Without knowing you or all the details, it could be possible that this breakup is dragging up the hurt from your long term relationship that wasn't fully resolved. Your confidence is bound to be hit hard so just try and do something just for you that usually makes you feel better.

Have you not seen Meet The Feebles or something?

Highlight of Raw for me was Corey Graves mentioning Rob Halford only for Michael Cole to immediately incredulously go "Whoooo???". Can't really get a more minor happening, but it gave me a kick to see two of my world collide in a small way like that.
Yeah, can't think of when wrestling and heavy metal have ever crossed paths before! Didn't he mention Megadeth as well?

Did she get a birthday thread for her on the UKFF? I think you're the winner here! If you were waiting for it to happen then it's better sooner than later. I know that's no comfort but if you want different things then it'll hurt more in the long run. Perhaps her feelings will show that she wants a relationship with you though.

True. But playing on the front foot, looking forward and playing with tempo and aggression and ambition will always be far better to watch and thus justifies "good football
Being "Better to watch" doesn't make it good football as that is a subjective term , results aren't subjective and results make good football in my book.

You're right, winning football is what matters but increasingly, good football and winning football are the same thing.
I'm not down with calling attacking football "Good football", if you're playing on the front foot and losing 3-2 or 5-3 all the time, you're playing bad football.

Either that screensaver goes or I do.

The Notebook. Pretty rubbish but Joan Allen was in it, she is so good she should get the D Mal "What's My Best" thread.

Entertaining free flowing football is a bonus when it comes to your own team. As Arch said, I'd take a turgid win over being entertaining losers every time. If I want entertainment I'll play Xbox. Saying that though, I do like defensive football, the discipline and structural integrity over the course of a game can be intriguing. Playing without the ball and just taking it when you want it is ace.

It's never a choice between one or the other though is it? With everything United have at their disposal I don't think their fans are unreasonable for wanting to be entertained whilst competing for trophies. Personally I'd rather strive for that.
I know I'm old but wanting to be entertained is prawn sandwich as fuck. It's sport, results are all that matters. But when you're a big club you attract that type of fan I guess.

It's madness and led to the wonderful Roger Corman version that was made with the intention of never being released
I'd heard about that and didn't know if it was true, thanks for the info on that!

It was good because it stood up for itself and you didn't need any background knowledge to the characters and it was a really good actioner. Typical that it bombed, really.
I think what helped with it was the actual tension that the "Superheroes" might actually be in danger and could die. Superhero stuff tends to be rather totalitarian and fascistic but this didn't try and hide that. Consider it added to my top 5.

Superman 2: The Richard Donner Cut. And Dredd.
Oh yes, Dredd was good, I did enjoy that. Nearly as good as the Stallone version but a decent tribute nonetheless

Ah right, thanks for the info.

Just out of curiosity Keith, what are your favourite superhero movies? Usually I'll find that Winter Soldier is in a solid top spot on most people's list, and you're aren't a fan of TDK either (well, neither is the rest of this forum) so if you fancy it, could you lay down your Top 5 or Top 10?
Superman, Superman 2, Superman 3. Can't think of any others that stand out apart from an X Man film with Fassbender about his origins. The Marvel ones seem to blend into one. How come the X Men aren't in the latest Marvel ones, it is because they've already got their own franchise and like a Glinner tweet it would be 140 characters too many?

Give over, Captain America: Winter Soldier is a superb film in general - not just for the superhero genre.
I thought it was cack, but each to their own.

If Christopher Nolan gets his hands on the series, I bet he'll provide a bloody explanation.
Michael Caine's Bond needs that backstory, Ellen Page will explain it all, or ask the questions to others can provide the answers.

I blame Marvel. If that Sun reported thing above is to be believed, it would be to franchise out the Bond universe. They toyed with a Jinx spin off before but this is more proof, which it is it definitely is, that Marvel are ruining cinema.

For both of them, and rightly so.

Yeah, having to cheat to score is terrible. They should've hand balled it into the net instead.

Jumanji - Welcome To The Jungle.
The Rock did the Rock Bottom so Kool Keith enjoyed it. Plus Jack Black wasn't annoying so that was a big bonus.

I was in a similar position to you but with more films I hadn't seen. Can't remember who but someone posted a video recap for me, might be this one.

He's got a better work rate than Taker, that's for sure.

Glinner saying that the opposition and hatred towards him is a Gamergate operation was hilarious. The way he replies with "Thanks, another man" whenever a man disagrees with him is nearly as bad as the way he @'s TERF writers into conversations as if to say "Hey, look at me fighting the good fight, I'm not like the other men".
As I once tweeted, I bet he prints off and laminates the pats on the head he gets from women and wanks over it.

I know this is coming from a manic depressive suicide attempting fence sitting nternet loudmouth, but distracting you in the short term isn't dealing with the issue. I think what you're doing is great and isn't something short term, it's making plans for the future and you should give yourself a big Barry Horowitz style pat on the back for that and be proud of yourself.
