  1. Give over, the ladies are great! Gail Kim is being the TNA version of Kim, i.e good, you've got Tara back accompanied by Miss Tessmacher's arse, you've got plenty of diverse contenders to the Knockouts title, you've got Mickie James' lovely pot belly and Velvet's boobies.... it's all good.

There was a 6-woman tag match the other week on Impact, and all the girls were legitimately decent in the ring. How often does that happen in the big promotions?

I'll give you its been better that it has been recently, as Gail has been plus in the division, plus i do like a weekly dose of the goddess that is Velvet Sky. What i will say is that it hasent been as good, as when the KO division first started up, with Kong/Hamada/Gail/etc. Whilst i love Mickie, shes not as good (but i do like her figure regardless), but good to see Tara coming back into contension. Miss Tessmacher is slowley becoming my favourite knockout because of the booty.

Can we go back to having the TNA Go-Go dancers again? But with the knockouts?

  2. In a possible interesting side note, i had read recently that whilst tin-foil hats can actually block out certain types of signals/radiation, incorrectly creating a hat out of tin-foil would actually increase the strength of certain types of signals/etc.

So that might not be a good one for the tin foil brigade either.

  3. Watching impact this week has TNA got rid off the Knockouts Tag title. Noticed that Young and ODB were not present last week in the ring during the hogan promo and didnt have them in the opening promo this week. Plus they were not holding them when hogan spoke to them later on.

Still featured on the website roster page, which would mean officially yes......

......although they could do with dropping the knockouts division as a whole IMPO. One of the worst parts of TNA currently.

  4. For being Kane's kind of "speciality" match, he's not got the best record in it has he?

Undertaker's pretty shite at casket matches too. He's been stuffed in a box by Yokozuna & chums, Goldust & Mankind, Kane and the Ortons. He's won a few too, obviously, but it makes him look daft to me that time and time again he's got into casket matches (or Buried Alive matches for that matter) without thinking "hang on, there's a pretty good chance I might get double-teamed or attacked from behind by an unforeseen enemy here. Again." Usually Kane. How many times has Kane betrayed his brother, tried to set him on fire or buried him alive only for Undertaker to forgive him??

Speaking of which he's been set on fire about 3 times, from inside that giant casket IIRC. YOKO, Kane and the Ortons. If I was him, i'd leave the giant casket out of it for future matches.

  5. Checked out: 2001: a space odyssey last night night and must say, its fairly good!

For the most part the story is fairly straight forward, the "look" of the film is amazing considering it was made in 1968, and some of the camera tricks are amazing. Otherwise the film is fairly "slow paced" so at times you may of thought "just get on with it", but its works well.

The Jupiter part of the story is possibly the most famous with "HAL" and all that jazz, which again was done very well. The only thing i will say is with the ending......i really didnt understand what the hell happened.

<-- click on 'spoiler' to show/hide the spoiler

For example, i understand what went on for a brief moment, the Monolith in space, the guy travelling through a star-gate style thing, as well as what looks like the birth of the universe. It was that part ofter that when he is in the room, viewing older versions of himself, until he turns into the star-child. Again at a base, it seemed ok......although i didnt really understand the meaning of that particular part.

Edit: After a quick google i found:

" The novel explains the hotel room sequence as a kind of alien zoo—fabricated from information derived from intercepted television transmissions from Earth—in which Dave Bowman is studied by the invisible alien entities. Kubrick's film leaves all this unstated."

    [close spoiler]

    ");document.close();

Overall, it seemed to be spot on with most things i had heard regarding the movie, and is a Stanley Kubrick movie, and looks amazing because of this. Well worth a watch!

I had heard of a sequel from the 80's called 2010, has anybody seen this?

  6. Did Rock/Austin at Wrestlemania have the stip added on Heat? If so, it was just that and Backlash.

    Which Rock/Austin match?

At Mania 17 it was announced just as the match started, Mania 15 was a standard match IIRC, although it being in the attitude era most rules went out the window. WM19 was a standard match also.

  7. I'll probably never get round to watching it because I'm not a fan of Horror films at all, but I also read up on it and it does sound good.

Bowyo T, you are just the absolute worst though because you've read up on it and now you're coming into a thread where people are trying to avoid spoilers or hints about what happens and telling everyone how fucked up and crazy it is. You're doing what shit heads do and spoiling something without giving spoilers.

It's the film equivalent of when someone goes "I know something you don't know and it is SO amazing. I'm not telling you though, but OH MY GOD". Just shut up about it, nobody wants to know.

If anything i've not said enough about it to spoil anything for anybody. Other than it sounds good, its a bit crazy and i'll check it out at some point.

Chill the fuck out, and leave it be.

  8. Its not a massive issue, mainly in that from regardless of who puts a review of a film down, regardless of the genre i'll normally check a movie based upon Whos in it, whos directed it and so on.

To me the title 'Cabin in the woods' screams "Generic Horror", and dont get me wrong i'm a horror fan but when somebody informs me of horrors saying its awesome, i'll check out the basic synopsis to see what its about, because i've seen way to many shite horro movies.

In it self the plot seems crazy, over the top and amazing to be honest, and yes i'll now probably check it out, as otherwise i would not of done so, and its not about "WOW, its just like i read", its just that i enjoy a good movie, (as an example you'd re-watch a good movie, and know exactly what is going on).

So whilst i appreciate what you've said, and yes i'm a massive mong on this forum, there is nothing wrong in what i've done.

  9. Ladies and Gentleman of the UKFF I ask of you, neigh, I plead of you; DO NOT let some naughty bugger spoil 'Cabin In The Woods' for you. Just don't.

Don't investigate, don't research, don't ask; just get your arse into a cinema.

I Just read up on it via Wiki...

    Jesus fucking christ.

 It did say dont let anybody spoil it for you, So i'm not allowed to look it up by my self then? Fucking 'ell dude.

I havent spoiled for anybody else, namely directing that comment of mine to anybody else who has seen it. If anything spoiling it for myself, makes me want to watch it more, as to be honest i was'nt going to even look at this film, as it sounds like "Generic Hollywood Horror #5928849392".

  10. Ladies and Gentleman of the UKFF I ask of you, neigh, I plead of you; DO NOT let some naughty bugger spoil 'Cabin In The Woods' for you. Just don't.

Don't investigate, don't research, don't ask; just get your arse into a cinema.

Just saw an advanced screening, i've never seen a film as joyous or as entertaining. It's fucking excellent.

This. I saw it last night and I loved it.

I Just read up on it via Wiki, And what the hell is going on in that movie? Its sounds a bit fucked up to say the least. I might check it out to see if it translates better on film, but it sound crazy as hell.

  11. A couple of WCW closing questions if I may:

Who booked the final Nitro? Did the WWF have a heavy hand in dealing with promos/match results or did the WCW powers pretty much run the show?

How close was Eric Bischoff to buying WCW? I remember reading an interview with DDP where he said that the deal was done and that Bisch had TV stations ready to broadcast his new programme. If that was the case, why did it matter that Time Warner cancelled the show?

With the booking, i would of thought WWE would of booked it, to have relevent champions holding the belts etc. I did here WWE booked sting vs flair as a tribute to them both, although i might have some wires crossed some where.

As for the purchase of WCW, i heard he had the TV time semi-booked with Hogan/Nash/ETc looking to come back, but was trying to sort of money, when WWE just walked in and bough the thing. I think with the Tv being off air, just didnt help, as aparently from what i've heard if its on TV allready its sort of half-proof that it'll draw. If its not on the air at all / Been cancelled, it's a bigger risk for TV companies to take, so they may not take it on for that purpose.

  12. from what i understand he has a 2 year contract with them, but i'm guessing when he's not being used, he can do what he likes.

I think that's the case with quite a lot of TNA contracted talent. For example, I saw Doug Williams for WAW in Norwich the other week, and Robbie E was over for another company in the UK that weekend.

IIRC, isn't the rule of thumb most of the talent can take outside bookings provided the company they're going to work for don't have TV?

Depending on how they work these days, i know alot of talent can be booked Via talking with TNa to make sure of relevent fees, available times etc, but that is something they would/should know whilst taking bookings.

All Talents are allowed to work for any other company provided they do not appear on TV or PPVs unless authorised by the company. They can do live events for anybody else, practically barring national companies, (WWE,ROH, DGUSA etc).

  13. What's the deal with Homicide these days? Bear in mind I haven't seen him wrestle since his forgettable last months with TNA but it doesn't seem like they want him back for the X-Division or to re-unite LAX. Is he no longer good enough to carry the ROH belt? Not many people have held it more than once. I presume the ring name isn't very TV friendly for Sinclair and he's just not what they're looking for.

For what its worth, i believe he might be injured? (*Calling Dr Dexter to the thread*)

And i believe its only Austin Aries who held the ROH title more than once.

  14. That is something you directly said earlier in this thread Duane, so i'm not sure what you're getting at. There may or may not be a list of pedo MP'S, the point is you mentioned that the campaign was telling these MP'S that if they didnt get on board......they are Pedos. Which is a bit much really.

And in relation to a previous post of yours, my brother in law has Downs Syndrome, and although he can remember various things he likes (Various songs, books, Tv shows) that he will talk about on a constant basis other things he cannot remeber at all. He's also very suggestive. As an example, if we told him not to drink a certain drink because its bad for him......even if its water for example, he would never drink it again, until somebody told him it was ok. He also makes up / Day-Dreams various things that he will talk about alot.

So for what its worth, yes some stuff is reliable from any witness with Downs Syndrome, although any evidence given would have to be taken with a pintch of salt, or at least looked into in a bit more depth than say a non-downs witness.

  15. is there a chance that this is still all bollocks, and when this bloke popped up still shouting about said bollocks, they just thought "Well, we'll look into whats hes up to...", found out hes a bit a nutter a stuck him behind bars? Sounds sbout right to me.

    Oh and:

The criminal conspiracy reaches to the very top of Scotland
  16. I've not long gone back through all this thread, and i must say Duane....Bravo for keeping this going as long as you have.

For what its worth, with actual evidence versus some of the tin foil evidence, you should kinda admit you're in the wrong here.

A quick note, its been mentioned a few times, but no TV station have done a program on this, because when running a brief investigation into the ins and outs of what is going on, its just wouldnt hold up in court if people deceided to take it to court, and ultimately would cost them to much money, for the sake of a TV program. Which is a fairly good answer, (and the actual answer), not that its a "Cover up". Its not a cover up if the Station involved thinks "This will cost us more that its worth, and as such is mostly a load of 'He said she said' crap, with no actual facts at all".

You dont half buy into some crazy shite dude.

  17. Many comedians say this, but why do Aliens only ever contact nutters?

I suppose they are the least credible people to be believed when they come out crying aliens. Saying that, if they contacted someone with a well respected state of sanity then that individual probably written off as a nutter anyways when they told their story.

That could be an idea (if aliens are real of course!), that the aliens only pick nutters/Drunks incase they get rumbled, hah! Speaking of that, you would be correct in saying they might section any world leader who says he visits his "alien" mother on a regular basis.
