  1. No good deed goes unpunished šŸ˜… It all sounds pretty bizarre to be fair but as one of the great scholars of our time, Pie Face, says - just donā€™t worry about it mate

Reminds me of the time on holiday playing football with my kid. Someone elseā€™s kid comes over to play, fine, so Iā€™m looking after him as well as my own. Then we end the game and this kid walks off with our ball. I try to get it off him but his Dad starts shouting abuse at me for going near his kid. So because I let someone else play football with us I ended up with a load of abuse, people in the distance thinking Iā€™m trying to nick some kids ball, and my kid crying because Iā€™ve now lost her ball.Ā
So basically what Iā€™m saying is sometimes you do nice things and shit still happens šŸ˜ƒ

  2. This was my dog last night. Acting really weird and then weed inside a few times which really isnā€™t like herĀ

    Ā

Took her to the vets this morning, turns out the dog was high as a kite! Must have found and eaten some cannabis during last nights walk. Sheā€™s got the munchies now šŸ¶Ā

  3. Iā€™m an accountant for a land surveying company, so top floor is me, management and some other finance people. Then downstairs is where all the surveyors are, but crucially so is the colour photocopier

When I first started I was petrified of the surveyors. Big burly blokes, in their knackered PPE and boots, all taking the piss out of each other. I just canā€™t do the whole ā€œbanterā€ thing, I just donā€™t get it, so avoided them at all costs.

A few days into the role I was wearing my suit and nice new posh shoes. I had to print something in colour and decided to just go for it, headed downstairs and walked through the sea of blokes in orange PPE.

The room went silent as I walked to the printer. All of a sudden a big booming voice shoutsā€¦ ā€œFucking hell Waters, click those heels together and youā€™ll end up in Kansasā€. The whole room roared with laughter as I went bright red and snuck back upstairs. I love how quick witted some people can be, I think itā€™s a real talent, I canā€™t do it!Ā

  4. I signed up to FITE+ a while back thinking Iā€™d get into GCW and enjoy indy wrestling again but havenā€™t had the time. Iā€™ve got a month left on the subscription, are there any great GCW matches from the last few years you can recommend me to check out?

Mild brag but we've been added as support to Obituary and Pest Control in Sheffield in September. Massively excited to play with a band I've been a fan of since my late teens.

Thatā€™s awesome! What is your band called?

  6. Is Sonisphere ever likely to come back? That was by the far best festival Iā€™ve been to, perfect size and layout, and tickets were pretty decent price from what I remember. Saw the big four there and Rammstein one yearĀ

If you have Prime, Primavera Festival is live on it.

New Order are on at 10 and then @Frankie CrispĀ Blur are on at 1am.

Spanish festival's are fun as they don't start until the late afternoon and then go on until the early morning due to the heat and them being lazy bastards.

I may have mentioned once or twice I've been to Benicassim :)

Was this only shown live? Just sat down to watch but canā€™t see it on Prime anywhereĀ

  8. If youā€™re over 30 (I think) and donā€™t have kids already you should start the process through NHS and you will get IVF treatment for free. Not a guarantee of course but worth trying. My friend recently had a baby through IVF.Ā

We already had one kid but couldnā€™t conceive again. We looked at IVF but the cost was so high we couldnā€™t afford it

    All the best

EDIT - I also agree with Bacon that stress wonā€™t be helping. If I was you I would throw out all the tests, your wife will realise sheā€™s pregnant eventually so thereā€™s no need to go through that disappointment regularly. Also you can get vitamins and stuff which may help although I donā€™t know much about them. Have a little look in a pharmacy next time youā€™re in town

  9. This news has scared me to death as they are my comfort blanket. I put The Wind Rises on last night and just started crying, the look and the music just set me offĀ

I hope they release some sort of big blu ray box set one day

Yeah, with these in-person shows taking more manpower to kick off and get running smooth it normally takes them a couple of days to start spinning it up but they will cut each run out and upload it as its own video and into a playlist on YouTube. I'd expect the first videos to be going up later today and for them to slowly trickle in as they work through them.

Thanks, thatā€™s good to hear! GDQ is awesome, the skill and dedication the players have is pretty insane.

So glad itā€™s back to being in person now, the covid ones were ok but just not the same

  11. I see SGDQ 2023 has started but thereā€™s nothing on YouTube. Does anyone know if the runs will end up there at some point? I thought they usually uploaded each run once it finished in a playlist so you could watch in chronological order

  12. D-Mal was bored and called to see what I was up to. He was at a hotel in Oxford. I asked why he was in Oxford, he said he wasnā€™t allowed any further South.Ā
Drove to Oxford and got to the hotel. Saw D-Mal in the restaurant and we both picked up a panini. Went back to his room, watched the original Godzilla and played some GTA4. Perfect
