seanz25
Just seen this on PWTorch.com & Thought It Was Worthy Of A Thread! Â "Sin Cara made his debut on WWE Raw last night by doing a run-in against Sheamus, who was beating down Daniel Bryan after a victory against him. WWE wanted the Mexican mega-star to make a big first impression, so they provided a secret trick to help him look even more amazing. Â When he ran to the ring to confront Sheamus, there was a mini trampoline right in front of the ring that a WWE worker pushed out from under the ring just as he ran to the ring. There was a brief glimpse of it during a wide shot of Cara charging to the ring. Â PWTorch has learned that there was concern backstage among several people that the little "boost" could go wrong if the trampoline was slid into a slightly imperfect position. Those fears were almost founded as the trampoline wasn't in the right position. It was so close to the ring that Cara clearly was trying to get the pace of his approach just right to launch off of the trampoline, and when he did launch off of it, he got high but was so close to the ropes that he nearly didn't clear the top rope. Â Cara also was originally scheduled to leap off the top rope onto Sheamus on the floor doing a tornado twist in mid-air, but he called an audible and just did a high crossbody which looked good, but wasn't as flashy as was planned." Im not bothered about the audible either, the cross body was a thing of beauty.
Fat Boy Mendoza
Talking of things under the ring that add a little extra.....does Big Show still have his magic step under the ring that he used to have ? Not watched much WWE recently so wasn't sure if it still existed.

Im not bothered about the audible either, the cross body was a thing of beauty. They're surely not going to give him that as a standard entrance? That would be madness imo, he'd be risking injury and being made to look like a twat before a bell had even been rung. It was nice and flashy for a debut, but they're really tempting fate if they expect him to get something as intricate as that right every time.  Loved the simple cross body too. I watch a lot of lucha and that was about as pretty as it gets. I'd rather he done what he done than give away his most spectacular plancha on his debut. Not watched much WWE recently so wasn't sure if it still existed. What magic step? I'm not sure it's a magic step. I think there are cross pieces from corner to corner underneath the rng that help strenthen it. big Show visibly steps into the middle of these pieces to help boost him into the ring, he doesn't use the steps. Â The trampoline was hardly secret, it was obvious.
PepperPlunge
I rewound (is that a word?) it plenty of times to watch that thinking 'that's mad' but didn't even think of it being a trampoline. What a mark.
Lawz
Â Theres the shot on the trampoline. I spotted it as soon as the camera turned to the ring, was far too close to the ring for him to be able to do it properly, lucky he managed to rescue it imo. And the cross body was perhaps the best call in that moment, you want flash, but he had the crown the moment he jumped onto the top rope with ease and the height he got. seanz25
He cocked up the entrance I thought he didn't get over the ropes properly & his body ended up hitting the top rope.

There are relative levels of cocking up. This wasn't Shockmaster level or even Owen Hart slipping on his arse at the Royal Rumble or Vince falling arse over tit and telling people off from his knees level. It was a minor cock-up and a pretty good save, I thought.
