I haven't watched previous episodes, bit I am aware on occasion The previous Doctors had returned to Gallifrey for something. Would be interesting if he was "arrested" and tried for stealing the Tardis or something similar.

I really enjoyed Simm as The Master. Will be interesting to see what happended to him after his last episode, did he go through the rift with the other Time Lords, being not stuck in the Time War also?

While I'm here, here's a sad story:

I heard a sad update on former TNA star Jesse Neal. According to someone close to him, Neal has fallen on hard times and is now living out of his truck.

 

Apparently WWE had interest in signing Neal but may have backed off due to some physiological issues.

Is this sort of like when the 10th Doctor had that whole thing in "The Girl in the Fireplace" episode. Due to the time lapse, by the time he got back, she had waited and eventually died.

It was a great episode (The girl in the fireplace), and got a "tear jerk" reaction from me, but I instantly thought "why doesn't he just go back in time". Then again, I presume his was punishing himself for not keeping his promise to her.

Adding into that the finale of "Waters of Mars" where he decides he can change time, and time didn't change (outcome wise) in the end. Maybe from this, and multiple attempts to control time, he has just learnt his lesson and stays out of it now.

Personally I would love to see more crazy "I CAN control time" stuff from The Doctor.

I think you need to buy $50 worth of stuff (but not tickets to events) from the shop, go to the next show or renew/purchase a ringside membership which is around $50.

So whilst it does work out, its not worth it at all IMPO.

It was a good episode, I'm a huge fan of the Angels, and my Mrs is terrified of them!

The whole happy ending / Rory bit was just fantastic bit of writing. I was thinking it might have driven the doctor to do something crazy like smash the Angel to bits, but that didn't happen. I also wondered about the last remaining Angel, (will it repopulate or something?).

A few unresolved bits n bobs but interesting to see if it gets mentioned again.

And for who mentioned it, opening titles did indeed change. I noticed that the "vortex" from the main "Doctor Who" sequence had changed from a red colour to a more darker green colour. The main Title of Doctor who had changed at the start of the series i believe, although the colour of the text had also changed this week.

Maybe not the right thread for this, but has anybody checked out Wes Borlands side project "Black Light Burns"? You can listen to most of the new album on there website for free i think. They are also touring in Jan 2013.

No worries, I'm looking for all views on the current new 52 stuff, as I haven't collected in over 6 years!

In checking out some reviews today, Batman is getting rave reviews on most sites. Whilst I don't think you'd really "need" to do so, does anybody recommend getting the whole series of batman stuff? (Batman, Batman & Robin, Bat Girl, Nightwing, etc). I've seen that some of the main story lines cross over into different books, and thought to get the full view of everything, you'd need to get all of them?

Flash has been getting some decent reviews, with Earth 2 and Justice League getting some good shouts as well.

Has anybody checked out Green Lantern yet? I've seen Sinestro is now a GL, and with a recent 0 issue they've got a new GL on earth also.

What was the last match/angle to have a blade job in WWE?

If you believe the reports, it was the Lawler/Punk cage match from a week or so ago. Punk allegedly bladed during the match, and passed it off as a accidental cut.

Not sure if its been mentioned, but ROH have some new title belts in development. I'm unaware of specifics (If it'll be the same belts with new logos or new designs altogether), but its all over the Belt talk forums with sneek peeks and stuff.

Would anybody recommend from pre-new 52 stuff? From what I've been reading some of the "Flash point" stuff plays a part in this new universe. Plus In keeping with the flash idea, I'd expect "Flash: Rebirth" to be something worth reading?

Don't get the new Green Arrow. The new character is a massive dickhead that I simply just can't abide unlike the original Green Arrow by guys like Neal Adams and Mike Grell.

 

I've been collecting the Justice League and I like it for the most part, but the last few issues the best thing has been the Shazam story. I think they will be doing an Issue 0 with something Shazam related. I like that story alot.

From a smidge of research, I had seen that Green Arrow isn't getting the best reviews, so I'll most likely leave that out. I had seen "Animal Man" is getting decent reviews, so i might check that out at some point. Plus I still fancy Earth 2.

Think I'll grab Justice League and Batman (As i think they're already out), whilst the Flash (Volume 1) is out in November.

I've recently read through "The Killing Joke", "Year One" and "City of crime" (which was just fantastic) and "Faces" all from the Batman series. All where really really good, with Killing joke and Faces being my favorites.

 

Get Batman, then. Scott Snyder's run on it has been the best in years. Brilliant stuff. His Swamp Thing run is really good as well, and has been crossing over with Jeff Lemire's Animal Man.

 

Otherwise, Wonder Woman has been really good too, and Justice League: Dark got interesting when Jeff Lemire took it over. Justice League and Action Comics have both been good, but a bit confused.

Just been looking into the Batman/Scott Snyder stuff and will be getting the collected volumes of that fairly soon. Flash is a definite for me, although I'm gutted Wally West isn't till knocking about. I'll try Justice league and Earth 2 as well.

Earth 2 really interests me as its a re-split of the golden age stuff into a separate universe again, yet it also re-tells a lot of the origins, (which is expected for Green Lantern).

What is the best way to keep up with AAA ? I caught a match on youtube last night that seemed to be from last month, and was very impressed with what i saw. For what its worth, It involve Psicosis (now back under the old mask), Juvi (who looked to be in much better place personally), Teddy Hart and Jack Evans for the Cruiserweight belt.

I would say he was face for like a week in WCW once, I think mainly when he and Hennig Joined the Wolfpac, Although they soon joined the Hollywood NWO.

I think he was a face in ECW, and was working towards a match IIRC. Not sure what fully went on, but he was also dealing with WWE and WCW during this time , and ended up in WCW before a match could go down!

Two Abyss-related questions here:

 

1. A good while ago, someone on another, more cretinous wrestling forum said that TNA had toyed with the idea of creating a "Monsters" division revolving around Abyss, presumably their idea of a Hardcore division. Has anyone here ever heard of this? If so, is it true or total pish?

 

2. Has Abyss ever done any Indy work for Garbage feds like CZW or IWA-MS? I'd have thought he would eat up the bookings, being the most prominant Garbage wrestler in the country today.

 

And another non-Abyss question, but still on the Hardcore theme:

 

3. Were any of the Harris Brothers or KroniK ever involved in a match for the WCW Hardcore title?

1 : If i remeber correctly its something that thought about doing, but never really did anything with it. I know it was an idea they mulled around with for a while.

2: I would dare say Abyss might make enough money not to really take alot of other bookings. I've seen him in odd places here and there, but doubt he would A) want/need to take mutiple death match bookings due to injuries, or B) actually make that much money from death match promotions. I know he came from an old NWA promotion ran by Bill Behrens before he was in TNA, in which I dont recall him ever having any hardcore matches, but i cannot be 100% sure on that.

I havent kept up with base ball since the old Channel 5 days to be honest (as per an above post), it sucks to see them doing so badly! How long of the season is left?

 

We're 60 games in so just under 2/3rds of the regular season to go.
