Paid Members Sergio Mendacious Posted January 6, 2017 Paid Members Share Posted January 6, 2017  Bossa Rio — Blackbird (Beatles cover)  Interesting one, this — to me, at least. Gracinha Leporace, Sergio Mendes' wife, was the female lead singer for this Sergio-produced group. Now, I adore Brasil '66 and Sergio in general, but this proves to me without full input or Lani Hall, his work just isn't on the same level (same for Lani Hall, who wasn't the same at all produced by anyone else). It's pleasant enough, but a bit cheap in comparison to the genius of the Serge/Lani work of the 60s.  See, interesting to me, shit boring to anyone else.
