The slightest touch and they seem to fall down for what seems like forever, yet they can run in and help separate a huge brawl with no problem... It shows that the wrestlers are tougher and more powerful than your average person. There’s a difference between separating a brawl and getting hit. If a ref isn’t affected by getting hit by a wrestler, it shatters the illusion that the wrestler is a tough guy
Tim Healys Chutney Spoon
Yeah I get that but you know what I mean in so much as some of the ref bumps are ridiculous even by wrestling standards. The slightest minor touch seems to put them down for 20mins or so until someone else runs from backstage. Funny how wrestlers seem to be standing at gorilla ready to make a run in, yet referees seem to take an age, yet if its a pull-apart or backstage brawl there happens to be 8 of them just on hand to appear at the drop of the hat. Vamp
Promoter, or whoever is at gorilla, has to decide whether to wait for the current referee to recover or replace them. Then has to get an agreement from the state commission. But nobody likes a brawl.
