That’s really sad, he was an amazing talent. Coyote vs Acme is one of my favourites of the year and he voiced most of the animated cast. https://www.instagram.com/reel/Dd1ivscNHDr/?mdxt=MWJmcGFibXlnbXViYw==

String em up and throw away the key, lock’em up and throw away their heads. Classic Goosh.

The death penalty has not proven to be a deterrent anywhere it’s used and has not been shown to reduce the rate of violent crimes/murders. Offences driven by compulsions, overwhelming lusts and desires, disorders or crimes of passion are not typically committed with the penalty in mind and/or with the expectation of being caught. If your process still has appeals and safeguard then there are still extensive costs associated with that. People spend decades on death row and you absolutely need to exhaust every possible angle if you’re even remotely trying to claim it’s a just thing to be doing. If we’re fast tracking them to save money then that’s pretty horrifying, if we’re keeping people in prison until it’s 100% nailed on then it takes a lot of time and a lot of money and could still be wrong. Confessions can be unreliable, evidence can be misinterpreted/planted etc. The perfect scenario with zero doubt is pretty much a fantasy, but if you want to claim to be a civilised country and still execute people then you have to jump through all of the hoops to try and get there and that is extremely expensive and time consuming. Above all else though, it’s not about the severity of the crime or how despicable the offender is. It’s just not a thing a civilised society should be doing. It’s a grotesque and dehumanising practice. State sanctioned ritual killing of a person is not something I will ever find acceptable in principle. It’s not about what it does to the offender or how much they deserve it, it’s about what it does to humanity as a whole. I agree in some cases it’s hard to know what to do and it boggles the mind to learn what some people are capable of. There is no ideal way to deal with some people who are so outside of what we can imagine living in our society, but for me it has to be anything other than gathering a bunch of people to watch them be put to death by the state.

Also it’s pronounced “moot” rather than “mowt”. I looked it up one time because I zoned out during a really boring pub conversation and realised I’d never heard it said out loud. I realise this is more boring than the pub conversation could possibly have been, but there has never been any other opportunity in my life for me to share this trivia. Now you too can hover around the bar and wait for someone to say it so you can correct and impress them. Great way to make friends.

I definitely mentally amended “Blue Riband” to “Blue Ribbon” until well into my adult life. I don’t want to meet the child who is familiar with the word Riband though, so I am ok with it. It basically means ribbon anyway, shut up stupid nerdy medieval history nerd kid I invented.

What about “I’m sorry I just don’t see you in that way, you’re more like a brother to me” porn? I like the raw and gritty relatable stuff.

Yeah my own greyhound is not into other dogs, especially if they’re not sight hounds. She quietly tolerates and ignores the ones she’s comfortable with and actively avoids the rest. She does sometimes make an attempt to get other dogs to chase her if she’s in an off lead scenario (we have a local fully secure park we hire out for the purpose) but most dogs aren’t up to the task as you can imagine.

Oscar was signed off by the vet today, staying at the Dogs Trust over the weekend and will almost certainly be adopted, so today was likely goodbye. We had him for a few extra weeks to rehab multiple procedures and to try and improve his mobility. He’s been neutered, had his dental work done and after several attempts we had settled on a medication course that helps with his back leg issues and mobility. Had him for six weeks when it was only intended to be two, so have grown quite attached to the boy. Definitely the goofiest greyhound I’ve met so far, has a Retriever-like dopeyness about him and is particularly clumsy. Friends with everyone he meets, great with other dogs, gradually started to show a brilliant playful side after the first few weeks. Going to miss him but it feels good to have rehabbed him and got him ready for his new life. Very sad that he’s in such a state at 5 years old though, greyhound racing is awful. Quick final Oscy photo dump:

In-store mirrors are necessary because children famously don’t have reflections due to their nature. Public mirrors allow for easy detection so they can be swiftly eliminated after infiltrating the shop.

The Official UKFF RAW thread (part 2)...
JLM replied to The King of Old School's topic in UK Fan Forum
As much as I agree with @tiger_rick’s points about Penta winning MITB, that entrance with that special briefcase was pretty terrific. I do love that man and I am chuffed to see him doing so well. Even if you don’t love the exploding briefcase you have to at least enjoy how much he loves it. Look at his face after it goes off. Magnificent. -

https://www.instagram.com/reel/DeNHAeWoix_/?stkn=MWd6MXl1ejNvcHBlMw== Faaaaackin’ ‘ell. It is reassuring to see in slow motion how she was able to prevent landing on the top of her head as it was impossible to see in real time. Also utterly wild to see actual sparks flying as the chairs scrape across the concrete. Again, in real time this is one of the scariest wrestling bumps I’ve seen. So fortunate that it wasn’t a life changing injury or worse.

As a huge fan of Aminata and Coming to America, I bloody love that. I think the original theme is an easier listen but this one feels a bit more big time and stand out.

The Lucha brothers felt like a really notable miss on the tribute show so I’m glad they got to send a message out on a big platform like this. Poor Fenix could barely get any words out but was still lovely to hear from them.
