The final scores went into the opening post on Sunday night, with the uploading of the table following this morning. Thanks for all the amusing comments on this week's D2D. Coming from anyone but Rory, I'd think that the description of the J1 League match as 'sensible' would be anything but serious! Unfortunately Seph's pick for that game is void as it was posted way too late, although he probably made it in good faith. This will probably entail a further restriction on the type of teams people can include among their D2D choices from next season, since Japanese top-flight fixtures all seem to kick off far too early to be included in a normal round.

Anyhow, TUFCfan got it wrong as the former Grampus Eight - who nevertheless always played with a full complement of 11 players - won, and of the other 19 participants who bet in time, only the aforementioned Mr Fice agreed with him, although a handful of people plumped for a draw. Because of the timing snafu, however, the gap at the wrong end of the standings is increased to 5... but at least 5 others who picked earlier join Seph on 4 points this time out. It was a high-scoring out for many, however, as loads got into double figures, including SNRN10, who is now 15 points clear at the summit. Best of the lot though, was Bradyisgod22, who's finally getting the hang of this, and is this round's strongest performer on 17.

Elsewhere, the cup shock on the astroturf at Spartans caught out a lot more than the minor upset on real grass at Ibrox, although both ties were played in front of paltry crowds. The margin of victory in the latter game was tough to foresee, just as the same scoreline - albeit reversed - was at St Mary's. Less fruitful still was a similarly one-sided derby in France, but a victory for Spurs and draws at Turf Moor and the Liberty closer to home yielded their fair share of points. Newcastle's reverse at equally in-form West Ham was a bit of a surprise, whilst nobody could've expected a five-goal thriller at Loftus Road.
