UFC Undisputed 3 Thread

Here's a guide on the tire flip drill. It's easy now I know how.

I started a new career at HW, I'm using an MMA template fighter instead of the Boxer from last time. I wanted to get as much Cred as possible so I went into the UFC after 8 fights, and lost to Ben Rothwell in devastating fashion. I had to get by through rematching a few of the scrubs and now I'm starting to make waves in the top 10 after getting my stats up a little. Career seems much more difficult this year. That is no bad thing mind.

I'm still terrified to go back online. 2-13, I'm the videogame version of James McSweeney :(

I restarted my career since I was a jiu-jitsu fighter then restarted with a MMA fighter and he handled so much better with KO power ended with 47-1 career . Luckily I did it all pride gp twice, wfa, ufc middleweight and welterweight champion. Finished with 89 stat points overall. The front face kick and flying knee on level 3 works wonders it can rock anyone at anytime.

Dunno if I should try online has it been fixed?

I finished career but then went and edited the fighter to give him new gear and without thinking I clicked overwrite save instead of new save, I didn't really think it would matter since I was only changing his shorts and cap. But now he no longer has the hall of fame symbol or UFC belt next to him and I can't use him in both middleweight and lightheavyweight anymore. All his stats are still the same but I liked using him at middleweight online, I can only choose him at lightheavyweight now though.

I don't suppose there is anything I can do? I can't re-enter career because I finished it and there is no continue or load option for him anymore. Not a massive problem, but I liked being able to use him in both weight classes.

do you have to do anything in particular to fight in the PRIDE GP. Havent played for about a week, but am in line for a shot at the Middleweight Title with Bisping.

Or do you only get offered to take part in the GP if you are doing career as a custom fighter?

Well, "Bad News" Barry Shitpeas got invited to a PRIDE fight, then I think he got invited to the GP. Not going to lie, I was like a dog with two dicks when I saw my created fighter who looks like a 70's porn star in PRIDE.

Hadn't had a title shot in UFC at this point but I had lost a number one contenders match.

What difficulty you got it on?

The easiest, of course. What do you take me for?

So while I haven't been able to buy the game yet, I did rent it out and spent two nights playing like a rabid dog. Finished Career Mode as a welterweight, the game suggested I play as "experienced", but I really should have done advanced as I steamrolled most opponents in the first two minutes of the fight. My final career record was 43-5 I think, but 2 losses were like freak accidents, knocked down Condit in the first minute and then got caught in a triangle, and then got flash KO'ed by Koscheck in the following fight.

Won the Pride GP twice, won the welterweight title- especially proud of my title win because it was an overcoming of my earlier ground game weakness- I lost twice to GSP for the title, where I dominated both for about 4 rounds before getting subbed, and also against Jake Shields (who I obliterated earlier in a no 1 contender's fight- I swear the setting goes up for title fights, it really catches you off guard). In the Jake Shields rubber match, I held off the takedown attempts early with strikes. When he eventually went for the big double, I got close to the cage preventing the takedown, then perfectly transitioned to a high angle gullotine against the cage, and subbed him at 3:00 of the first round. Nothing like showing marked improvement in your MMA game and using it against a jujitsu master. Now that I've gotten well rounded, I'll take on harder settings in Career when I buy the game.

I really like the opportunities you get to change weight classes, but is it possible to go for a title run in that division? I dropped to lightweight and destroyed Miller, Guillard and Guida, then I took the Pride GP at MW, then went back to lightweight to kill off Pettis and BJ Penn. After winning the Penn fight, I stopped getting offered LW fights and had to return to WW. Was it just the PRIDE experience that stopped me from becoming LW champion?

Well I finally got my guy to a UFC event, faced Chris Lyttle and got knocked out with a knee to the face as I went for a takedown after 20 seconds. Gutter!

I can't seem to escape ground submissions at all, my thumb aches after trying once or twice.

Shane O'Mac - I managed to win titles in two divisions and enter the Pride GP in my second play through. If you win enough fights you'll get offered the title shot in the new weight class. I guess it just comes down to how much time left before your retirement fight.

Smeg - The step up from the WFA to the UFC is brutal regardless how many fights you take in the WFA. I lost both of my initial UFC fights.

OK cheers, got about 3 to go then.

The wife's out on Friday night so from about 9pm onwards I'll be well up for some online bouts if anyone fancies getting their online ratings up against me?
