Fog Dude
The results were in the first post on Sunday night again, but this time the table was only updated within the past hour, so apologies for the delay. Having picked a good round to miss last time out, SNRN10 returned and got a rare correct D2D as Partick didn't let him down at home to Livi. A majority of the other 22 participants - a dozen in fact - wrongly disagreed with him, so he picks up a shedload of bonus points and rockets up to third. Had he been wrong, the next best scorer who'd have replaced him to take this week's honours would've been Harvey Dent, who scored eleven. The only other person into double figures was Lawz, who thus closes the gap at the foot of the standings to 16 points, but it'll take a few more good performances like that to haul him off the bottom. In mid-table there's the usual shuffling, while at the right end cheetah was able to cut ultimo's lead slightly to 8 points. The spate of stalemates which infected the English top flight last weekend didn't help on the exact scores front, but a lot of players did still foresee draws of some kind at both Stamford Bridge and the Liberty Stadium. Everton's failure to hang on at home to the Canaries and Villa holding on at home to a misfiring Arsenal side cost quite a few points, but home wins for Spurs, Wigan and in the other match north of the border, Falkirk, all proved more fruitful. Further afield, most wouldn't have thought Lyon would collapse 3-0 away to Toulouse, and yet one person (niff) managed to take three points from that fixture! A no doubt Barton-inspired Marseille's narrow victory at home to Lille rounded things off in a more straightforward fashion in the late Sunday game. There'll be a new but somewhat messy set of 10, including yet another D2D, coming up in a few minutes.
