Paid Members BigJag Posted January 9, 2011 Paid Members Posted January 9, 2011 Saw an advert on ITV 4 for one of those celebrity tries different dangerous sports/activities type shows. Andrew Flintoff the cricketer is the celebrity. Looks like he will be trying out pro wrestling in one of the shows. Plus buggy racing which looks very good. Anyone know anything about the wrestling. Who is he training with? Â The show will be called Freddie Vs the World, where he faces a range of extreme sporting challenges.

Allstar69 Posted January 10, 2011 Posted January 10, 2011 his knee is fucked to play cricket but its up to him learning to be a wrestler bit strange
Starvin Marvin Posted January 10, 2011 Posted January 10, 2011 His knee isn't in shape to play Cricket at international level over a long period of time. Â In a controlled environment where he's doing training then a 10 minute match, I think he'd be ok.
Richie Freebird Posted January 10, 2011 Posted January 10, 2011 I saw the advert and thought it looked a pretty smart show. I think he
Snitsky's back acne Posted January 10, 2011 Posted January 10, 2011 Sounds good. Poor guy, learning to bump in CMLL's ring if true though.
Kenny McBride Posted January 10, 2011 Posted January 10, 2011 Wrestling would be the ideal career for him post-cricket, if it were thirty years ago. For a start, no-one would even blink at the boozing. A bum knee is more or less a prerequisite for a main event wrestler. And he's got charisma and name value but probably not a whole lot of other skills. Â I can't think the Mexicans will think much of him. They probably don't even know what cricket is...
meanmark Posted January 10, 2011 Posted January 10, 2011 I heard he tried training in Florida but pulled the plug on it after 3 days because he was getting hurt.

Checkmate Posted January 10, 2011 Posted January 10, 2011 Sounds good. Poor guy, learning to bump in CMLL's ring if true though. Â Dont they use boxing rings there which are meant to be alot harder then wrestling rings?

Moderators Chest Rockwell Posted January 10, 2011 Moderators Posted January 10, 2011 I can't think the Mexicans will think much of him. They probably don't even know what cricket is... Â You gotta know what a crumpet is to play cricket....
