I assume someone posted about this earlier in the thread, but this… this is not a good trailer.

So for some reason I dreamt that I was on the train with the Young Bucks. Even though they had first class reserved seats, they kept coming to our table (which was in the next carriage along) and sitting at it. Eventually I got fed up and told them if they weren’t going to use their seats, I would.

From a completely selfish standpoint, I hope he doesn't retire before we get the chance to see him wrestle at Wembley in 2024. I'm acutely aware his daughter's seventh birthday is before that. 

My parents are travelling to Japan soon and have asked if anything I want bringing back. I don't expect they'll be heading to a show any time during their stay, but is there anything cool or exclusive I should think about asking for?

I have a base level knowledge of NJPW (went to Royal Quest but I don't keep up show by show) so I'm not necessarily massively attached to any specific stable or wrestler. A little research suggests there's a merch shop near the Tokyo Dome/Korauken Hall, so I'd guess that's where to start.

To give some credit, it's probably been quite a conscious decision to do this before tonight's Chicago show. Immediately removes the possibility that some will have been holding on to that he could be making an appearance, save for those who insist everything's a work despite all contrary evidence.

For reals though, this is absolutely the right call for all parties. However you want to slice it, it just ain't working any more. The guy seems incapable of staying happy in wrestling. I truly hope he finds a way.

Punk is just this weird contradiction of a bloke, isn't he? He seems to mostly hate the older generation of wrestlers who behaved like this when he was a young up-and-comer, but he's seemingly throwing his weight around now that the shoe's on the other foot. He shows up on TV wearing a SAG-AFTRA shirt, mere weeks after boasting of his relationship with David Zaslav. 

Ultimately, though, all this backstage drama is just really, really dull. It isn't benefitting anyone and it feels like just knowing about any of it by osmosis can actively ruin one's enjoyment of AEW programming.

Has Vince pulled a George Lucas and edited his appearance at WrestleMania out yet?

I've always quite liked Edge but I don't think I ever 'got' him in the same way as a lot of people seem to. In fact, I always underestimate his popularity amongst the general fanbase. So while it might be personal bias as I was in attendance at Clash at the Castle, this entrance still gives me goosebumps. Just knowing that he had his whole career taken away, then got a second chance and was rewarded with 50000+ fans singing along to his famous theme (with perfect cadence I might add) is really life affirming.

This and 'Broken Dreams' from the same event get a frequent replay on my YouTube app.

Austin Theory's inclusion is perturbing me. If he's in there while holding the US Title, it doesn't make sense for Gunther not to be included, yet he isn't even though he hasn't lost in over a year to my knowledge. However Sheamus, who he's beaten a bunch of times, is involved? It's an extra illogical element that didn't need to be there. Seems whatever rumoured issue is going on with Drew McIntyre must still be going on, judging by his exclusion.

Intrigued to see how twelve men go into one tournament also.

I might be completely misreading that article, but aren’t they actually bringing their policy in line with the EU? As in the ECHA were suggesting this should be happening and the Gov’t are using that as an excuse to bring back this pathetic, horrific practice?

The “well if you won’t do it, we WILL do it then!” seems more in line with their behaviour, so I’d expect that to be the case, but that’s not how I read what was posted.

Appropriately enough, Bad Bunny was wearing a WWF jacket on SmackDown that they were censoring in all the post-match clips. I thought that they had reached an agreement with the wildlife fund to use their old logo? There have been several instances lately of the old logo, both bar and scratch, being censored again and I wasn’t sure why.
