WyattSheepMask
I'll have a think on it too, but if I'm honest, it will likely be Ghost - Meliora
Paid Members Egg Shen Posted December 30, 2015 Author Paid Members Share Posted December 30, 2015 yeh that's gotta be up there for me. I've been doing my usual thing of checking out all the Albums of the Year lists in the magazines and online (mainly to pick out stuff might have missed) but it was great to see Terrorizer give Napalm Death's 'Apex Predator - Easy Meat' record the Album of the Year spot, fucking brilliant. WyattSheepMask
Iron Maiden (rather predictably) won Metal Hammer's Album of the Year 2015. The top 20 went as follows: Iron Maiden – The Book Of Souls Ghost – Meliora Lamb Of God – VII: Sturm Und Drang Parkway Drive – Ire Clutch – Psychic Warfare Faith No More – Sol Invictus Slayer – Repentless Nightwish – Endless Forms Most Beautiful Marilyn Manson – The Pale Emperor While She Sleeps – Brainwashed Paradise Lost – The Plague Within Cattle Decapitation – The Anthropocene Extinction Bring Me The Horizon – That's The Spirit Baroness – Purple Napalm Death – Apex Predator - Easy Meat Tremonti – Cauterize Frank Carter & The Rattlesnakes – Blossom Motörhead – Bad Magic Fear Factory – Genexus Deafheaven – New Bermuda
Paid Members Egg Shen Posted January 4, 2016 Author Paid Members Share Posted January 4, 2016 predictable kind of list, some cracking albums in there though.
WyattSheepMask
Don't get me wrong, there is some great stuff on there but they absolutely rim Iron Maiden. Book of Souls wasn't even the best album released that month, never mind the year. Â What are we looking forward to this yeast then? Will Metallica stop pissing about with money losing projects and release a new album? Will Tool suprise everyone and actually release the follow up to 10,000 Days? First album that I'm really looking forward to is the (tricky) second album from Obsidian Kingdom, titled 'A Year With No Summer' and is released in March through Seasons of Mist. Their debut, 'Mantiis', from 2012 is an absolute blinder from start to finish Edited January 4, 2016 by WyattSheepMask
lightningxlock
The majority of those records I've literally not seen on any other Year End lists, either. So speaks volumes about Metal Hammers opinion

Paid Members martyngnr Posted January 5, 2016 Paid Members Share Posted January 5, 2016 First Guns N'Roses reunion show has been announced for Coachella this year. Still dont know what to make of it.  Apparently the band is: Axl, Slash, Duff, Richard Fortus, Dave Kushner, Dizzy, Chris Pitman, Frank Ferrer    Izzy Stradlin will probably guest for a few tracks along the way.  No point even risking taking Steven Adler on the road – not with all the money they stand to earn.

gbacon85
So fucking hell Set Your Goals announced for Slam Dunk (among others). I'm torn, genuinely one of my favourite bands ever, and not sure if they'll do more dates. Â Any been before?
Paid Members Egg Shen Posted January 20, 2016 Author Paid Members Share Posted January 20, 2016 Any word on who Trivium are taking out with them? Don't mind Trivium but they have a habit of taking quality bands with them.
WyattSheepMask
Haven't seen anything as yet. Could just end up being local acts. Im super tempted for the York show as it's only just down the road for me and stickers are only £
