to adapt? The porn industry has always been an innovator. At one point the most succussful 3D movie profit wise was a porno, which no doubt helped the pursuit of improving the technology. Also, online credit card security was in a lot of ways created by and credited to the porn industry.

It's main failure which continues to this day is the state the industry came to be through its old methods of producer power, abuses of performers and the negligence or refusal to accept the consequences of their actions. The ones that have learnt from this survive but will not thrive in the future. The refusal to adapt to how platforms (Social media mainly.) have evolved. Take tube sites, everyone and their dog could see how it was going to go and porn producers could have provided itself with a fairly easily revenue stream with a half decent site but they sat on that method/failed to adapt until it was too late and their content was readily available for people like Rancidpunx to take of advantage of. They prolapsed their own money pit on that front.

What 3D movie was that? That isn't innovative, it capitalised on the technology and the gamble paid off but for that one success, how many failed before it? It didn't improve it otherwise it would have been heralded and used in a wider scope, as far as I know, it hasn't.

Credit card security again was a means to end wasn't it? If nobody could purchase safely, no money. It may have a hand in a formation of a certain type of credit card security but once they had it locked in they failed to update/improve upon it which led to masses leaks of data from major porn sites from 2005 onwards. Even now its still below the standards of what's needed today.

I don't think there's an issue with OnlyFans itself, it's been a godsend for sex workers and amateurs during the pandemic. It's berks like Bella Thorne misusing the platform that's the problem.

The issue of the rise of Onlyfans is that it promotes a for all attitude and glamourises itself as a fair and equal platform when it clearly isn't. It has created false expectations amongst content creators, especially new and amateurs that they will make money, they don't advertise it but it is heavily implied by those who champion it from within the industry that its a guarantee. The success of it has bred a false narrative that you can make money for very little effort. Onlyfans efforts to recognise false accounts and scams relating to account spoofing/spawning is shockingly poor. Its failure to acknowledge that not everyone is going to be a success or support/advice for its content creators in regards to safety or mental health issues is piss poor.

Furthermore, it's being pushed as a force for good (And I acknowledge its a lot better than most of the porn industry.) in a sordid industry but on the other hand fails to combat its influence on younger generations who are seeing Onlyfans dominate sexually suggestive content on platforms like Twitter, Snapchat and Instagram.

It's a more polished front but it isn't as fair or as great as it's been made out to be. That said it is significantly ahead of any of it's competitors in the porn market. Like those before it, it champions itself as a leader before seeing problems that have and will be continued to be caused by it. Nothing is ever going to be idyllic on any front in our lifetime but for an industry that's been dragged through mud, sometimes by itself you'd think they'd be someone in there who thinks a few steps ahead of money.

    @Chris B That's a great post.

  9. Onlyfans is a fucking scam. I have no problem with the concept of paying for porn but it has decimated the amateur scene/new start ups.

It's also created another level of scamming which so far has been kept off the radar of US regulators who'd love nothing more than to further demonise the industry and collect their piece of the pie.

The Western world porn industry failed to adapt when it really needed to but slowly and reluctantly took progressive steps forwards which by now has only prolonged its stronghold on how it use to operate. It forced people to adapt around it instead of with it whilst potentially bringing in a new age. Its failed and we're left with the wasteland we've got.

  10. Finished The Office (US version.) and I can't believe how stupid I've been to never give it a go until now. I'll put it down to hating the UK version as to why its been avoided for years.

Solid show all the way through, always a line/scene/moment in every episode and no doubt a good few episodes in each season will need a go over to pick up bits/jokes. I will throughly enjoy that.

S8 and early S9 weren't as strong as the rest but the finale episodes tied it in a neat bow, sweet and simple.

Only letdowns were Gabe and a non ending to Todd Packer.

  11. This year's exams have got me stressed out as we're heading towards what would be exam season and there's still no indication of what to expect in terms of how things are going to be assessed and the way its going to be implemented.

Junior was the victim of Gove's wackybacky laureate revision when his year group were the first to undergo the changed year 6 SATS tests. The stress it put schools, teachers and the kids themselves was immense and squeezed about 3 years of teaching into one mashed year. He was bringing homework back that was then expected of kids in year 8 and 9, it fried their minds and put a lot off education.

Now his year group are in another heavily pressurised situation which has not yet been organised properly and up until Christmas was geared up to do exams on the governments hellbent ignorance and insistence.

I'm confident that whatever comes he'll be able to pass but week on week it's becoming more of a battle to keep him going in that direction and a lot of his age group feel/are discontent with how they've been hung out to dry. The government failed to learn after last year's mess and a damming indication of its failure is that it came into this year heading full force in the same direction and the complete lack of preparation for anything different is astonishing. I particularly feel for educators who've been battered pillar to post and left as an afterthought by the government and media. I can't thank all those who waded through all this for their efforts, I can't imagine how hard its been to keep it all together throughout all this.

I'm worried about my sons and his peers future education, prospects and the world he's/they're going to fully grow into. The time for change could have come whilst all this is going on but we're doomed to repeat until someone comes along who doesn't bury their head in the sand and is interested in how the education system can evolve and improve to provide a better experience and quality of life for all involved.

Exams shouldn't be the be all and end all but it is. The question is, how do we change that?

  12. Holy shit this was a bad game. Bad game. As I am writing this, the end credits have just crashed. To top it off the game completely ignored my end choice regardless of what I did after loading it twice.

The overall game play improved once they did 100gb or so of updates but it still didn't cover up the whole mess it is.

The main storyline is a giant turd bucket. No one is likeable, there's no big twists or turns that you can't see a million miles off and there's no real control of the story that the falsely promoted.

Side jobs are repetitive but side missions with full character interactions are better than the main story.

I did pretty much everything on the map bar two side jobs that bugged out and there was no fix. Cars aren't worth buying because you can find one of the fastest/best cars straight off the bat for free. You'll need about 2 million Eddies to get them all, I missed five because I ran out of Eddies with only the last mission to do.

I appreciate the effort they've put into this and if they pulled it off as intended then it would be a half decent game but it's not. It's a shambles.

Ah well, they've had my money so what does it matter. I hope you all enjoy it more than I have. Its getting buried at the bottom of the drawer for a good year or so and is already gone off the HD.

    Good luck, chooms.

I'm usually offered gamepass whenever I login to my XBox at the moment. I'm pondering whether to give it or PSNow a crack so as to try and get some PS3 games I missed out on played.

PSNow has improved since it enables certain games downloads instead of streaming but it isn't worth it compared to Gamepass. You can usually pick up a PS3 and the games you're after for less than a few months if PSNow.

  14. I'll second the King of Swings post in regards to Cyberpunk.

I hate it. I went in with an open mind and it's lower than low. Compared to others I'm on an old jet powered fanned PS4 and its only crashed twice.

However the menus are exceptionally slow to load/respond and half the time just do the opposite of what you wanted. Dialogue interaction is really bad with the characters waiting around until the coding catches up and let's you get on with it.

Most people praise the writing but I see nothing in it. It's very lazy and contrived/clichéd. You can easily see where things are going way before the characters get through their bits that it sucks any sort of will to progress.

The beginning was atrocious and then I was put with probably the shittiest sidekick in any game I've played in Jackie. No one I've met in the story so far is likeable enough to want me to keep on playing through the story but there's not much else to do on it.

Driving is a complete mess, coupled with the minimap just sending you all over, it can't make its mind up where you're actually supposed to be going. Combat aiming is piss poor and you're guaranteed to miss shots at point blank range for whatever reason the computer decides to.

The game doesn't really explain anything which isn't wholly unexpected in a lot of games but you've got an in game system that needs to be explained in regards to guns, augments and an absolutely bizzare "hacking" system that requires no effort once you decode its gibberish explanation.

Avoid at all costs or borrow it off someone you know if they were unfortunate to pay for it.

I can see where they eventually want to go with it but its unforgivable to have that much hype and development to end up with this shambles of a product.

  15. @scratchdj Fifa looks really good, thanks for replying and posting footage. I'm wondering if online play will become better now because the system might be able to process things much faster than previous generations or EA haven't sorted their shitty servers out and it will just be a faster shitshow than players currently get.

Since the X was hard reset and no external HDD/SSD's plugged in, its ran as it should be expected to. No crashes, no insane heat or no delays. It seems a decent bit of kit when it's running well, the load times on Mortal Kombat 11 both off and online were seriously impressive. Older games have run amazingly well and fast too.

Microsoft still need to sort the adaptive software out in terms of user interface, 3rd party games/items and the flow of servers but it's early days and things can only improve.

I'm still not tempted by either myself at the moment but another year or two and I'll be on board.

@Rule One Yeah, that sounds really broken. Mine’s been rock solid, icy cold and whisper quiet ever since I’ve got it. I’d say anything other than that is worth a return.

My PS5 arrived yesterday and the controller is fucking wonderful. Astro’s Playroom is possibly the best Mario game since Galaxy.

Cheers for the reply, he's keeping the console for the moment as there's no way he's getting a replacement in the next month or so.

It's been running fine today, cold as ice and really quiet, no shutdowns or crashes. I think the integration between the SSD, external HDD/SSD's has been bodged along with a lot of the backwards compatibility.

I can't make heads or tails of this upgraded nonsense. He's put in Mortal Kombat 11 and it's got about 100gb of downloading to do overall so it can look a tiny bit better in 4k as far as I can gather. The install menu makes no sense but we're letting it run through to see how the console handles things.

It's certainly put me off considering getting one.

An Alan Carr lookalike who used to be a bank teller, a fact I also enjoy. I'll always remember the first time I heard SPATBB - was riding through rural Alabama to the liquor store in my buddy Beau's vintage Chevy Z28, he stuck the aux cable in and said "Check these boys out". Having been brought up on Muscle Shoals soul by my mum, it was like a warm hug. Love that SPATBB continue that tradition of the best soul music being performed by Alabamian country boys.

I saw Colter Wall that same trip, playing 3 songs on the bill of a charity gig in Nashville. This would have been September 2015, so about 18 months before his first full-length album came out. His manager at the time is an acquaintance of mine so briefly met him that night, recall him coming across as exceptionally shy both in person & on stage.

I'm very jealous that you have got to see them both. SPATTB were supposed to be doing a tour over here this year until things went tits up. I'm hopeful that when things start to pick up again that they'll come over and I'll be first in line to catch them.

I'd love to see Colter live too but I fear that may take a trip to America to do so. I'd would have loved to have been a spectator when he played the Music City Roots gig in 2017. I imagine his voice to be even better live.

  18. My top listens have been/were:

    Brockhampton's entire collection.

Colter Wall - Kate McCannon was his most hammered track by far. Just an absolutely outstanding artist.

St Paul and the Broken Bones - Ever seen an Alan Carr lookalike who sings like a soul king? No? Neither did until I fell upon SPATBB and I haven't stopped listening since.

NPR's Tiny Desk Concerts - Just so many gems in guests who seem to put a real effort into delivering a good performance. Most of the stripped down songs sound way better than the originals.

  19. Has anyone got an Series X? My brother got one today and it's been nothing short of a nightmare.

He rushed through setting it up and it just started being a twat. It shut down twice for no reason and when he plugged his HDD in to transfer his XBO stuff over and it just went scolding hot and shut down.

A hard reset and a slow walk through it seems to be running ok now. The loading speeds are impressive but the pad is noisy as fuck.

Just wondering if anyone else has one and/or encountered any problems with yours.

Odd one. But I'm curious as to what thickness the plates are on the old 90s WWF title belts. I see a lot of replicas around and those vary in thickness (4mm, 6mm, 8mm). And the Euroshop replicas are awful and not thick at all. Just curious how the thickness of all these compares to the real deal belts.

4mm is the standard thickness for real belts, it has been since Reggie Parks designs became prominent in the 80's.

The weight of zinc sheets used for etching plates produced the best results in terms of etching and weight distribution when attached to leather at 4mm. Anything above that can lead to designs etching being off, (Not by much.) depth perception being misleading and plating looking different/off because how light reflects off them. 6mm tends to be slightly heavier and wears the leather down significantly quicker especially if its just used for display purposes. 4mm is also best for when plates are rolled to give them a slight curve. Too thin and a plate can crack, too thick/heavy and it has to be rolled more which can lead to cracks and stretching/warping.

WWF/E, WCW, NWA/etc from the mid 80's onwards were pretty much 4mm. As processes advanced then experimentation with other materials and plate thickness came into play.

Up until around 2018, most replicas were 2mm and poorly processed. The replicas are made out of cheaper metals and stamp pressed into shape. The elite series range from 2010 until 2018 improved slightly being 4mm but they were still stamped.

Credit to WWE in the last few years they've stepped up their game in regards to replicas, anything from the 2019 range and upwards is of better quality and clock in at around 5mm. The Rocks Brahma Bull belt they did is really good. However the plates are generally hollow on the back to reduce weight/cost and you can see the stamping process in them sometimes.

The 2mm and 6mm stock range is generally flat as a pancake and poorly made, they've still got tons of them left over and are trying to get rid of them under the signature superstar editions (Like the Triple H and Undertaker belts , older replica plates with a wacky "leather" design.) they've been knocking out.

    Hope this helps.

  21. Yakuza 6 is good but it feel it just lacks a litte something to make it great. It's one of the better games in the series.

3 was a bit of a slog but there was enough to get me through it.

2 and 4 are the weakest of the bunch.

5 is batshit insane (The first few chapters.) and I can see why some people don't like it but I was just so glad it wasn't so Kamarucho focused. There's plenty to do in it.

I'm waiting until 7 goes down because I'm not that interested in this was as I have been in the others and the change to the combat system has put me off a little.

0 has the right balance and enough to keep you playing until the end, probably the best of them all.

  22. Today, I went for the chav look.

    £50 from Foot Locker

The following were £42.50 from Size? due to some discolouration on one of the shoes but I'm going to experiment with paint/dye and see how that plays out:

Also @SuperBacon have you seen the shoes Hummel have put out?

  23. Friday the 13th - Part 8 - Jason Takes Manhattan.

Jason didn't take Manhattan, just a bunch of clichéd teenagers and two boats. Still fun in places and Jason's reaction at the hockey billboard was a particular highlight.

Back on the shelf it goes forever and part 2 or 5 are the worst though this comes close.

  24. Don't know if it's nationwide (I'm in the Greater Manchester area.) but CEX have been selling the standard version of Fifa 21 for the past few days which isn't supposed to be released until tomorrow. Picked up a copy today and they said they've had no problems playing it in store so far.

Rule One Junior is going to be chuffed when he gets home providing the game doesn't get time locked.
