Fog Dude
^ No points for that I'm afraid. I also fear that anybody looking for excitement in this season's FPL would do well to concentrate on the race for second place for the rest of the campaign, since MVP RULZ got his D2D right and even managed an exact score to boot. Of the other 20 participants who got all their picks in on time, exactly half disagreed with him, netting him 20 bonuses for a total of 35 points this week. Even without those extras, he'd have been joint second best scorer this time out, level with Del and just behind Shy Dad. This leaves him with a commanding lead of 31 points in the table. And with only one D2D, one double round (at Easter) and one 'bumper' round (the final day) still to come, there won't be many chances left to overhaul that kind of figure. There is one other way to score bonus points, mind, and for the first time in ages, it was actually triggered in this round. The leader got 4 correct scorelines, so everyone else was given a point to stop him (in theory, at least) from getting too far ahead. Unfortunately, two of Seph's great innovations are working against each other here, and a single point for the other players isn't enough to undo the damage of a successful D2D bet. At the other end, hallicks missed most of the Saturday matches, and the guesses he did make weren't much good, so he only got one proper point from a possible 12 and let Seph leapfrog him by a full 8 points. Without his tardiness, 4 people would've been level on 8 points (really only 7, though) each this week. As for the other games - well, there were two identical home wins in France, with the second one catching out marginally more people than the first, but both games proved very fruitful overall. Closer to home, backing the clear favourites in the first 7 of our domestic cup ties turned out to be the most helpful course of action, although the aforementioned fixture (by Two-Face) at Vale Park had the toughest exact score to foresee. The last game, in which there was no obvious favourite, was also the least useful match for the right result, but generally it was an easy and high-scoring round. RoryFice
I also fear that anybody looking for excitement in this season's FPL would do well to concentrate on the race for second place for the rest of the campaign That's loser talk. I'm here to win, a 70 point gap is nothing, I've just been lulling everyone into over-confidence. Although one of those crazy "San Marino to beat England and your full scored is trebled" style bonus bets wouldn't go amiss
Fog Dude
Although one of those crazy "San Marino to beat England and your full scored is trebled" style bonus bets wouldn't go amiss I nearly mentioned that in the write-up actually. A lot of people got the Everton score right. I never normally bet on a side to win by more than 3 in club matches, but those gimme international fixtures are an exception. Sadly, there are no competitive international weekends left this year (only midweek friendlies) and the format for the Euro 2016 qualifiers is gonna make the next 2 seasons even crazier in that regard.
