David
Vasquez/Marquez IV this weekend!!! if you are remotely a fan of boxing, it's a fight you need to watch. It'll probably end up being fight of the year. I recently watched the first three fights a week or so ago to get me amped up for this.  There aren't many boxing fights that get me as excited as MMA fights these days, but this is the exception to that rule. Paid Members wandshogun09 Posted May 21, 2010 Paid Members Share Posted May 21, 2010 Yeah should be a belter.I've been watching a lot of old boxing the last few days. The first Castillo-Corrales fight, some Leonard-Hagler-Hearns-Duran stuff.Gatti vs Ward fights and a few Eubank and Benn fights. Â Watched Benn vs McClellan earlier, for the first time since I first saw it at the age of 9.Almost feel bad for saying this considering what happened with McClellan but it was a truly amazing fight. The atmosphere and emotion involved before and during that fight is something that's sorely missing in today's boxing. Â The aftermath of the fight still makes for disturbing viewing though. Â Such a shame what happened to McClellan. He was a really promising talented boxer and it's sad that he lost his career and more importantly his quality of life. RoryFice
Did anyone else watch the Super-Bantamweight Prizefighters on Sky this weekend? I just watched it with my mate and thought it was really good and a bit better than the cruiserweight one in April. Â I wont spoil it for anyone that hasnt yet seen it, but I'd advise that you watch one of the repeat showings if any are left. There's a couple of all-out wars to be seen. Paid Members nfc90210 Posted June 4, 2010 Paid Members Share Posted June 4, 2010 It's frustrating that the Miguel Cotto/Yuri Foreman fight, which is being held at Yankee Stadium, isn't being show on UK TV.
Dom
It's frustrating that the Miguel Cotto/Yuri Foreman fight, which is being held at Yankee Stadium, isn't being show on UK TV. Â Tell me about it. Looks like I'll be spending the wee hours of sunday morning squinting at my computer screen watching it on SopCast. It really vexes me that Sky aren't showing this and that Primetime haven't picked it up either (I'd willingly pay
Paid Members wandshogun09 Posted June 5, 2010 Paid Members Share Posted June 5, 2010 Yeah Im surprised its not on Sky Sports.I love watching Cotto, gonna have to watch online I guess. Â Its times like this where I really miss Setanta. The boxing coverage on there was really good plus we got Steve Bunce's Boxing Hour which I used to love. Â A year ago we had Sky,Setanta and ITV4 showing live boxing on a regular basis.I wish ESPN would show more live stuff.

There's a couple of all-out wars to be seen. i aint seen the whole show but i boy i know was in it.  I only saw the one fight, because i was on a stag do and had to sneak off to a casino to watch the one quarter final (if he'd won, id have been in there all night).  Robbie Turley, he fought Jamie Arthur in the first round and lost via a very close decision (commentator had it a draw), he was a late call-up to the tournament and did very well (although he fought dirty ). I know him through his brother, been to see him fight a few times locally. He did himself proud.
