Paid Members Tommy! Posted December 6, 2009 Paid Members Share Posted December 6, 2009 Whatever became of Buff Bagwell? Â Â Think he still wrestles on the indy shows. Â Didn't he do some softcore porn as well at some point?
SteelEdge
Is there any wrestling on freeview? Â Virgin 1 has been showing TNA Impact on Friday nights for the last couple of months, one day before Bravo show it. But I think it's only a short-term contract and is ending in the next couple of weeks. Maybe sooner.

dopper
Is there a proper reason Power Slam magazine always calls Dixie Carter by her full name "Dixie Carter-Salinas"? Â I ask because everybody else in the wrestling media calls her Dixie Carter. Some issues mention her full-name multiple times and it always seems odd. daztraction
The only reason that I can think of is in case there's any confusion with the other Dixie Carter. But that's stretching it.
TheLostScot
If I watch TNA on Saturday night, will it be the one that is aired tonight on Spike in America or the week before? And on Bravo during the week, do they show impacts from a few months back?

And on Bravo during the week, do they show impacts from a few months back? The saturdays impact is the latest one, on friday the show last weeks (they also show the previous weeks on a saturday on bravo 2 before the new one on bravo). Bravo is currently showing old impacts from various months, including bravo 2 showing old PPVs during the afternoon!
This thread scares me
As well as the payments to Heyman which ran for the last few years (nominally for talent scouting), WWE also loaned them just over half a million in 2000. Â Â sorry to bump this..was the loan ever repaid?
MRMIdAS
Do excuse me while I laugh at the sheer absurdity of that question.

steven1977uk2002
Ok any long time wrestling fans since the 1990s will probably remember the Brother Love show. Â Now their was one segment where Hulk Hogan and Earthquake appeared and ended with Hogan going on a stretcher. Weeks led up to a retirement announcement before a month before Summerslam Hogan announced hes getting back in the ring for revenge. Â Now the match happens and the fans get a lousy countout victory! Â The question is why a countout in a match set at a big PPV in summerslam? Wouldnt it have been better to get your revenge by a pinfall?

Wouldnt it have been better to get your revenge by a pinfall? To pin Earthquake would kill his aura and there would be no money in a rematch or forwarding the programme. Hogan didn't need to get the pin to get the pop - him returning and standing up to his aggressor was enough for then.
Moderators PowerButchi Posted December 13, 2009 Moderators Share Posted December 13, 2009 And it meant they could keep on taking it around the House Show circuit as well.
steven1977uk2002
Ok any long time wrestling fans since the 1990s will probably remember the Brother Love show. Now their was one segment where Hulk Hogan and Earthquake appeared and ended with Hogan going on a stretcher. Weeks led up to a retirement announcement before a month before Summerslam Hogan announced hes getting back in the ring for revenge.  Now the match happens and the fans get a lousy countout victory!  The question is why a countout in a match set at a big PPV in summerslam? Wouldnt it have been better to get your revenge by a pinfall? To pin Earthquake would kill his aura and there would be no money in a rematch or forwarding the programme. Hogan didn't need to get the pin to get the pop - him returning and standing up to his aggressor was enough for then.  Was their any reason as to why they didnt have a rematch? I know they were in Survivor Series and Royal Rumble but it wasent really the same as one on one. Has their been any other instances where someone gets put on the shelf comes back and doesnt get their satisying revenge?  I remember Batista did against Orton as well as HHH getting revenge for Stephanie but any others apart from the Austin/HHH Survivor Series No Contest match.  Another question Id like to know an answer about is Shawn Michaels.  Now as the majority of us have heard about the backstage stories of 1996 about Shawn being arrogant, cocky prick backstage not caring what anyone thought and giving Vince a headache on more than one occasion. From walking off the Wrestlemania workout in 1998 to not playing ball for Wrestlemania between HBK/Bret at Mania 13 to the Curtain Call incident. Why doesnt Shawn give us the old Shawn Michaels from 1996 in todays wrestling? The guy who would demand that Vince put the belt on him. Any ideas?
