The final scores went into the opening post last night, and the updated table has now been uploaded too. In a fairly high-scoring week, The Ratt did enough to remain clear at the top of the standings, whilst Seph made up for missing last week (note the full use of the wide 'missed weeks' column) by being the best performer this time out. Zebra Kid Mark moves into last place by virtue of sitting out the round, with fellow newcomer Bradyisgod22 firmly ensconced as the worst of the rest - although hallicks hasn't taken long to rediscover last year's poor form either. Reigning champion MVP did second best this week. Two people who signed up haven't played at all, so the number at the bottom will soon be reduced from 25 to 23.

So, ultimo backed United in the end (contradicting something he said in the discussion thread), but missed his chance to leapfrog Ratty at the summit as they only drew at Sunderland. However, only 6 of the other 21 participants correctly disagreed with him, demonstrating how tough many still find it the bet against The Red Devils. Elsewhere, the Italian Cup ties and a home win for Swansea proved the most fruitful outcomes. Despite the somewhat high scores, there was really no pattern to which of the other EPL scorelines players were getting right.

Nobody quite got the margin of victory in Udine spot on. I almost wrote in my picks that Antonio di Natale would score a hat-trick, but he'd completed that by half-time and went on to score two more against Ternana, although the last was only a penalty. Genoa, on the other hand, owe their progress entirely to a first-half spot kick against one of the worst teams in the second tier. In an all-islands clash, Sardinians Cagliari saw off relegated Sicilians Catania at home with ease.

That's trips to France, Germany and Italy all done with then. Next week we'll finally get round to visiting Spain before the first international break of the campaign. A new set of 10 will be up shortly.

Any idea in the history books what the lowest correct scores to win the league still is? Think I might make that my challenge, 3 weeks and only 1 correct. Nearly as bad as last year.

I seem to have misplaced a file marked 'UKFF archive', so sadly I don't have that info to hand right now, but the final table from the past 6 seasons must be somewhere in my Photobucket library.
