Paid Members Bus Surfer Posted November 6, 2011 Paid Members Share Posted November 6, 2011 Not confirmed yet, but Condit/Koscheck is quite likely for UFC 143 MMA Junkie  That's a bad fight for Condit. A loss could derail his title shot, and a win for Kos puts him straight back into the picture despite GSP/Kos III being the last thing anyone wants.  A bit more on Undisputed 3 from MiddleEasy. Focuses more on Pride mode. A few of the fighters talk about the game. http://middleeasy.com/inde...

John Galt
Why did Roger Huerta leave the UFC? He was doing alright, from what I remember, and would be better served there than trouncing a genuine piece of shit like War Machine in front of a small audience. Paid Members wandshogun09 Posted November 6, 2011 Paid Members Share Posted November 6, 2011 I think at the time he wasn't certain what he wanted. He'd just done the Tekken movie and was torn between fighting and acting. He took the Gray Maynard fight because he had to fulfill his contract but he wanted out before that. I can't remember if they just never renewed his contract or if he decided he wanted out or what but he signed for Bellator fairly soon after. Â He's a talented fighter, it's a shame all that other shit got in the way. He was making some ridiculous demands at one point though. After beating Clay Guida he seemed to think he was some megastar and was asking for BJ Penn money or something. Then Florian schooled him and that's when his heart seemed to stop being in it and he suddenly went Hollywood. Â I like Huerta though. I just think success came too quick for him and he couldn't handle it. He seems more mature now. I'd like to see him back in the UFC at some point. As we were going in to find our seats I saw him in the arena in the bar area.

He appeared on the front of Sports Illustrated and was being groomed as the UFC's Mexican poster boy, then started making demands moneywise (increased contract and also wanting a cut of PPV percentage written in to his contract). Kenny Florian was Dana's hired gun just to go out beat him, shut him up and put an end to all of Huerta's demands.
Paid Members wandshogun09 Posted November 6, 2011 Paid Members Share Posted November 6, 2011 Yeah that's right. Then he had one fight left on his contract so they gave him Gray who was a terrible style match for him. Forgot the SI coverboy thing aswell. He was getting hyped up big time at that time. Paid Members John Matrix Posted November 8, 2011 Paid Members Share Posted November 8, 2011 Courtesy of MMAmania.com  Former Strikeforce heavyweight champion and K-1 kickboxing kingpin Alistair Overeem, who signed a "long term" deal with Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) back in September, has more than just a new promotion to call home. He's also aligned himself with a new training camp.  Overeem, who will make his Octagon debut at UFC 141 on Dec. 30 in Las Vegas, against former division champion Brock Lesnar, announced on today's MMA Hour that he is now a member of "Sin City's" Xtreme Couture camp.  Apparently the Glory wasn't Golden enough for him.  Or it could be the breach of trust he alluded to in a public statement following his split with the Golden Glory fight camp, a place he's called home his entire career.  No longer.  Now, "Demolition Man" will be rubbing elbows with Randy Couture, Forrest Griffin, Gray Maynard and more. Anyone think this will help his wrestling defense?
Paid Members wandshogun09 Posted November 8, 2011 Paid Members Share Posted November 8, 2011 I think that's a good move. Golden Glory is a great camp but for fighting a wrestler like Brock it's probably best he changes things up. Xtreme Couture is a good place to sharpen his grappling plus he has the insight of Randy's knowledge and experience fighting Brock.

Paid Members Dead Mike Posted November 8, 2011 Paid Members Share Posted November 8, 2011 I'd like to see The Machine go at it one last time. I remember when he gave Frank Mir a mauling after his dad dies. Some mates had a box for that fight but I couldn't afford to go
