I enjoyed that A Quiet Place rip off he did for as much as a 2 star Nic Cage film can be enjoyed. I liked The Backrooms for the feelings it evoked but as a film with plot and motivation etc it wasn’t that great. It did make me kind of nostalgic for the abandoned bowling alley side of the old cinema ran by the local serial killer we used to go to as kids.

Just finished series 4 of Slow Horses. A few things of note from this one are that the continuation of the Scratch and Sniff nicknames is wonderful, River has cut his hair and now looks like Daniel Osbourne from Corrie and Roddy Ho is absolutely essential to my enjoyment of this show. Even though I think they executed the big action set piece from series 3 really well I’m glad they returned to a more espionage heavy story for this one. River Cartwright doing his never ending Tom Cruise running is all the action I need.

My lads current two obsessions are Sesame Street and American Dad (don’t ask). He’s enjoyed this clip.

Baleba, Mainoo and Bruno should be the basis of an excellent midfield. Amad is one of the best young wingers in the league and Mbeumo is a good to very good player. The rest of the team is fucked, they should probably throw the bank at Harry Kane at the end of the season and hope he misses seeing union jacks on lampposts enough to want to move back to Britain. I doubt they have the pull though to be honest and would expect to see him move to Barcelona or someone much higher profile these days. The goalie is a decent young goalie but that’s a poor standard for a team looking to establish itself amongst the top order. What happened to them getting Emi Martinez that summer? He’s nowhere near the keeper he and pundits think he is but he’s good and has a big personality. Anyway, Ronnie Araujo is the nuts and the fact there’s Liverpool fans who want Trent back when we have this beautiful mad bastard who treats tackles and clearances like goals is proof that some people just like transfers and don’t watch footy.

I reckon that Ineos gimp gets as far as being called a cunt by Conte in Contes first face to face meeting and they quickly usher in Eddie Howe to bring my #HoweByXmas prediction in on schedule.

Spurs at home to Palace, away to Leeds and home to Ipswich in the next three. I’d lump on them not to win one. It’s almost the only time you can predict a Spurs outcome is after a big win.

Forgotten Island seems to have cherry picked the best aspects of recent animation successes and made a really great film out of them. A good story with a really sweet believable friendship at its core. It’s definitely one of the kids films I don’t regret sitting through.

I imagine the people who carry out such heinous acts as those the grim reaper up there described in such thrilling detail aren’t of a mindset that a punishment of any sort is all that separates them from doing it and living a nice normal life.
