The Cum Doctor
Jimmy Eat World - 23 Â I didn't want to put this in the 2008 thread because it's not a 2008 song. It's a right belting song though and probably the best song that JEW have done to this point.
Moderators neil Posted August 4, 2008 Moderators Share Posted August 4, 2008 I don't have this on sendspace or anything, but felt like posting and bumping - so sue me.Can't stop listening to Straight to Hell by The Clash. Yeah, I'll admit it I found this song by wondering what the sample was in Paper Planes by MIA, but this song is absolutely brilliant.Great lyrics and such an awesome sound to it. Mr. Seven
Going to resurrect this, but probably just going to post YouTube stuff as it's quicker and easier. Â Today's song comes from The Dodos, and it's called "Fools". I'm not sure how to describe it, but it wouldn't sound out of place on the soundtrack to a Wes Anderson film. Black Flag
Boosting this back up to share with you all the wonders of 12 Stone Toddler. I was introduced to them late last year and have just picked up the album, which is rather cool. They mix a rock/metally sound with blues, funk and swing and the result is pretty fantastic. The vocalist at times sounds very Mike Patton, particularly in the 3rd song here, and they carry the stong bassline of FNM in several songs also. Here be a wee selection for you to enjoy:12 Stone Toddler - Twang12 Stone Toddler - The Rabbit12 Stone Toddler - Precious CargoThere's a good chance i've monged up at least one of the links as I usually seem to do so let me know if something doesn't work.Any chance of a re-up of those songs, my good man? I've just heard The Rabbit and a few more of their songs and they are stupidly awesome.
