  1. ROH has a bit of a habit having their champions lose multiple times before winning the belt though - I'm sure Black and Strong in particular, and to a lesser extent McGuinness, Dragon, Gibson and Homicide all lost multiple times before finally winning the big one...

There is nothing wrong in having multiple shots, but just make it Storyline related. Many of the guys would of have various shots, only to finally win it. For example Mcguinness won it after various shots, but whilst in a storyline with morishima (although again that was one or two shots to late i think in retrospect). Speaking of which, does anybody else think Claudio should of won the ROH title at some point (back in 2008 was it?).

Davey had lost various times to 2 former champions, before beating his tag partner after a direct challenge, which other than the actual wrestling factor, didnt really have any story/momentum to it. He should of been champion no doubt, just either should of had some momentum going in, a long running story line (looking back most likely agaisnt Roddy for giving him a concussion back at final battle and/or for taking the belt from tyler when he could not do so).

Edwards won it , (to me personally) in suprise sort of way. I said it earlier, i like Edwards, i think hes a great wrestler, but i didnt see him in the world title picture at all, and although i'm sure he may of won the ROH title at some other time i dont really see why he won it.

  2. I mentioned it Previously, but i cannot take Richards seriously as Champion due to him losing 3 or 4 title matchs before he took it from edwards, (I think twice to tyler black and at least the one agaisnt Roderick Strong). And again its a hard thing to try and do, Roderick won it due to Tyler leaving, and you couldnt really have him lose straight away or else Strong would of looked stupid. It should of been a longer reign for strong (I see Edwards is good, but i didnt see the title change coming at all, and not in a good way), with richards building up to a re-match to take the title from him.

Happy to see the Briscoes back in the tag title picture, must be said i was expecting ANX to take the belts before, although i'm guessing was it because one of them picked up an injury, was it? When is the WGTT contracts up? Guessing they're off to TNA soon? I wouldnt of minded seeing Charlie Haas in singles for ROH.

Also very happy to see Kevin Steen back. Drop Davey on his head and take the belt from him.

  3. I bought the producer edition several years ago when it was a fair bit cheaper. It still came with lifetime free upgrades - I got on the bandwagon nice and early ;)Having a quick look at the different editions - the Fruity Edition should do you just fine and is half the price. The Express version looks pretty limiting though. Depends what you want out of it I guess.Honestly I would just have a play around with the demo and see how you get on.

Cool  I'll get the demo and look into getting the Fruity edition (you are correct in saying the lower scale version looked a bit restricting). I'm just looking into producing good beats to be honest, its something i've always been interested in, and have had really old software in the past (several years ago) in which i made some half decent stuff on. So Hopin i can get my head around this and give it a go!cheers for the advice!
  4. I use Fruity Loops (or rather, FL Studio) for sequencing. I use Cool Edit for chopping samples.Nothing you get for free legally will be any good if you're looking to make sample-based music. But I'm sure you can find some illegal software pretty easily.

Not that i would be doing that at all..... ;) but seriously though, i have heard it is one of the better ones to use. Which version do you have? Having looked into buying them some versions are cheap, whilst others are really pricey!
  5. Which is the best software to user for the creation of decent beats? A friend of mine uses "Fruit loops" but i've been unable to grab a copy as of yet. What would the best (and pref free!) software, and which ones do you guys use?

  6. Fair enough, It was mainly an ROH style thing, such as many world champions having a near year long run, but then again early tag title reigns show that the belts flip flopped almost every other month or so.

Didnt get to see Edwards' reign as champ, although saw the odd Daniels match. Generico would of been a good shot for a long term champ, and although i am a fan of Lethal, i'm not sure what they'll be doing with him.

  7. Jay lethal is getting about a bit with ROH isnt he? Maybe trying to build into the first "Grand Slam" champion? Still needs to win the Tag titles if i remeber correctly, and to be honest not sure Lethal would be a could pick for the first grand slammer.

Speaking of which, has the TV title changed hands a bit to much? I know its been active for a while now but due to the ammount of shows etc, i randomly think its changed hands a few to many times. 4+ champions so far isnt it?

  8. I never really understood how having the nWo as it's own brand (as in completely separate to WCW) would have worked. Would they just have fought each other? Would the nWo become a company name and the stable itself cease to exist? I also never understood the aformentioned ugly biker chicks and why the nWo, the coolest people on the wrestling planet, would award some middle aged (from memory) munter the Miss nWo title. It seemed to go against everything the group stood for.

I think it was to end up being what raw and smackdown kind of are now, 2 seperate shows with its own storylines/PPVs/Champions/merch etc. As for the Biker chicks, god knows. Bischoff is randomly into Motor bikes (hence the Road Wild PPV) and that sort of area, so i think he knew those particular ladies directly or something like that, but even he should know they were fucking ugly, considering how bang tidy his wife is!

  9. I was watching Syxx v Guerrero Ladder Match from WCW/nWo Souled Out 1997 and cannot for the life of me remember why there were silly voice overs throughout the match, and probably the night if i'd watched all the show.

I know that the WCW wrestlers weren't "allowed" their own entrance music, but during the match they'd be a voice over saying "LOSER" and on Eddie's entrance they introduced him as "the Mexican jumping bean".

I assume it was all nWo stuff, unless anyone knows of another crazy WCW reason?

Not really. From what i remeber the original plan was to eventually have nWo as a seperate brand from WCW and this was some sort of nWo only PPV (although it was of course agaisnt WCW wrestlers), hence the crappy non-commentator (eric bichoff) the ugly biker chicks hanging around, and the "Loser" entrance music.

IIRC, This PPV didnt do very well and the whole nWo as a brand thing sort of just never came. Regardless of this of course, i think either some time after or maybe even before the nWo took over Nitro for an episode, that also didnt do very well (or at least as well as they'd hoped). On top of that the nWo was a small roster of its own for some time anyway, so they could of gone ahead with it, but again looks like it wouldnt of gone down well.

  10. Dynamite kid said in his book, that during a tour of france for WWE, one of the ref's just flat out made a three count because he was a bit of a cock. It was something along the lines of the ref thinking he had some actual power from his role as ref, and just flat out fast counted him because he thought the match had gone on long enough.

Will check about for a full story.
