Said before, anywhere that does kebabs, pizza's, southern fried chicken or any of that other guff shouldn't be classed as a chippy.

Max can thrive on Unleaded, but clearly you need Premium, dude! PREMIUUUUM!

    DUUUUUUUUUUUDDDDEE!!!

Of course, if we're talking about being kinder to the environment, I'm doing the greenest thing a person can do and not have kids.

  3. Well, if you're going to make claims like that, it's important to have the statistical evidence to prove them.  Vegans in both those sports are still single figure percentages.

Tom Brady did it and now like half the NFL followed suit.

    Most professional marathon runners are.

    No they didn't.

    No they aren't.

  5. I wonder what impact Brexit could have on veganism?  Given how so many farming jobs, at least regarding the picking and processing of vegetables and crops is done by a large amount by an unskilled migrant workforce.  If more of them would be needed to facilitate a growth in, erm, growth of vegetables, would them being restricted getting into the country damage that growth?

All the good inks are vegan anyway, it’s only cheap shit from China that isn’t and that’ll fuck up people’s skin.

Ah didn't know this.  As always, thanks for the info.  I have no tattoos but love reading when you share your knowledge.  As you pretty much said, I agree that the meat industry is centred on "But we've always done it" and it's habitual.  I have many a meat free day, it's surely better to have it 3 or 4 days than 7.

I thought he was joking, but I was trying to make a "you may joke, but..." post. Have I misunderstood, and he was being serious?

When Spurs released a video about their new ground, one part was met with derision and held as an example of everything wrong with the modern game.  That part was the announcement of on site artisan bakeries and craft breweries.

  8. Industry changes and people get new jobs.  I mean, when the coal mines were closed, you didn't see towns and villages decimated by it.  They all simply retrained and got new jobs.  You could hardly notice.

I don’t sympathy for anyone who chooses to profit from immoral choices.

But morality isn't legislated, what is moral to you isn't moral to another and vice versa.  It can't be used as a measuring stick.  For instance, I'm sure you use vegan friendly tattoo ink but not every artist does.  Should they go out of business?

Ive always wondered why the UFC hasnt gone to Hawaii, with the history the sport has there, the fighters available and the undeniable passion of the fans its always felt like a no brainer.

Probably down to a lack of venue to their liking? The Blaisdale is less than 10k capacity and for what would be an overseas show I wonder if that factors in.  Still, that size would be perfect for a non PPV event you'd think.

I imagine cows, sheep and chickens will become virtually extinct, which will be a bit of a shame.

A mate of mine put the case for introducing panda meat to our diet. It would guarantee they wouldn't go extinct.

What was the number of vegans in 2014 though? 500% sounds good on paper, but if it was a small amount in the first place and the increase is concentrated in predominantly progressive areas then I don't think it can be used as a reliable estimation.

I can't imagine your southern states will take to veganism or even vegetarianism en masse in that time scale. And this is just one country, albeit a large and influential one. I'm not convinced South America would be vastly vegan by then either.

It now stands at approximately 6% of the population according to the data pool.  I think the UK is about 17%. That's based on who took the survey so allow for error either way.

One of my personal favourite responses to a vegan or vegetarian populace is "But what will happen to all the cows? There will be thousands just roaming free"

EDIT - @Onyx2, a vegan pizza place near me does a "Gary" pizza.  Apparently someone had a rant about vegan cheese that went a bit viral and said you might as well call it Gary because it isn't cheese.  It got co-opted after that, or something.
