How's the Spyro trilogy? I only ever played a demo of the first game back in the day but remember it being pretty fun.

I loved it. Played 1 and 3 to 100% in the PSone era and the remake does it total justice. It even has the option to switch to the original music which Crash lacked. Definitely worth playing.Ā

  2. I think the fact theyā€™re drawing so much attention to the potential of Rollins turning probably makes it that little bit less likely. At least, thatā€™s what Iā€™m telling myself.Ā

Thought the segment slightly petered out to be honest, but I did like Jey being involved this time. It only makes sense after all.

Honestly, I do not remember this game being so annoying? The jumps and hit boxes are awful - Iā€™ll be amazed if I manage to complete this.

The hitboxes were changed for the N. Sane Trilogy, so if it's the original you're harkening back to I totally understand your frustration. That said, Crash 1 was always much less forgiving than its sequels in its level design. Just wait 'til you get to Stormy Ascent!

A little tip I saw around the time it was released was to think of each ledge/platform as if it's got slightly curved edges - if you land half on the edge, you'll slip off instead of staying on. Sounds weird, but it worked for me when judging jumps. Far better than using my shadow anyway.

Which is clearly the biggest fall ever, if you listen to Jericho. ā€œNot everyone gets to beat a Chris Jericho in their first match.ā€ Did you know he was the first Undisputed Champion too?

I'm convinced this had a knock-on effect to Jericho's match with AJ Styles at 'Mania 32 also. I reckon ol' Y2J wasn't up for taking the fall to the 'newcomer' after having lost his last WrestleMania match, even though this was clearly a totally different situation. The fact that AJ then went on to face Roman for the title a month later further solidifies this idea in my head.

I guess Daniel Bryan would sort of count for this, since he went from winning the WWE World Heavyweight Championship in the main event of WMXXX to opening WM31/Play Button, but since he actually won that ladder match for the Intercontinental belt I'm not sure it's the demotion it seems.

if you're a daredevil risk taker stunt manĀ  - why the fuck wouldn't you take the biggest risk/bump of your career in what will no doubt be the biggest match of your career?

Perhaps because if the biggest match of your career is someone elseā€™s retirement match, it suggests you wonā€™t much of a career left?

Personally Iā€™m not arsed either way, but I assume a 31 year old shouldnā€™t be of the mentality that the biggest match theyā€™ll ever have has already passed them by.

  6. Personal bias very much showing since I was there, but these two stick firmly in the mind - first of all itā€™s Edge being almost overwhelmed as Cardiff sing along to his theme far better than anyoneā€™s ever done for Jericho:

Later that evening Drew finally brings back Broken Dreams. This had me believing I was going to see a Scotsman win a world championship in front of my very own eyes.

Re-doing the Mania 39 Main event finish?! Like getting Vietnam flashbacks!

Doubly so when you factor in how that Solo hoodie reveal comes from his introduction at Clash at the Castle, except this time Drew was the beneficiary. The moment after it happened was so great - the way Drew hesitated for half a second, then decided to take advantage, when previously he would definitely have gone after the Bloodline.

Can't decide if they're setting him up to take the Raw belt from Rollins at 'Mania or to challenge Cody after he definitely wins the big title. I'd be happy with either.

  8. Wow. A massive comeback in the womenā€™s eliminator - the leader had a 13.5s head start but failed on the trapeze! Some more great heel work from Legend too. Iā€™d be expecting to see him popping up on a few BritWres indies in a few yearsā€™ time.

This whole revival has been so much fun, honestly. Quarterfinals begin next week and Iā€™m a bit sad thereā€™s only six shows left. Surely must be a S2 ahead.Ā

Canā€™t trust anyone who isnā€™t a fan of DM Hunk.

I just saw this name on Twitter and came to spread the good word. Devastated to discover Iā€™m seven hours late :(Ā

  10. Aye, I think Jaz kept prioritising his own safety instead of going for it and actually trying to exorcise his suspected traitors. By the time he moved, it really was too late. Perhaps he was spooked by the confrontation with Paul earlier on.

Five episodes into Series 1 and still can't really warm to many of them at all. The ones with the half-arsed theories that have no actual basis really bother me on a level I didn't think possible from something so trivial.

  11. Having started with S2, weā€™ve now gone back to S1 of the BBC version. Weā€™re only three episodes in but so far this lot are really pretty insufferable compared to the latest series. Thereā€™s a lot of emotional responses that remind me of Deal or No Deal, where they act as if they arenā€™t all part of a game show and itā€™s something deeper. Very different, but that does at least make it interesting.

  12. Back at secondary school I was peer pressured into committing a really stupid crime that garnered me a FORMAL SCHOOL DETENTION, which I assume has remained on my permanent record ever since and is probably why Iā€™m not employed as a CEO or a Power Ranger by now.

We used to have football matches on a Thursday and, since I am uncoordinated and unathletic, I was always involved in the 2nd XI vs. 3rd XI match while the proper first team either travelled away or had visiting opponents. This match for rejects always kicked off earlier than the first team game, so subsequently would finish earlier too. So one week, we arrived back in the changing rooms to discover the other schoolā€™s stuff strewn around the place - including a cardboard box with loads of CD cases in it. Anyway, one kid shouts up ā€œoi, thereā€™s PlayStation games in here!ā€

Upon inspection, it transpires theyā€™re copied games, as was very regular with the PSone. Between us itā€™s quickly decided that we can take these - after all, itā€™s illegal to pirate games, so they canā€™t do anything about it or theyā€™ll be in bother themselves! Itā€™s the perfect crime! My fellow B and C teamers all helped themselves to a game each, as did I, fully believing that this was okay because everyone else is doing it too. I stuffed the CD case in my backpack and took it home, hiding it in my top drawer.

The next day, a rumour goes around that the police have been in and that the game thieves are in bother. I hear nothing until the afternoon, at which point a group of us are summoned to stand outside the head of yearā€™s office. Everyone is steadfast in their commitment not to talk. Weā€™re all Spartacus!

The teacher calls me in as I mull over what Iā€™ll say, convinced I have a clever response to anything. Until his first words are ā€œright @Daaaaaad!Ā - the Spyro game, where is it?ā€ Flummoxed by the fact that not only do they know I was involved but they even know exactly what I took, I burst into tears and sob that itā€™s at home in my football bag. My parents are informed and I am led from the office in disgrace. It turns out my peers had all dumped their stolen copies around the school; only I was stupid enough to take mine home.

The daft thing is, I already owned Spyro 3 and didnā€™t even have a chipped PlayStation, but my mate across the road did and I thought heā€™d want it. Worse still, I discovered years later that Spyro 3 had an anti piracy measure written into its code, which wouldā€™ve rendered the entire thing pointless even if Iā€™d somehow passed on the stolen contraband.Ā

You would expect anyone who genuinely didn't know to want a full investigation into it all. If Triple H is genuinely in the dark then he should be demanding one and fucking reading the lawsuit

I'm of the mind that he wasn't lying when he said he hasn't read the lawsuit, because that would mean having to sit down and read a sixty plus page document, which I don't reckon he does all that often. Perhaps he thought this would enable him to have plausible deniability? Or perhaps he loaded it up, hit Ctrl+F for 'Paul Levesque' then closed it down when he didn't find anything.

Of course, none of that excuses the fact that a) he definitely knows what's in it anyway, and b) he absolutely should have read the thing because of course someone in his position fucking should have.

  14. I've spent large portions of the last twelve months thinking the guy is a fragile bell end, but yeah, this is really a shame. Nobody wants to be injured and certainly not when it just looked like maybe, in a very technical way, he was finally going to get the one thing he's been so desperate for since he first signed with WWE. Can't be many matches left in him now but I hope he does recover and at least finish things on his own terms, whenever that may be.
