Much obliged.

cheers mate, appreciate it

Just spoke to him. He said there are sirens going off and going in the direction of Lodge Lane and that it is/was closed off. Take it for what it's worth but there have been a few updates on the EDL Liverpool Facebook page, whereas other updates on Twitter are conflicting. Some saying it's all going off, others saying that it's a couple of cars getting smashed up but the Police have already responded and sorted it out. No idea really what's going on but I'm hoping that if something has happened, it's the latter of those versions.

EDIT: http://yfrog.com/kfyqazaj

Supposedly a picture from there, but it could be from anywhere in Liverpool at any time.

In the context of the discussion between Van Dammer and myself, it's between the police and the public in general. And I'm sure you know this.

I suspected it was, but it seems way off-base in the current scenario, for the reasons Magnum posted in response to me asking.

Apparently, it's all kicking off on Lodge Lane in Liverpool now. That's not far from Toxteth for anyone not familiar. Shit.

jim boardman whos a journo in liverpool just tweeted this:

Seeing as Teedy Kay is po-lis, I think he's got more of an idea of whether they've taken hold yet or not than you.

He's po-lis? Based on how he does in the mafia games, it's a wonder they ever catch anyone...

Its been reported that european shop keepers have been fighting back. Im pretty sure that there is a canny few shops in London.

That's the thing. People up here are furious watching it, and we're currently at a distance from all of this. I can only imagine the anger of the people down south when they've had a few days watching these little cunts having the time of their lives as their homes and businesses burn around them. More and more people will take their cues from these turkish communities.

Good thing I wasn't justifying it, then.

no but you started by saying no-one is looking to take lives then when people were pointing out all the arson going on you said I don't know if one could claim there's murderous intent

I cant think of many more dangerous acts they could carry out in terms of putting lives in danger

I agree the discussion got a bit deeper than was useful, but I'm sure we can keep several trains of thought going on the same topic? I was simply saying that it's a shame that the public and the police are so disconnected from each other, because it's contributed to the problems the police are facing right now in dealing with the problem.
