Fog Dude
The final scores went into the original post way back on Saturday night, with the table update coming equally swiftly in the early hours of Sunday morning. In a low-scoring round, cheetah's haul of 13 points was enough to see him go second and slightly cut the lead of Haraga, who obviously remains top despite having a mare this week. Rory was the only other participant who got into double figures, which moves him up into third spot. It should almost go without saying that Seph managed to get his D2D bet spectacularly wrong as the Maxonians were swept aside at Aggborough. However, only 10 of the other 24 players took advantage of his slip-up, and even some of those only went for a draw. The stalemate in the other Blue Square fixture didn't prove much more fruitful. North of the border, few people foresaw such a narrow margin of victory for Rangers up in the Highlands, while only one correctly had Deveronvale down to shock supposedly superior opposition - but didn't get the exact score. Incidentally, my flatmate in halls is from Peterhead, but I didn't know that would be the case when I decided to put that match on the card just after the Cup draw was made. Speaking of which, Round 3 looks utter cack so we'll probably give it a miss. Further afield, both Bundesliga results were useful for most, moreso Bayern's victory on the road at the Weserstadion. Back in the English top flight, Spurs' success at Old Trafford obviously messed up a lot of guesses, but the earlier 3 scorelines weren't much better for many of you either. Right, that'll do. It's gone midnight already, and although this isn't as tardy as last week, it's not the time to be slipping into lateness habits. So let's get on with the next thread ASAP...
