Flight home cancelled on Monday so spent an extra day in London and eventually got home last night.

Out of curiosity, did you have to foot the all the bills for now and claim it back later, or did the airline take care of it upfront? I was stressed enough just thinking about all that being possible for a few hours on Monday.

  2. Just got fully caught up on the thread now and didn't see this mentioned yet. Were we supposed to know what that Penta return bit was about? I'm a semi-casual AEW viewer, I'm used to some stuff going over my head. That seemed like it went over everyone's heads though. No one around me reacted at all. It was a weird miss when nearly everything else on the show went over so well.

  3. Not long home and not got a lot of constructive words in me after an exhausting day travelling. I got lucky, both the Edinburgh flights before and after mine got buried by technology. Hope all the UKFF dawgz got home okay.

I just wanted to say: I had an amazing time! I'm definitely All In 2/3. I was in 226 and loved those seats, I missed quite a few small details (I hope someone assaulted Abrahantes during the Stadium Stampede), but that'll just add more enjoyment into watching it back. The fireworks flying up during Hangman Gape's entrance was the first time I thought "this really is our Wrestlemania" and it was nowhere near the last. I'm shit at taking pictures but I quite like this one...

Seeing Sting again was my main motivation for coming. It's been beautiful and completely surreal watching him wrestling in recent years on TV, seeing him in a packed Wembley? Special.

  4. I'm pretty boring, I mostly just have Coke or Pepsi. I love the Fanta pineapple, but I'm not willing to pay the ridiculous price for a case often. If it was easily available in shops here I'd have it all the time. I got excited a few months ago when I saw Fanta pineapple and grapefruit in Asda and hoped it would be siimilar, đŸ˜  it was just jabroni Lilt repackaged.

  5. I wish Sony would try another proper handheld again. The Vita's a little gem, easily hackable, properly portable and great battery life. I regret not getting one until looong after it was dead. If I wasn't paranoid about old burn-in/or could trust that one was actually new I'd happily pay full RRP for an OLED model, it must have looked beautiful in its day.

  6. Today I learned how quick the process of getting a hearing aid was (although getting the actual appointment took ages). I chummed my dad to the specialist earlier, we (based on nothing) assumed it would be the start of a long process of tests, diagnosing the problem and maybe doing fittings if it turned out he needed a hearing aid etc. I stayed in the waiting room. He was sorted and out in like 10 minutes flat!

What time are people thinking of getting to Wembley for? Haven’t been to anything on this sort of scale for some time and not sure how long I’ll be looking at to get in etc.

Trying to suss out how early to get there to avoid stress and make sure I don’t miss the pre show.

I've had nightmares getting in before for football. I don't think we'll be needing policed on Sunday like Chelsea fans*, but I'm going to try and get in the queue for 4.

    * Unless someone boos Sting. Then I'm plastic glassing them.

  8. I'm sad it sounds like Lewis Hall's on the way out. The kid's a baller. To come in to that Chelsea team, be in your first handful of pro games and not look fazed at all shows ice cool composure. If he doesn't want to be a left back, this move's fair enough for all parties, there's no guarantee he'd ever get a fair chance of breaking into our midfield, he'll have a lot of suitors now and we'll get a bloody good fee.

If he is okay with being a left back, we'll regret letting him go pretty quickly.

  9. I started working my way back from #1 and was getting increasingly more incensed at the heinous disrespect of Headhunter before I realised it must have just been for the US region only. We only got it in Europe. Death threats retracted.

Respect for having Dynamite Cop so high, Die Hard Arcade is a banger in any form!

  10. There's only room for one Lacey in wrestling/my heart. She can be found at conventions trying to pressure fans into sinking some afternoon cans with her and insulting them when they refuse.

The best thing you can say about Lacey Evans is that her and Corbin against Becky and Seth was nowhere near the worst PPV main event ever, despite it looking nailed-on on paper.

The cast for that Lioness: Special Ops is mad for a show that sounds like it should be on Sky One featuring Ross Kemp. Had no idea Taylor Sheridan was involved.

Three episodes in, I quite like it. More spy shit than straight up army stuff works for me. We've seen it all before but once you can get past some girl working in a food truck turning up at the marines like it's Brock at the Minnesota Vikings or Drogba coming to the MLS and immediately destroying everyone, it's well written and acted. Sometimes sheer talent shines through.

It's working out much better than when I watched that may as well be Strike Back, with may as well be Ross Kemp (Mark Strong) just because Walton Goggins was in it eventually!

  12. https://www.thegamecollection.net/extra-reward-points

The Game Collection are offering an extra £10 back in reward points for quite a few upcoming (and a some recently released) games. Their prices are always good as it is. I'd have been getting MK, Fifa, MGS and Spidey anyway, getting the majority of a fifth game for free is pretty nice!

It does work for multiple games. You don't get the points until the game has shipped though.

  13. Would be gutted to miss out on Caicedo. The only player who can replace Kante, who was the only player who could replace Essien. It's not like having one of those players is the only route to success, there's always plenty of good traditional DMs out there but when you have one who can uncannily be everywhere (and productively, unlike a Gallagher type), with crazy instincts it's a massive help. Him and Enzo would be a perfect midfield two.

  14. The only reason I got a firestick in the first place was because in 2019 the Network weirdly decided that my bloody good Samsung 4K/HDR 2016 model telly was too archaic to bother keeping their smart app on!

I've never had an issue with the app itself until now though, in playback or layout, now both are disastrous.

  15. During Summerslam I had to turn off the screensaver thing on my fire stick because if I just let it play for 10 minutes or whatever it would start acting like it was idle. The app is so shit is can't even acknowledge that it was playing a video! And when I had to go back in not only was there no option to resume from where I left off, but there was no option to even watch from the start, so I had to go to watch live, be at risk of spoiling anyone getting their hand raised/lifting a title etc then rewind back. It's absolutely worthless.

Halfway through Twisted Metal. It's pretty mid, which is a minor miracle given what it's based on. There's been a couple of bits that were funny, it's always moving, lots of action. Samoa Joe's physical charisma in episode 5 is pretty impressive, he's actually good at this! Half hour episodes make it a pretty easy watch. All the ingredients for a guilty pleasure.

They need to be building up to a car battling tournament where the winner is granted a wish by the devil or whatever the games were about though. I'm all about that stupidity.

    Done now.

    Spoiler

They're doing it! If it even gets a second season. I hope this doesn't end up like the Sarah Connor Chronicles where I'm pining for a conclusion to a show I don't even like much just because of an unresolved finale.

Sweet Tooth's head should have been on fire the whole time, just because.

It stayed okay up until the end. The hit-rate on the jokes got better as it went on and I grew fond of Quiet. 5/10. Big apology for assuming it was going to be worse than Dead Shitty and Shitadel.

Going to try Lioness: Special Ops next. It looks pretty generic, but If I see "written by Taylor Sheridan" I'm trying it. Cast looks good too.
