Daaaaaad!
But you owe the taxman millions upon millions, the road to recovery will be through administration probably, the case starts in October. This is lol. Â tims just announced they are 5.8 million in debt gers are 23/24 million.... 20 of which is a bank loan being re-paid at 1 million a year which we can now afford as have knocked off a good 7 or 8 million... so really.. gers in much more sound financial position that tic, considering your season tickets are down again for the 3rd season in a row and again there is no champions league football, the tics turn over will be even worse next season, while rangers will only improve This is also lol. As much as I am a Rangers fan, you can't deny that Celtic are in a far better position than we are. If we miss Champions League football one year, we pay for it for the next two. That said, the idea that Rangers will be forcibly put into administration by HMRC is laughable.

Portsmouth beat a similar case from the HMRC last month for much much more money than the case against Rangers. Of course the signings are to please the fans, but if we were in any bother of going into administration or losing this case you fap on about we would not be signing anybody. And would probably have sold the likes of Davis, McGregor and Boughie.  Just another case of timmy clutching at straws. But once this is put to bed in October they'll no doubt be something else they find to cling onto the hope of us going into administration. They won a case against how it was to be repaid. It basically had HMRC at the back of the queue but they wanted their (our) money back first.  HMRC lost the case so they cannot demand the money until everyone else gets back what they are owed. Portsmouth still owe the money.  Arsenal had a similar case to the Rangers one and had to settle out of court for a significant sum (

Traditionally in these cases HMRC are usually the last of the creditors to get what they are due which, invariably, means they get hee haw or very little by the time everyone else has agreed to pay back. They wanted to be the first creditor due their money i think (?) and the court knocked it on the head.

Portsmouth beat a similar case from the HMRC last month for much much more money than the case against Rangers.  Similar, not the same Ally.  The Portsmouth case was to determine whether HMRC could challenge the CVA agreement which would see Portsmouth emerge from administration. The case had nothing to do with determining the legality of Portsmouth's tax strategy. So it has nothing at all to do with the legitimacy of the Rangers' case.  Clutching at straws? fucking big massive straws the size of Ibrox that aren't going to blow away. I'd say you've struggled to keep hold of Bougherra, Davis and McGregor, if Donald Muir had his way they'd be gone and it's only the perseverance of Walter Smith and Celtic fucking up the Champions League again that's given you some financial breathing. InvertedSmiley
The HMRC cases against Portsmouth and Rangers are entirely different. Â Their case against Portsmouth was in reference to a company with a CVA paying other debts in preference over HMRC. The case against Rangers is one of tax avoidance/evasion. The EBTs and image rights issue was not being tested in the Portsmouth case. Â The HMRC case against Arsenal is much more relevant when it comes to discussing Rangers than the Portsmouth case was. Â I must admit that I get some kind of perverse pleasure in seeing that all is right in the south side of Glasgow now that
Chaka Demus
Jelavic could be joining today. Happy days. Rapid have called a Press conference at 12:15. Nothing to do with the Europa League match before any smart arse tim buts in.

InvertedSmiley
He'll be a good signing. Doubt he'll replace Kris Boyd's goals though. Last season was the only season in his career where he has hit double figures. (EDIT: Albeit 28 in 48 is impressive) Â I think a lot of people are forming their opinion of Jelavic around the fact that he scored three goals against Celtic in the Europa League last season, while, lets face it, a UKFF select eleven could have scored against Tony Mowbray's Celtic. Â No doubt that he is a good player. A better footballer than Kris Boyd. But a better goalscorer? Time will tell, I guess. Â Second EDIT: Official Celtic site is reporting that Andreas Hinkel has suffered a serious knee injury in training and is out for the season. Ruptured cruciate ligament. Â EDIT 3: Morten Rasmussen has joined German club Mainz on loan.
Paid Members Deaq Posted August 19, 2010 Paid Members Share Posted August 19, 2010 Ally after watching Naysmith play in the centre this weekend, do you not think Ranges could do with a new centre mid? If Davis gets injured then the middle of the park would be Edu and Mcculloch at the moment.
