  1. Iā€™ve only ever had tiny gardens so never really noticed birds before let alone thought about them for any length.

When Dad died my step Mum told me the thing about robins - ā€œwhen a robin appears a lost loved one is nearā€. Every time I see her she tells me about the robin (my Dad) following her around the garden etc. Iā€™ve always thought it was her way of dealing with things and found it quite endearing

I moved house yesterday to a place with a conservatory and big garden. After the removals men left I sat down looking out to the garden. Two minutes later a robin lands on the tree a few metres in front of me, right in my eye line. Iā€™ve honestly never felt so comforted in my life and I could easily cry my eyes out as I type this. I completely understand it now.

So I am now the newest member of the lovely birds club Ā

I'm sat in a Denny's somewhere in AZ, but...

Use a combination of Datedif (or Datediff - one is for VBA) and Today(), with their DOB.

For the DOB though you'll have to spoof the year portion - so =DATE(2024, MID(A1, 4,2),Ā  LEFT(A1,2)

    Basically something like

    =DATEDIF(DATE(2024, MID(A1, 4, 2, LEFT(A1, 2)), TODAY(), "d")

Depends on the format of the date of course.

You can then use this in conditional formattingĀ

    Probably šŸ§

    Edit - or filters šŸ¤“

What the fuck is up Dennyā€™s!

Thanks for that, you lost me at combination but I really appreciate the time and effort to do that mateĀ

Wouldn't it be easier to put those in an outlook calendar and then adjust the alert time period?

I started with that but because of the staff turnover I was constantly messing about with the calendarĀ

I've just done it with a filter for the week ā€” put in the dates, formatted with just day and month, and then filter the sheet, and filter the date column by label > this week.

    This worked great, thanks!

  4. Are there any Excel gurus here?

Basically I have a spreadsheet with staff names and their date of birth. I want to be able to open this spreadsheet on a Monday morning and it highlight the data in some way to say which staff have a birthday in the next 7 days. I'm guessing conditional formatting is the way forward but I can't work it out!

I thought it was a fantastic show to be honest. Other than the Uso dud, which really was terrible, every match delivered for me. Absolutely loved the ladder match, Gunther vs Sami and the main event.

Rock looked soooo much better than I thought. I was imagining him sweating bullets and gassing big time but I thought he was great. Bit slow, as Ian on Twitter said ā€œhes moving like Tony Khan when thereā€™s a decision to be madeā€.

Looking forward to tonight, hoping for a batshit main event with Cody coming out on top. And I canā€™t recommend watching it alongside Ianā€™s live tweeting enough, heā€™s funny as fuck

  6. Ā Shayna Baszler got folded up like an accordion earlier. Was quite a good match, pretty surreal to see her there and the lovely Zoey Stark was there with her

  7. Remembered one earlier that isnā€™t too bad but is wrestling related!

In the mid 2000s I was big into BJPW and after trading for a few years I ended up with almost a full collection of shows that I worked through slowly

At work we had a really nice lady from Hong Kong and one day we were chatting about languages. I donā€™t know how we got on to it but for some reason I wanted to test her to see if she could read Japanese. I took a BJPW disc into work and asked her to translate. Her face immediately dropped and she said something like ā€œit says death with fire weaponā€, I canā€™t remember exactly. Anyway it clicked straight away what a pleb I was for not thinking and showing her that. From that moment on she must of thought I was a right weirdo and thatā€™s fair I guessĀ

  8. I watched that video earlier thinking they were expecting the bridge to fall, which is why they were filming it. Somehow didnā€™t spot the massive boat in shot. But Iā€™ve just seen a longer video where you can see the boat hitting it and it falling straight away. Absolutely terrifying!

  9. I add a book to my library wish list. Get an email to say itā€™s ready. Walk to the library to pick book up. Bring the book home and put it on my bedside table. Get an email three weeks later to say the book is due back. Walk the book back to the library. Not a single page readĀ

  10. Late to the party but Iā€™ve finally got round to getting some pictures of trucks!

Hereā€™s my Grandad with one of his tippers

He loved the mixer, even better when Hansonā€™s IT system was shite and they constantly overpaid all the drivers.

  11. I think Iā€™ve posted this one before but this moment still keeps me up at night.

When my old Finance Director was leaving the office to go to his fathers funeral my mind was elsewhere and I said ā€œHave fun!ā€ I honestly thought I was going to have to leave, I felt absolutely rotten.Ā

  12. He had an accent at the start which I presumed was a bit of cover. When the guns come out he reverts back to CockneyĀ

It really was a great time and I hope we get multiple sequels, spin off series and a documentary crew following Adam Clay opening a market stall selling honeyĀ

On the other hand I couldnā€™t stand Bottoms and the best part of it was when it ended. Heard nothing but good things about it so clearly Iā€™m in the minority, but man I thought it was shite

  13. Yeah thank you so much for this Pat. I really wanted to get into Lucha but didnā€™t think there was any other interest on the board, glad Iā€™m wrong! Iā€™ll start checking it out. I have watched a little bit of CMLL recently (they are drawing big crowds at Arena Mexico) but I havenā€™t seen any AAA at all

If you can recommend five or so matches from the last few years Iā€™d welcome it very much!

I went to Mexico in 2011 and the hotel put Triplemania on a TV in the bar for me. I canā€™t remember much of it apart from La Parka had a class match and RVD was in the main event. I had a La Parka mask with me but was too shy to wear it. Here I am with it from last year at a local Indy! It cost way too much money but I love it (Iā€™m on the left)

  14. I've been slowly working through the trophies on Far Cry 6 recently. I'm now on to the Vaas Insanity dlc which is pretty good fun

Last night I had finished one of the quests and was stood on a cliff edge listening to some dialogue. I was just passing time and ran to the edge of the cliff, pretending I was going to run off it but jumped back at the last minute. Couldn't believe it when Vaas (who i'm controlling) sarcastically said "Good one" as I jumped back! I love that the developers put such a unique thing in the game

  15. Well I'm already behind, but I enjoy writing a few notes about the wrestling I watch so I will keep going

February, March and April are very busy for me so I won't be able to watch as much as I would like! Also, no deathmatch corner this month unfortunately, I just haven't had a chance to see any and GCW has been a bit tame. Anyway, here is my February round up -

    Spoiler

    WWE
I watched Elimination Chamber which was good. I enjoyed the two chamber matches and Rhea Ripley somehow got an ok match out of Nia Jax so fair play. I do find these WWE shows a slog though, and this one was probably the hardest to get through in recent memory. The show was three and a half hours long and according to Cagematch there was only 1hr 40 minutes of wrestling
    Ā

    AEW
The month started with a bang with the CMLL invasion. The luchadores had great matches with BCC with the highlight being an incredible match between Hechicero and Bryan Danielson. I am now besotted with Hechicero, I love everything about him
    Sportskeeda Wrestling on X: "Hechicero's entrance is 'lit'erally fire šŸ”„ #AEWCollision #AEW https://t.co/Fl5AQW5DeN" / X

Then we get to 7th Feb Dynamite which may be the best episode I've ever seen? Hangman vs Swerve / Takeshita vs Jericho / Sting & Darby Allin vs Big Bill & Ricky Starks - all fantastic matches and a really hot angle to finish the show
14th Feb Dynamite had a great Texas Deathmatch between Orange Cassidy and Matt Taven. Lots of fun stuff here, highlighted by Matt Taven taking flight over the top rope and through a table leant against the announcers table. Before this match I couldn't have picked Matt Taven out of a lineup of one person but this left a lasting impression on me
I have been quietly enjoying Jeff Hardy's mini resurgence but there is always that worry he will go too far. So him being booked in a No DQ match with Sammy Guevara was a worry. It was a good match with Sammy taking most of the risks, but Jeff still manages to get a concussion taking a shooting star press. Such a shame for Jeff, hope he's ok
With regard to injuries I don't know how Madison Rayne walked away from her match with Deonna Purrazzo. She almost got decapitated with some sort of DDT thing. Then AEW show a replay and it won the sponsored move of the night!
Deonna Purazzo unveiled another finisher tonight against Madison Rayne, Venus De NeckBreak : r/SCJerk
Overall a decent month for AEW and Revolution is set up very nicely indeed. Last month I mentioned Orange Cassidy had been a bit quiet but this month he was back with a bang, love the guy

    NJPW
February was the month of goodbyes in NJPW. We said sayonara to Will Ospreay, Tama Tonga and the Rainmaker himself Kazuchika Okada. More importantly though we lost Shingo Takagi's Youtube channel AND Yuya Uemara's lovely locks!
Yuya Uemura Donated His Hair To Charity After Losing NJPW ...

Gabe Kidd and HENARE had a ridiculously fun brawl on 4th Feb. I think if the selling had been a little better this could have been something a bit special. Gabe Kidd took some absolutely brutal kicks in this one
Speaking of selling - there's a wrestler who tends to open the cards called Shoma Kato. He is already insanely good at selling, if he can improve in other areas he could have a bright future
New Beginning in Osaka on 11th Feb was a great show! Okada vs Tanahashi was great. Then you have two MOTY candidates in Bryan Danielson vs ZSJ and the ten man cage match. Personally I would pick the cage match over BD vs ZSJ. The match felt extremely dangerous and I was completely enthralled. HENARE gets hurt early doors (with a ruptured artery!) and the commentators don't ignore it, they keep talking about it which just increases the tension. The match goes on and it turns into complete carnage. Blood everywhere. Towards the end Bullet Club start tearing the ring apart down to the boards. They continue wrestling but the boards move and there is a legit danger of somebody falling through the broken ring. It just added another layer of craziness to the already mad match. I absolutely loved it
FUCK! 2 months in and I just saw Match of the Year. I don't know what's gonna top that. : r/Wrasslin
The final two New Beginning shows will be remembered for being Okada's last matches, but not much else. He said his farewells on Night 2 with his CHOAS partners which was sweet, Ishii just wanted a handshake but Okada gave the big lump a nice squeezy cuddle. Shame smelly Matt Riddle was in the match but other then that it was good. El Desperado lost the Jr Heavyweight Championship via COUNT OUT which i've never seen before. This was due to some HoT shenanigans, which I know is generally hated but I love it. My favourite is when a good guy will have a member of HoT in a submission, so one of the other members will ring the bell, making the good guy think he's won the match and release the hold - always gets a pop from me. The only other match to mention was the Shingo Takagi vs Taichi (fighting for their Youtube Channels!!) which started slow but really got going towards the end.
I didn't get a chance to see any Fantastica Mania shows so I need to catch up on those, especially as my man Hechicero was there
    Ā

    NXT
Only managed to watch Vengeance Day which was a good show. First time seeing Dragunov work and I thought he was great so will have to check some of his older stuff out. Looking forward to catching up on the weekly TV and seeing where the Trick Williams / Carmelo Hayes feud goes
    Ā

    GCW
I managed to watch all the GCW shows which, from a deathmatch point of view, were a bit lacking! There was still some good stuff to mention though. The two night Jersey Cup was fantastic! Night One was bookended with two really fun matches in Nick Wayne vs Marcus Mathers and Mike Bailey vs Great Sasuke! The latter had a moonsault off the bar, you can't ask for more. Then Night two was banger after banger in the tournament, great showings from Jordan Oliver, Myron Reed, Masha Slamovich and Alec Price. There was also a ridiculously fun twelve man tag match - at one point there was an extended passage of the wrestlers each doing old WWE finishers, culminating with the ref giving out a stone cold stunner and celebrating with a few beers mid match.Ā
One other thing to mention about GCW is Microman.
GCW - Microman Faces Off With "The Bad Boy" Joey Janela! | #GCWBIRDZ - YouTube

He must only be a couple of feet tall but takes big suplexes and dives off balconies etc. He has such a huge amount of trust in his opponents to look after him. It's hard to watch sometimes but he's clearly loving it and I'm really pleased he's able to go out there and put on a show

    Bump of the monthĀ

    Spoiler

We all love a good bump (no Tony jokes allowed remember). Matt Taven going neeeeeeeeaaaaaaawwwww was my favourite (I hope this Twitter link has worked...)

    Looking ahead to March

    Spoiler

No WWE PLEs in March so it will be a WWE free month for me

AEW have their first PPV of the year where we say farewell and thank you to the Stinger

NJPW celebrate their 52nd anniversary and then present the New Japan CupĀ

GCW bring in some deathmatch legends for a scrap, and MLW have a show called "War Chamber" which has piqued my interest

I hope you all enjoyed some wrestling in Feb. I would be interested to know if you saw the Ospreay vs Oku match from Rev Pro as i've heard that was absolutely fantastic

  16. Yeah there has to be more to the story. I can tell you from experience that the IT guys really donā€™t give two shits about you or what you get up to and actually want to avoid any human interaction at all costs

  17. Yeah, companies thrive on this. As @chokeoutĀ says send a list of your tasks to whoever you report to and ask them to prioritise the list. Even better if you can put a timescale on the tasks (over egg it obviously!)

Donā€™t forget thatā€™s itā€™s extremely unlikely anyone above you will care about this and remember it in the future. Iā€™ve been in companies where people have worked their balls off in hope of recognition / promotion etc and have been made redundant a year later
