In a week when this competition felt all so meaningless I write this with encouraging news coming from the Bills about the health of Damar Hamlin, still a very long road to go of course but in terms of where things looked just a couple of days ago its been a very positive last 24 hours

I delayed writing this as I was waiting on any news of the week being postponed but that option seems to have been dismissed now whilst It looks almost a certainty the Bengals/Bills game will not be finished (should it be played all picks from this week will count and be added to the final totals) and the NFL I imagine will announce something within the next 48 hours of what the plan will be going forward, I've seen all sorts of rumours floating around from Neutral fields for the Championship game to an extra 8th team added to the playoffs to remove the bye for the no1 seed.

Until we know anymore we go on with the final week of the regular season and a roundup of last week

I managed to cut the gap to @hbk4life at the top to 4 points whilst extending my lead over @Vegeta to 3 points, barring some big differences in predictions the top 3 may be set for the regular season

@Bradyisgod22 was the top scorer this week with 13 and also looks cemented in 4th place heading into the playoffs round

@SpykeDudlei1 was the lowest scorer with 8 which has allowed @seph to move within 2 and the battle for 5th and 6th looks to be the only real battle for the regular seasons final week

@Adam619 missed the week whilst @Fatty Facesitter returned with a double figure score

@hbk4life did enough to remain on top and takes the regular season crown and a 3 point lead into the playoff rounds

I extended my lead over 3rd place @Vegeta by a further 2 points and the gap is now 5 whilst they are now 8 from the top

@seph was joint 2nd top scorer whilst @Bradyisgod22scored 9 to move within 7 of the top 3

@SpykeDudlei1 was the top scorer and the only one to correctly predict the Lions would end the Packers playoffs hopes in Lambeau no less, just hours after their own hopes were ended with the Seahawks win who make it courtesy of the Lions win

@Adam619 missed the week once again but hopefully will come back for the playoffs as @Fatty Facesitter closes the gap to them at the bottom of the standings

Let the Playoffs Commence

LET THE PLAYOFFS COMMENCE!!!!!!!

Note: For those that are new to the game or those just wanting a quick refresher below Is a detailed explanation of how things will work over the next few weeks during the NFL Playoffs (Superbowl round has further explanations but we'll cross that bridge when we come to it)

SUPER WILDCARD WEEKEND (6 GAMES)

- Pick winners in each of the 6 games (as per regular season)

- Pick 1 Quarterback, 1 Running Back, 1 Wide Receiver, 1 Tight End, 1 Kicker and 1 Defence/Special team from the teams involved in the round

SCORING WILL WORK AS FOLLOWS

- 1 Point for every correct Match prediction (as per regular season)

-QB: 3 points for every TD pass, 6 points for every TD they score personally, 1 Point for every 50 yards passing, 1 Point for every 10 yards Rushing/receiving, Minus 2 Points for every Interception throw or Fumble lost

-RB: 6 points for every rushing or receiving TD, 1 point for every 10 yards rushing/receiving. Minus 2 points for every lost fumble

-WR/TE: 6 points for every receiving or rushing TD, 1 point for every 10 yards Receiving/rushing. Minus 2 points for every fumble lost

-KICKER: 1 point for every extra point made and 3 points for every FG made. Minus 2 point for every missed/Blocked Kick but 5 points added for an onside attempt recovered.

-DST(DEFENCE/SPECIALTEAMS): 10 points for a KO/Punt returned for a TD, 5 points if an INT or fumble is returned for a TD, 2 points for every sack on the QB, 1 Point for an INT/Fumble recovery PLUS 15 bonus points if your D holds the Opposition to a shutout in the game.

-Most Yards (Team): Choose ONE TEAM you think will accumulate the MOST NET YARDS OVER THE 6 GAMES. 5 points awarded to each player who correctly predicts the team NB: No need to predict actual yards

-Most Points (Team): Choose ONE TEAM you think will score the MOST POINTS OVER THE 6 GAMES. 5 points awarded to each player who correctly predicts the team NB: No need to predict actual points

-TOTAL NET YARDS (Eg, 2678 YARDS): predict what you think will be the TOTAL NET YARDAGE (RUSHING AND PASSING) from ALL 6 GAMES, if your guess is spot on you'll be awarded 15 points, otherwise the player closest will get 5 bonus points
