Paid Members bAzTNM#1 Posted January 18, 2011 Paid Members Share Posted January 18, 2011 Was there a plan in place if the british weather did what did best and it pissed it down at summerslam 92? Probably have something at the top covering the ring and let the crowd whip out their umbrellas. I'd imagine it would end up like that Hogan - John Studd match from Puerto Rico. God, that would have been a disaster. Â Hulk Hogan vs "Big" John Studd in Puerto Rico in the Pissing Rain
Paid Members IANdrewDiceClay Posted January 18, 2011 Paid Members Share Posted January 18, 2011 As long as Crush vs Repo Man got done, I'm sure everyone would have went home happy.
Paid Members air_raid Posted January 18, 2011 Paid Members Share Posted January 18, 2011 As long as Crush vs Repo Man got done, I'm sure everyone would have went home happy. Â Well, apart from Repo himself. Â Incidentally my tape of Summerslam "taped off Sky" seems to have a ten minute ad break where that match should be. Seriously, Repo is in the ring, Vince says something to the effect of "we'll be right back!" then when it comes back seemingly forever later, they are hyping the next match. Paid Members IANdrewDiceClay Posted January 18, 2011 Paid Members Share Posted January 18, 2011 I have a copy of WrestleMania IX taped from Sky and the opening bout is Hulk Hogan and Brutus Beefcake vs Money Inc. I dont know what Sky were playing at during that era, but some of the repeats had half the matches cut out.

simon needle
Sky showed the live version and then the next day at about 4pm they replayed it and cut bits out and swapped bits around... I think it was to catch the kids watching from Cbbc and Citv which it did with me as I sat in my neighbours house watching

Every website I've tried only has the paperback copies. Sorry I can't help but maybe someone else can?
Bring Back Minipops
Im going to Coventry for the weekend next weekend and I was wondering if theres any specialist wrestling store in the city and if so where? Â Thanks I don't know if it's still there, but there used to be one run by a member/wrestler from here (Majik?). It was on the top floor of a Dungeons and Dragons shop (Bishop Games, Google says) in City Arcade. Â That shop has closed down now. I don't know of any wrestling shops in Coventry anymore. Â Thanks guys.
Dr House's Right Leg
Has anyone here trained at Dropkixx before? I did about 3 years ago or so for a few weeks before I got injured.
Dr House's Right Leg
Has TNA had any talks with Batista since he left WWE? Â Not as far as I've heard. I do believe he's concentrating on acting and possibly a MMA fight (roffle) Â Besides, Dave, as far as I can figure wouldn't go to TNA because WWE could, and probably will one day, pay him much more money. Reznor
Anyone fancy giving us some Shawn Michaels recommendations from free TV in his 2nd run? Â Only really looking for matches, not so much interested in promos, skits, angles etc. I've saw most PPV's but i'd be lying if i said i was an avid weekly follower of the WWE in the past 7/8 years. I'm familiar with most of the well hyped ones like v HHH (last RAW of 2003), Shelton Benjamin, Angle (Iron man), 2nd match v Cena, and the Edge streetfight, but there must still be loads of great stuff that's almost forgotten or tends to be overlooked. Â I accidentally stumbled across a bit of a gem from RAW v Jericho from 2003 too, which can't have been too long after their WM match. I've never heard any mention of it in any pimping lists, but it was pretty good stuff. Edited January 20, 2011 by Reznor
