âAt least Triple H canât sign Adam Cole up, so we wonât be subjected to his old NXT lot being forced up the card without justificationâ
âOh.â

I can't be sure so thought I'd ask: you know this is a different John Hughes, yeah?Â
I do now, yeah. About ten minutes after I posted this in fact. I guess itâs appropriate that the thread starts with a Scottish football fan making a wildly inaccurate statement having failed to read something properly - sets the tone for the season ahead!

Well @SpiritOfTheForest prediction of Motherwell hiring John Hughes wonât be coming trueâŚ
(edit: itâs not the same one of course, as anyone who spent five minutes reading properly or paying proper attention wouldâve realised)
Not sure what the short illness was at this point, but still terribly sad news. RIP. -

The music alone deserves some award or other.Â
Yeah, absolutely. I love how they blend notable classical music in with the modern compositions too. âSleepytimeâ in particular has to be up there for the sheer quality of the animation and storytelling over such a short period of time.
Personal favourite episode has to be âTakeawayâ though. The music grows more frantic as events in the episode unfold, and that feeling of just wanting to get through these five minutes so you can get the kids home for dinner and have your spring rolls in peace and quiet⌠safe to say every dad mustâve been through it at least once! Yet as usual, Bandit rolls with the punches, embraces it and pulls through for his children.
Iâve seen criticism levelled that heâs an unrealistic ideal of what a father should be, but I donât agree - instead I think heâs just a normal dad character who makes the right decisions in a way I wish I would more often. Itâs caused me to really examine how I act with my two kids and I can honestly say Iâm better for it.
Oh, and Bing becomes more terrifying when you consider that he could squash Flop like a grape if he wanted to. And he definitely would.Â

Some quite deliberate wordplay there I feel.
Ultimately this is the perfect opportunity for WWE to score some easy PR goals. Make it seem like Vince was the problem and itâs all going to be the land of milk and honey from now on. Just look at how people reacted to SummerSlam. Some fans are so desperate for there to be actual change that theyâre already clinging on to the most minimal of alterations.Â

The DX blackface thing is especially intriguing having watched the Table for 3 with Faarooq, Mark Henry and Godfather. Â At one point they suddenly go out of their way to say how it wasnât offensive and that they thought it was really funny, all in a nicely wrapped up WWE-produced interview.

All this time Iâve thought I was CBBC all the way, but this has been an eye opener. All the good shit was on CITV wasnât it? Although I did watch Blue Peter, thereâs just no way that Grange Hill and The Demon Headmaster could compete with Fun House or Finders Keepers. Plus CITV had Thomas the Tank Engine, so they had the advantage from an early age.

Say what you like (plenty do, and rightfully so) but it seems like the name 1PW does seem to still hold some specific value, at least at the Doncaster Dome. Plus the tickets are only being sold through The Domeâs own box office, so a quick glance at the ticket availability map seems to corroborate the numbers announced.
Iâll admit that I was a fully paid-up card carrying member of the 1PW following in 2006 or so, but even I didnât expect interest to this level.

So youâre saying that WWE would fit perfectly with their key demographic?
No, Iâm saying they already have that demographic cornered and wouldnât need to waste money on a sleazy business that is generally considered beneath most forms of entertainment to sew up an audience they already have captive.

What do you mean "any of the audience" exactly?
They have Star Wars and Marvel. Iâm fairly confident that already provides 99% of any potential audience that owning WWE would bring.

sell the whole thing to Disney.
Cannot imagine they would possibly be interested. Why would they? They donât need any of the audience wrestling brings.

Big time Ben Swain energy from Zahawi there.
-
I'd say there is zero risk of that because it's already the case.

Is it just a regular simp reaction thatâs causing it, or have I missed something that Liv Morgan has done thatâs made her all of a sudden very worthwhile and wholeheartedly deserving of a title reign? Iâm not saying I dislike her, in fact I really ânothingâ her as Iâm sure most people did for the majority of her WWE run. But there seems to be this groundswell of âyou deserve itâ type reactions on Twitter and Iâm just curious to get a response from a place where people are (mostly) reasoned and measured.Â

It served to show that âHell in a Cell is so dangerous even the referees arenât safe!!!â but I donât think he did another match after that.
Weirdly enough, I was convinced this was the case as well, so was shocked to see him turn up at WrestleMania XX! I think he only did a single match on the card (a quick Google after typing this shows it's Christian vs. Chris Jericho) and the Cell match is generally considered to be his 'proper' retirement.

The story behind this match is baffling to me. No idea what's going on at all.
Typical WWE innit? Tag partners who might not get along. Honestly, it's been the same thing for nearly thirty years now and I wish they'd do something original like that other lot down in Jacksonvi- wait

I don't think even one of us will be surprised reading this news, but still, fucking hell.
Starts to clarify why so many of his family are suddenly taking leaves of absence from WWE.

I didnât watch Dynamite live, so my entire reaction to having a clip of the main event show up on my Twitter was âFucking Kyle OâReilly?â
Ugh. I know NXT didnât create him or his UE colleagues, but putting them front and centre really makes AEW feel like a bad NXT clone.
