The UKFF [Nearly-Official] Questions Thread

I've only seen Jericho/Mysterio & Eddie/Chavo but on paper the card looks to have 5 potentially very good matches, Goldberg/Curt could have been good too, but matches 3, 5, 6 & 10 look wank.

Giant v Greene was, IIRC, miraculously very decent - partly because Wight still had a bit of passion, partly because Greene seemed to have a real talent for this type of thing. Plus, Stevie Ray v Chavo wasn't much of a match: IIRC, Chavo tapped out on a hand-shake, avoiding the plans of his evil uncle Eddy to face the youngster once he'd been beaten up like a Fruit Booty...

Yeah, that's exactly what happened. Eddie/Chavo, Rey/Jericho, Kidman/Juvie and Saturn/Raven were all pretty good. Giant's match and Bret/Booker were OK, typical Goldberg nonsense in the semi and typical WCW nonsense in the main. Not a bad show at all.EDIT - Don't remember a thing about Disco/Konnan. They had a pretty decent singles bout on PPV but that was a bit later on. Edited by Leicester Lantern

Okay does anyone know why Jerichos Lion Tamer has gone from being an original submission to just a boston crab? the pressure used to be put on the neck now its on the back!

I've seen him state in a couple of interviews that it was because he was wrestling much bigger guys regularly when he got to WWE and it just didn't look as good so he decided to change it.

Without wanting to sound like sabumark I'm actually quite intrigued by one of his questions. When Beyond the Mat was released was it straight to DVD or was it given a theatrical release first? And if so how was it received critically and commercially? Ditto for Wrestling with Shadows.

He commented for the entire show on 2 or maybe 3 Raw's around that time, that was all.

Was he any good? Was it a trial run? Were was the King?
King was fired after quitting with Ms. Kitty. He well regretted that one, when she ran off with someone, a few weeks later.Probably wrong, should really read the questions fully. Edited by bAzTNM

This match, I think, would be absolutely tremendous. Anybody looked at it? Opinions? Thanks.

Yeah, incorrect Baz, that was when Heyman came in. HBK did some commentary years before.
