  1. Hello,

I bought TNA tickets a while back, they were delivered some time ago and I thought they were good seats, Row B, one up fropm last year.

Then I check the website and arena seating, turns out B is at the back, this is only in the section I'm seated, all other sections, B is second row. Any ideas on who I ring to confirm it? It's the show in Nottingham.

    The venue?

  2. "Nein! Ich habe shit all over mein arse cheeks. Damn Steve Justice und dein krazy viping ideas!"

 That tickled me a bit.

Its been said before, but I've just read the first post and shouted "WHAT?!". Not sure about the non toilet seat method. And every body knows you need to stand to wipe!

My mate told me that when he went to Tokyo he discovered that they have heated toilet seats in the hotels out there. He said it was horrible- as if someone else had just been on right before you

Did he think that maybe somebody actually had been before him and there is no such thing as heated toilet seats? To be fair though, i've heard that the Japanese do have crazy functions on the toilets. I saw one of the Jackass episodes that had a Fixed down seat on the toilet, so if you spray whilt taking a pee, the seat has a little cleaning/wiper gizmo that spins the seat around to clean! Of course it being Jackass, the guys stuck a nugget of Poo on the seat, and it wiped it all the way around the seat.

  3. That better not be slagging off of Jason Takes Manhattan I see in there, chokeout

I could never hate a film where someone gets their head punched clean off

When I first saw this, many years ago it was cut to buggery. Thankfully now we can see the effects as was originally intended.

It annoys me that they still release the edited versions of the films in this country, must be at least 3 different versions of them available at the min (New Line releases, Boxset relase, R1 Boxset release and the new boxset that is coming out, all with various edits)

Does this new boxset include Part 9 and Jason X? I had to buy 9 on Region 1 import as it's just not available here and Jason X is so shockinglly shit, it's great.

I love Jason X! It is beyond terrible though to be fair, i just love the bit with the lady cyborg "Kills" jason, before he gets re-built into Cyber-Jason.

Speaking of that movie, it was on Film 4 recently, and didnt have loads of generic late 90's early 2000's heavy metal music in it, and had a very bad B-movie style sound track all the way through. Didnt it used to have various crazey metal songs in there? Such as "Let the bodies hit the floor" etc?

  4. Could anyone tell me who The Chav's from 1PW were known as and what they're doing now (I know Mark Haskins was one of them)

Not 100% sure although there may of been various "Chav" teams in the UK, as Wasnt Joey Hayes one of the Northen chavs, in the "Manchester Massive" i believe.

  5. Horror movies have almost always had comedy sewn in with them. As fundamentally opposing emotions, comedy has often been used to counterpoint and accentuate horror - from Hammer films through Nightmare on Elm Street, right down to Scream.

Severance is definitely a comedy which has horror/slasher elements though, just as The Fuzz is a comedy with action elements. I think it works fine.

Fair shout, as I know most horror movies would have a bit of "Comic relief", although this was supposed to be directly a Horror/Comedy movie (Aparently), and whilst the "Generic Horror" was perfectly fine, the randomly spliced in jokes just didnt really sit well for me personally. And example one guy gets his leg cut off in a bear trap. The joke at the end of this is that Danny Dyer is having trouble putting it in a fridge , and mainly due to the usual Screaming in pain style thing, it just felt like wasted time and a bit out of place.

I think if they cut out that sort of thing, it may of been alot better as a straight up "horror" movie.

  6. That question reminded me of the WCW Cruiserweight Tag titles. Were they announced and created pre McMahon buying the company and therefore expected to live for longer or just WCW Pointlessness?

From what i recall, it would of been before the by out and would of been to attempt to have something a bit different i think. There was a tournament and 2 different champions (The first being Elix Skipper and Kid Romeo IIRC, and the second/last champions being Rey Mysterio & Billy Kidman).

So who know, i loved the idea as WCW's Cruiserweight were by far the best thing of nitros back in the day, but along with the TV title, were not picked up by WWE.

  7. The reason the Legends figures have failed imho is because the places who would actually sell em to collectors have been having a hell of a time getting ahold of them from day one with Mattel. They just aren't geared up to cater to that market in the same way the previous guys would. I until very recently sold a lot of WWE stuff and pretty much gave up because of how unbelievably difficult they are to get ahold of - I'm sure they're doing well in Toys R Us and the like but in one sense I reckon Mattel have completely dropped the ball...

I have to agree. mattel have no bloody idea how to market their products these days. They just assume fans will automatically find their site and buy them there.

According to Mattel themselves, they say its down to various outside the US companies not purchasing them in due to cost, hence why you may not find the most up to date elite figures in many shops over here aparently.

So it might be them pricing them to high also?

  8. Last night i watched:

    Severance

In short, it was somewhere between "ok" and "Shit".

Theres not alot i can say other than its supposed to be a "Comic horror ", which doesnt do it any favours. Its not the worst film I've ever seen, but its not exactley a good movie either. It was a straight up comedy it may of been a bit better, it was a straight up horror it could of been loads better. The fact it has strangely half-funny gags inbetween supposed really serious murders.....doesnt really translate very well.

If your a fan of Danny Dyer or Generic half-decent horror movies, then check this out. As a "Film" This is fairly crap.

    04/10

  9. Anyone know why WCW dropped the WCW Women's Title so fast?

Seems weird to spend money on a new belt, hold a tournament and then drop the Title shortly after crowning the first ever champion, actually wasn't there even a WCW Women's Cruiserweight Title that was dropped by the company as well?

Watching some 1996 Nitro and it reminded me that the Title existed.

Not 100% sure, but both titles basically went to japan for about a year or so to the GAEA promotion. Then they were dropped. God know, WCW would of set it to compete with WWE, although found that (most likely anyway) nothing improved in the ratings, so just dropped it.

  10. But it wasn't due to Brets health that they did the Hart family swerve on Vince at the start of the match and not build any sort of heat. Bret couldn't take bumps or head shots. That didn't leah he couldn't do anything. Selling a knee or arm would have been no problem. But even if Vince never got any offense in the match could have been booked better. As it was they inadvertently build sympathy for Vince and put Bret in the heel role. It makes no sense.

in that case then, who knows!

For me personally i was bored to hell with the match until all the other Harts came out, as it sort of looked like interesting with one of them becoming a ref, and everybody looking really evil etc.

But either way it was a terrible match, so i felt pretty bad about it as a whole though!

  11. I've just watched Bret vs Vince at Wrestlemania 26 and was wondering did it ever come out why it was so astonishingly badly booked?

The actual match or the whole angle?

As for the build up, it wasnt that bad really......then again thats just me. As for the match, its because Bret has had a stroke, as well as a very serious Injury to the head , so he couldnt really take any shots to the face and thus only took gut/nut shots.

    Hope that helps!

Yeah I ment the match. I know all about Brets health limitations but that doesnt explain why the match was booked so poorly. There were about a thousand ways to work round Bret and have a better match. It's remarkable in its incompetence.

To be honest due to his health, its not like he could really have a huge match any way, such as wild brawling (which normally covers various injuries). But bar that the match was a bit to long........although i'm guessing as part of the deal of him coming back, vince just told bret to level him with a chair for 20 mins. It probably really helped him deal with the past issues in some sort of crazy way.

But yeah, a crazy match, which is half fair enough, the other half they could of done without.

  13. Seeing as my main man Kevin Nash is back, and he has brought the standing powerbomb back with him, I was wondering, when was the standing powerbomb last executed on WWE soil, and why was it banned (again) ?

Guessing you mean the "Jack-Knife" power bomb, in which case yes hes still doing it and as far as i'm aware WWE have never banned it......just that nobody has really done it since Nash / Big Sid

  14. How many times has the IC Champ had a shot at the WWE Title? I can only name

    Ultimate Warrior vs Hulk Hogan

    Kane vs HHH

Are there any more times when that has happened?

I know Jeff Hardy Was Ic champ when he faced Orton At royal rumble a few years back. I'm sure there has been a fair few when the challenger was IC champ, although those other matches where for BOTH titles.

  15. "Max Power,

Hes a name you'd love to touch,

    but you must'nt touch,

his name sounds good in your ear,

but when you say it, you must'nt fear,

cos his name can be said by anyone...."

    AH Max Power

    &

"YEA HAR, ONE TWO THREE FOUR" (While Tapping his Foot 4 times)

Is it from the same episode, where Snake turn up with a gun, (as well as the texan) but moe turn up with a baseball bat? But after seeing the guns, he step back in the shadow and pretends its a shotgun by making the noise:

    Moe: "Click-Click".

It doesnt translate very well, but had me in tears with how stupid it was!

  16. Both of those would of been rigged as well mate.

Rings can just flat out collapse, but it'd be more sudden than that but again it depends on the ring.

Oh yeah, I realise that. Same as the other instances (Foley from through the cage etc). I was just wondering if that would be any closer to a legitimate ring break than the corner posts imploding.

Of the rings i've personally seen collapse (at british shows anway) it tends to be more that it litterally just falls to one side, rather than a ring post exploding off in one corner.

Funny you should mention the foley one, as i might be wrong but wasnt one of his through the top of the cell spots non-rigged, as in the cell just broke and he fell through? Might be wrong on that one though!

It was certainly the first massive PPV main event or World title match I can think of between faces in the WWF, but there are also the following televised examples or face vs face that pre-date it, if you're interested :

Ricky Steamboat vs Davey Boy Smith (The Wrestling Classic)

Hart Foundation vs The Rockers (September 11th 1989 edition of Prime Time)

Ric Flair vs Sting (Starrcade '89)

Road Warriors vs Steiners (Starrcade '89)

And I'll deffo check those out! it doenst mean alot now, but i found older matches (before the "We all know its 'Sports Entertainment' era") with a face/face match are really good to watch!

Its not as old school, but DDP/Goldberg and Goldberg/Sting (from the nitro before the previos match) are just amazing for that atmosphere also!

  17. I saw a clip of this bump, no way was it a natural occurrence. It fell in the exact way that it did when they did that same spot with Lesnar a few years ago.

Would a real break not look more like the Bam Bam Bigelow ring break in ECW or the one in the Bradshaw / Big Show cage match? It just didn

  18. How did they get the ring to collapse on Sunday night? I know they took the support away on one side but is there any more to it?

    So nobody knows then!?

Also, was the first ever babyface to babyface WWE Championship title change Bret dropping the belt to Shawn?

I would say the ring was "rigged", and to be honest thats about as much as i could tell you. It depends on the build of the WWE ring, as normally you have have support Iron bars around the outside that attach to the ring posts. Possibley a switch on the straps underneith the ring?

So not a full answer, other than it would of been "Rigged up".

Also wasnt Hogan/warrior the first ever real big babyface/babyface match ever?

I guess the call goes out to anyone on the UKFF who has set up a wrestling ring!

I forgot about Hogan/Warrior, thanks. Is it strange that we dont have more babyface vs. babyface matches?

I have set up a ring!

It depends on the build of the ring. Normally you have the square frame with either a spring in the middle or sometimes not, again depending on the ring. You would have the inner framing, with padding/canvas on top of that. Also normally from corner to corner you would have ratchet straps to keep the whole thing tight on the underside, with the ropes keeping the top half tight.

Considering the post fell off altogther, id imagine it may off been a loose post/trick post that was remotely or manually pinged off on impact. I'm guessing unless WWE say so, you will never really know for sure mate.

then again that much weight could just collapse a ring anyway.

  20. Im looking to dress up as Hogan, anyone know where to get all the stuff cheap (top half only, not bothered about spandex haha)? Im not doing it for halloween, its for a birthday party on the 19th so I might hold out and see if anyone flogs some cheap stuff.

From one T to another

Best idea is hit the "local" (as most places seem to have one) costume shop, as they'll have the handle bar moustaches. Bar that i think A-merchandise may have Hulkamania tshirts/bandanas up for sale, and if you by a size larger you could stuff a few pillows up there or something hah! The costume shop may also sell a "Muscle man" style suit you could use!

    Hope that helps!

  21. What were the original plans for Scott Steiner when he came in? Was he meant to win the World Title originally? Even though he turned out shit at the Rumble etc, I doubt the original plan called for him to lose two consecutive title matches on PPV and then not even appear on WrestleMania. Or maybe they were?!

I dont remeber hearing anything at the time, but they may of called for him to win something and found out he was a bit turd in the ring, so decieded agaisnt it.

Then again, around this time was "The Triple H Show" where he lost it to michaels but otherwise was champion for most of the time. He went on tha year to beat Booker T at WM, then Nash twice and so on basically until Goldberg took the belt from him.

    Fixed that for you.

Ahhh cheers, yes i meant goldberg

Although he did again win it back for another run until benoit wasnt it?
