Fucking hell, can't believe I forgot The Untouchables. Mind you, Connery blows him away in that, for me.
He certainly does. Plus I felt Billy Drago was the biggest heel of the movie, all the saddest scenes in the film were caused by him personally.

Still to this day when I pick up my friend from his house, I wind down the window and shout "Hey...nice house....I said 'nice house'" as soon as he comes out the front door, though I'm a million miles away from the menace of Drago.

I love Morricone's theme:

I'll have to go with The Godfather Pt 2. It's not even as simple as mimicking Brando's mannerisms, he manages to capture the essence of that character without putting cotton wool in his mouth and rolling his shoulders a lot. To take such an iconic character, as portrayed by one of the great screen actors, and basically out-do him, is some incredible feat.

For me, De Niro's career for the last 15 or 20 years has seemed almost like one massive joke at our expense, an attempt to eradicate his reputation as it were. Barring maybe Heat and Jackie Brown, it's all eye-rolling and finger-pointing. Which is still better than a lot of other actors, but it's no Travis Bickle.

For me it has to be Awakenings. I love that film and I think De Niro was tremendous in it. It is such a different portrayal to a lot of his other films (Goodfellas, Casino, Heat). I don't own this film but I watch it every time it is on TV and it always brings a tear to my eye. Mork is also good in this film as well despite having the hairiest arms this side of Richard Keys !

:omg:

If you will insist on continuing this great anti-quote button gimmick of yours, can you not at least say who you're quoting so we can see who or what you're referring to?

It's not a gimmick, just that I tend to open fast reply and then c&p. Not sure why everyone cries off about it so much but I'll try and remember.

It's faster to hit 'reply' under each post and then that post is automatically quoted. Quicker than copying and pasting, no?

I don't know if the lack of Raging Bull love is a sign of the age group of the forum members, or that everyone is completely retarded.

I think it's more a case of having too many great films to choose from, I was about to lament the lack of love for Casino and Sleepers myself. I can't choose between the two as my favourite.

I think it is an age thing with me in so much that my mind is going and keep forgetting things like this :(
