  1. Does anybody know where to watch the first Kendrick and London shoot online?

I watched the second one the other day. Well, it was shit.

The second one is pure shite, but the first one is great.

Not sure where to get it online though sorry!

  2. Re: the World Heavyweight Championship - in this opening video from Unforgiven 2002 - the first PPV that WWE's WHC was defended on, they specifically show that it is the WCW Title and even date it back to the NWA Title..

I suppose we can only say in WWE land, that's the case. I mean, in reality, that's partially not true. When the NWA/WCW split, the NWA title was still very active, and still is today. They can say it's linked to the WCW title, which of course they own all that stuff. Although I'm sure they're just going off the physical look of the belt, over what belt it actually is.

At one time, the WCW champion was also recognized as the NWA champion, (and/or vice versa, so 'technically' one person held two title's), so that's the only link they can, or should, really talk of. It's nearly the same as when TNA used the NWA belts, yet after the split, still recognise the former champions as "TNA" champion's.

I've sure it makes sense to somebody, Of who is most likely based in WWE headquarters.

  3. Alicia Fox. I still think that one title reign should still be going. They could have build up the title like they are doing now with Punk. A man can dream?A long reigning, black, female champion. Vince could print money :(

The problem with your idea is that she is very shit. Anybody who falls in the category of being "good" normally doesn't fit the WWE mold, (model types, who look amazing, purely for eye candy purposes), and as such I could care less about the WWE Diva's division. It would of been an absolute crime if she was Diva's champion for about 2 and a half years, as you've suggested. Why she is even still employed is beyond me, as prior to her reign (and even now to be fair) she been either jobbing out on the main shows or randomly being Diva flavour of the month on superstars.
  4. In that clip, Flair say he wore "that title" 16 times. Couldn't be clearer that it's meant to be the WCW title.

See, i would have thought that means he wore "The Big Gold" design 16 times, as in WCW he held the WCW world title 7 times. As his other reigns are two as WWE champion, and the rest of numerous as NWA champion (some of which, bore the same design prior to WCW began). So I would think he generically means he has been "World Heavyweight Champion" 16 times, but not to imply that belt is either the WCW/WWE/NWA title in any shape or form.Edit: Speaking of the number reigns Flair has, I have that he was WCW champion 7 times, WWE champion twice, and NWA champion 11 times (some of which i presume is when the NWA champion was also considered the WCW champion and vice versa). This would rack him up to be a 20 time champion, yet WWE officially recognize him at 16. This is also not to forget the "phantom changes" during the early NWA title days, which would probably start putting him in the 30+ reigns, if they were officially recognized.
  5. I can only presume that whilst WCW used the same belt design, it was also the NWA belt design for some time, (prior to WCW became a fully fledged promotion), so have some sort of ground to say, "Hey, if it looks the same.....then it is".The NWA has some links to the original world title, so I'm guessing that's what they are trying to say in this instance.

  6. Where do wrestling federations buy their tables? I can't say I've ever seen fold up tables rigged to break in the middle easily in B&Q or Homebase.

From what I understand, they actually are the same standard wooden tables you can buy from most hardware stores. They are made from compressed saw dust, but yet are stupidly solid. Some have the under-frame tampered with or totally removed to allow an easier break, but it must be said that it's best to aim for the middle for obvious reasons.

Considering all of this, I have seen people bounce off of them, because again they are quite strong.

  7. Didn't Bischoff say it was the same title when they brought the belt out to give to Hunter? That's good enough for me. They bought and own WCW, if they say it's the same title, it's the same title. They can do what they want with it. In effect to me they "un-unified" the titles when the Undisputed title came into dispute.

Are you sure? I was under the impression he said it was the same in appearance but a new title, hence the current title history on WWE.com, as it lists the world heavyweight title and WCW title separately?

Might of made it up though.

  8. As stated in every magazine and when anyone makes the mistake, despite being the same and now a similar belt the WWE World title does not relate to or have any lineage with the WCW or NWA World Heavyweight Titles due to the fact the former WCW title was merged with the WWE title.

However the WWE United States title does have direct lineage to the WCW/NWA version even though the WCW US Title was unified with the IC title in 2001.

For what seem like similar circumstances is it just simply that one was announced as being the same title brought back and the other was not that makes the difference to the background or something else I am missing?

With the titles, The Us title is practically the same title just re-named each time, as WCW kept the US title on whilst the NWA just stopped recognizing it. After is was unified in WWE, they brought it back, announcing it was the same title just re-branded for the WWE.

Whilst the world title is physically similar to the WCW title, it was announced this was a new championship, and not related to the WCW title in anyway. The WCW belt in itself split from the NWA in the early 90's, (NWA still runs today), and as far as I'm aware only the NWA championship has direct links, (via unification's) to the original world champions from the early 1900's.

So yeah, they just sort of announced it was the same as it shares the name "World Championship" to some degree.

  9. In saying this one in particular though:

@SteveLynskey :Sick of hearing about certain wrestlers flying themselves abroad, driving to shows 500 miles away, for no exs...do pro's a favour..retire

Whilst I can see what he's getting at, this sort of thing does pay off some times. Brian Kendrick mentioned via his shoot, he traveled across the other side of the US on his own dime for a last minute booking in Japan. Adding into this the amount of initial trips he (and others) to secure bookings with ROH and other independents in the US/Japan, which ultimately led to his WWE deal.

I'm aware this may be more directed at complete shit arse's and Kendrick does have some talent behind him, but you get the idea. I have of certain talents going a bit to far out of the way, and paying for others to fly in/out etc, so that might be bit much. I presume if you think it'd pay off in the long run, you're going to drive X amount of miles for free.

  10. AJPW vs. NOAH Feud?

Mutoh vs. Kobashi for instance would still be a big draw I think.

I'm not sure, as it may be a silly question, but are AJPW still doing allright? I don't that much of them these days. A while ago, I would of said Go Shiozaki would be a great pick up for any company, is he still any good?

  11. Tokyo Sports & F4WOnline are reporting that Pro Wrestling NOAH have fired Kenta Kobashi.

Holy shat, that's a fairly big drop for NOAH. If he returns from injury, do we think he'd hit New Japan?

And in relation to the Cena stuff, Whilst he comes across as a bit of a cunt in these reports, is it not more a combination of things. As an example, he's been the top guy there for a while, and might feel he has some sort of input on the talent in the locker room. I mean whilst he's still actually being a bit of a dick to these guys, I can only imagine he's 'trying' to help?

  12. According to various reports at the time, Dogg was a top merchandise seller, only second to the likes of Rock/Austin, IIRC.

On the subject of shoot interviews, whilst the first one is great fun, the second London/Kendrick shoot is diabolical. Don't watch it, ever.

  13. here's an old favorite...the moon landing conspiracies.

i just listened the Joe Rogan interview where he puts his theories to a atronomer expert and asks for his opinions (link in the Rogan thread). The guys gives some solid answers to some questions but he's unsure on others, it was a fascinating little listen.

Anyway's, i know it's been done to death but ive only ever really briefly looked into it. Is there like a definitive debunking of it all? i watched an old Fox documentary last night that raises the same questions, but id like to hear/read a proper explanation.

im assuming someone here know alot more than me, so hook a brother up...

Whilst you could go on to say the pictures have been created digitally, photos have been seen for over a year now, using high powered telescopes, in which you can see the lunar landing sites. That proves it for me though.

  14. Looks pretty cool, I prefer a more physical villain for my superheroes but it's great he's not fighting another guy in a power suit

You don't think so? I got the clear impression from the trailer that Mandarin steals Iron Man's armour, in particular the Iron Patriot style suit..
Pretty sure tha'ts what happened, The scene with the armour getting Pepper in bed and punching a hole through the side of a plane make it quite obvious. Probably link back to the US government wanting the armour in Iron Man 2, getting the Iron Patriot / War Machine armour after the events in the Avengers and then that sly foreigner Ben Kingsley nabbing it to use with his chav sovereign rings
Maybe but...*beware, possible very very large spoiler below*In saying all of that, Mandarin looks amazing!
  15. Anyone know someone in the real, 3D world who's into this stuff?

Sadly a lot of people I work with are into that sort of thing.

What makes it even worse is that after stating some sort of tin foil bollocks to some other tit who's willing to listen, they always follow it up with "Oh, you didn't know that?", then proceed to reel off the usual evidence.

"But jet fuel doesn't burn at a high enough temperature.......". Seriously. It was hit with a huge fucking plane, of course it fell over.

Sadly all I ever here is about my company/the country being some sort of nazi filled, fascist state that is constantly screwing over people. Funnily enough these people are also into these crazy ideas as well.

  16. But couldn't they get away with re-casting it, he's got a red/prosthetic heeed, so it should be easier to do that with him then some other characters would be?

It'd probably be easier to recast him, but in the comics there has been more than one Red Skull, so it'd be very easy to get around if they needed to.Then again I'm sure they could work something out with him.
  17. So a very brief one from me, as I'm awaiting delivery of various volumes of new 52 stuff in the post, I've thought of starting a comic book/graphic novel/general related stuff review website.

Its just planning stages at the moment, but if anybody who reads comic books on an issue by issue basis, via the collected volumes or even older collected books/graphic novels, please do drop me a PM if you fancy writing some reviews whilst you read!

It's nothing to "serious" but I thought It'd be cool.

  18. After listening to some Limp Bizkit the other day, I was reminded just how good that Austin/Rock WM17 Promo really is.

Shame it has that little break for the seemingly short involvement of Debra at the time, but loved the promo and the match.

They removed all the Limp Bizkit from the Wrestlemania collection DVDs which has saddened me incredibly.

If you buy the tagged classics, they are still in them ha. The WM19 original DVD still has the Bizkit performance as well!

  19. Just watched that youtube vid. Got to say, HHH really was the king of putting underdogs over wasn't he. Taka, Y2J, Holly, Hurricane, Rikishi, Shelton. All great matches. Granted he won most of them, but anyone who can make you think that Hardcore Holly is going to win the WWE title on Sunday Night Heat is class in my book.

    It's was non title. :p

But yes I wholeheartedly agree with you. I specifically remember that Heat match very friendly.

IIRC he had a cracking title match with Maven on raw, that made Maven look like a million dollars. Shame it didn't work out to well after that for him, but otherwise a good match!
