Finished with The Prisoner.

I watched an interview with Patrick McGoohan right afterwards which helped me understand the conclusion a wee bit more, but for the most part, I'm still trying to get my head around the last few episodes. I absolutely loved that series and after downloading it, I think the parting of money might be in order in the near future. The music through it was awesome as well.

I've just finished watching all the Critters movies, having started on Friday morning. The first is still as good as I remember it to be, as is the sequel, but watching parts 3 and 4 made me reminisce about the times when I didn't think they were shit. :/

While I'm at it, anyone fancy helping me choose a DVD to watch? Just pick any letter followed by a number between 1 and 10.

Finally got round to seeing Terminator Salvation. The trailers spoiled the big surprise of 'I dont know im a terminator' leaving you with about an hour of pointless dialogue. The action seens were all good but the story didn't give me any interest.

I honestly think the twist could have been a good one had they not ruined it in the trailer.

SPOILER - Highlight the black box to read

One of the end scenes at skynet in which the Helena Bonham Carter character reveals the entire plot of the machines to Marcus could have had a larger WTF? factor had we not known Marcus was a machine from the beginning.

Good action though and I think a sequel will work quite well as I would love to see the sending back in time of Kyle Reese. Also, the idea of more machines going back in time such as the Harvester I think is a good one and could make a very epic film. The fact that this film seemed to ignore the initial forming of the human resistance and just jumped into the middle of things I thought was a bad move. I would have thought seeing the initial creation of the human resistance would have made a good movie in itself.

I haven't! I do love Nic Cage though, he's so bad he's great. I've seen fuck all films this year due to being a poor student, but TS is definitely on the worst list. Benjamin Button might be #1 actually now I think of it.

Nothing current, but I just picked up a load of DVDs cheap at my local CEX. I have bought:

Matewan

Inland Empire

Battlestar Galactica: Season 1

Deadwood: Season 2

The 13th Warrior

Fist Of The North Star: Complete Series

Will post comments later.

Good list that!

Inland Empire I want to see.

Deadwood is of course the fucking business.

13th Warrior I really like, though apparently it's been severely cut from a longer, much more epic version, which I hope they oneday release.

Fist Of The North Star I've never seen, but it sounds like a top Jap porno.

I really enjoyed the origional Fist of the North Star series. Its really daft violent fun. Every episode is essentially the same structure but i happen to like that structure. The only trouble is the UK Manga box is very much not the complete series. Its the 1st 40 or so. There are another 100 from what i can remember reading. I thought the 3 episode remake had promise but was abit dull over all.
