Although he's getting cheered, he's still essentially the same character he was as a heel. I don't necessarily mind that and I don't feel like the words of one character impacts perception of the title. He's being arrogant, but the WWE title isn't lesser because he says that it is. Your criticism is totally valid, but I don't think it does any actual damage. I do think his character is so messy that it makes storytelling very challenging, but that's another matter. Quote
