  1. Can I jump in and say that I hated the booking and situation surrounding Orange Cassidy vs. Jon Moxley 2 as much as I enjoyed the match itself? Perhaps it's because I needed to watch wrestling more closely, but when I saw it, OC got the jobber entrance (i.e. none) and they then cut away from his victory to show a package about Mark Briscoe?

I love Orange, but I'd have liked to see Moxley beat him again here. Make it a real 'white whale' situation for OC, especially since he's actually regained the title. Think Cormier/Jones but in a world where you can fix it so Cormier finally wins in the end. Great match and I really like both guys but I felt the occasion was glossed over when it should've been a bigger deal considering the same match main evented All Out.

The bigger problem with my theory is "what would Cole have done if Max hadn't come out"

I guess theoretically he was standing in the ring with the crutches still in his hand, so he could've twatted White over the head with one then pissed off. As RR says above though, this is probably putting more thought into it than the booker did.

  3. I watched a YouTube video by a fella called Drew Gooden (not the basketball star) and he does a similar thing to this. The peak of the worst he watched was a film called Christmas Mail from 2010.

If it's acceptable to submit then that's the one I'd throw in there. I haven't been able to find it on a major streaming site yet but if I do I'll be sure to link it. Apparently in certain countries they managed to call it 'You've Got CHRISTMAS Mail' as some sort of bizarro relative to the Tom Hanks film.

Sooo... Apparently Danhausen's return allegedly was and is currently delayed because he was pulling an Earl Hebner dodgy knock-off AEW merch job at some conventions.

    “You’re Damn Right I Didhausen”?

I don’t know what this version of Ibushi is, or what they’ve done with the original, but I don’t like it at all.

Didn't he once shoot fireworks at himself on top of a Ford Focus in Bethnal Green? I think this absolutely is the original.

The twitter mob who are suddenly experts on Ice Hockey have already decided the fella is guilty but I think I'll wait for a fair trial and evidence.

It really is a mystery how so many people from all around the world have suddenly gained expertise and begun to comment on the guilt of black ice hockey player Matt Petgrave, isn't it?

    Here's a Neville Neville contender.

Me five minutes ago: "haha, wasn't there a song on FIFA that was called 'Burn Burn'? I'll look for it and link it, that's sure to be hilarious and get some sweet upvotes"

Me four minutes ago, having remembered who that song was by:

Very true but also it's only the ROH Television Championship. No one cares about it. All the ROH titles (and ROH) belong in the bin.

Hopefully they're just retiring this title altogether - after all is it just me or do ROH actually not even have television right now? So what's the point of having a TV championship? Stick with the Pure title and leave it be.

Weren't they getting NWA or did I misread that?

You did not misread. You may, however, have missed the part where James Mitchell supposedly did coke on an NWA show, which oddly enough seems to have put The CW lot off a bit.

  10. I've only glimpsed clips on YouTube as per, but was the finish to the Miz match as bad as it seemed? Like, it looks like Miz was pulling out some stops and actually wrestling a high energy babyface match, then they did a double pin finish but didn't seem to match it properly, and finally they ended with him being flattened, destroying any momentum they had behind someone who has already historically struggled to get over as a face. The whole thing looked a proper mess, to the point that it even seemed to me like the referee was saying he hadn't won!

Jack Whitehall is another obvious one as he was, essentially the UK spokesman for AEW in its early months and even getting to introduce Bret Hart at the first Double or Nothing PPV

Not to mention he got bodyslammed by Terry 'Mean Machine' Frazier on an episode of Would I Lie To You? after namedropping Shelton Benjamin:

Sincerest apologies that the clip also includes colossal thundercunt Kelvin McKenzie.

I often think Whitehall must pinch himself to be living the life he leads - even he couldn't have expected when his appearances on TV became more frequent that he would end up starring in a movie with The Rock.

(yes even despite being a Tory nepo baby)

Interesting timing too, only a week after SummerSlam

More notably, it’s six days after AEW All In at Wembley. Presumably they’re going harder for the European market.

I’m a little surprised they’ve gone for an arena rather than a stadium, but it’s always nice to have an event that can be watched at a reasonable hour.

Drew McIntyre and his hair dye are a bit lame.

Wholeheartedly agree that the hair dye is both really obvious and a bit sad, but I'm enjoying Drew's challenge for the title this time and the seemingly inevitable heel turn that's coming off of it. It's a common comment that any effective heel should feel justified in what they do, and Drew's motivations for his behaviour are all completely rooted in logic. It feels like when he does snap and turn on Rollins or whoever, he'll have a great basis for it. If anything, it's a shame it's Seth he's playing off, though I was amused to hear him called out for his persistent "character reinventions" this week on Raw.
