  1. I'm re-watching every single wrestlemania each week until next years (Very geeky i know) so far i'm up to WM 12 this week, but my question is this.

After only just discovering the bloke from prior Manias, What the hell happened to Todd Pettengill? He was awesome!

He was, wasn't he? He would have been perfect for the PG era of the WWE too, although that may be coming to an end now. His enthusiasm was infectious and he was always involved in some ridiculous but hilarious pre-PPV shenanigans.

Ian is probably mates with him on Twitter...?

YouTube his 96 Slammys opening song. Amazing stuff. The Toddster was a nerd, but a billion times better value than some of the charisma vaccums that have been there in his place since then. Apart from Jack, Jack's got my back. But better than most.

Speaking of which, where has Jack Korpela been for the past few weeks? I tape WWE Experience and the highlight of that show is "As always.....JACK's... got your back". But we've had Shitty Matt Striker over the past 2 weeks, who even dared to say his own catchphrase of "So i'm Matt, and thats that" during the first week.

  3. How well of do you think the Warrior is? He'd have made a fair few bob but its been well over a decade since he worked regularly, and his run in WCW was mercifully short.

I guess it depends on how well he invested his cash. I have a feeling he is actually quite well off but does his hawking around of crap because of his ego. Then again he may have gone 'Burt Reynolds' crazy and spent millions on silly things. It actually surprises me when wrestlers say that they don't have money - it may not be the best paid game in the world but it's a darn lot better than most 9 to 5 jobs. I remember in Dynamites book when he says that at one point (I think 88 after leaving the WWF) that he had all his properties etc. paid off and he could've retired.

If i remember rightly he said on paper he was a millionaire for a short period of time, but gave up his propertys when he left his ex wife.

From what i've heard most wrestlers thought the money would never run out so bought huge mansions and stupid expenses cars that had them putting down large payments on stuff, so when the money did run out......they had non. The smarter guys either didnt buy bomb loads of stuff, or just lived on the minimum until they retired. Alex Wright for example mentioned he lived a flat, and drove a cheap car, so when he went home to open a wrestling school........he had money up to the 9's!

  4. My auntie wants me to order a few things off the American WWE Shopzone site; how long does it usually take and how much can you order before paying some kind of import tax? And is there anything else I need to know?

You best bet is to search on iteam regarding income tax, as it goes more of the value and the weight. In the past i've payed anything from

  5. Why would anyone be thinking of dropping it though? It's only a few years into a very sucessful run and unless I'm mistaken it went nearly 30 years before it took it's first proper break. It's a concept that can just go on and on IMO.

I'm just saying, not that i'm aware that they are, but give it another 3 or 4 years (according to the reports anyway) and lead into a huge movie to end it for a bit. Again not that i've heard anything, or that i'd want them to, but if your going to go out......why not in a big action filled movie whilst the series is super popular?

    Either way, it'd be interesting.

Just thought, how about having it at the changeover between Doctors? That way, it is a whole new story, yet also keeps in continuity

Yeah, why not, it'd be cool if they go forward with "X ammount" of regenerations thing (is it 12 or 13 altoghether) and a movie based on him trying to obtain further regenerations, thus leading into a new doctor, would be fantastic IMPO.

  7. Terrible news. Why they are hell bent on fucking Who up I have no idea.

Anyway lets hope it gets stuck in development.

How will this even fucking work? They're going to 'reboot' it. even though the TV series will also be going on?

    FUCK OFF

While I'm not one of those people dooming the current series I don't think the intention is to release it when the TV series is going on. They've admitted that they've got a long way to go with developing it and I wouldn't be surprised if they consider taking a break from the TV series after Moffat's finished his run. To me this seems like a plan for after the televised run has finished up for a while.

Maybe not with the relevent people now, but a film to sort of end the Doctor who series as a whole? At least for a bit anyway, might be worth considering? I love Dr Who and hope it never goes away, but to be fair a huge big screen ending would be the best way to finish it off!

  8. Gilles Peterson. I figured it was only a matter of time before the Archibald Peck one got taken down for being too big. Been listening to Gilles for 15 years. He's regrettably become a bit of a hipster over the years, but his musical taste is still on the money.

Ha no it was the Archibald Peck one i was looking at i think, Cant say i've seen him about before!

  9. As far as I'm aware London's done with wrestling for the moment.

I saw the PWG thing, although aparently he was wreslting else where the same weekend...so not 100% on that. I personally would love to see london really focus on wrestling again, as back in the day of early ROH when he had stuff going on with TNA/WWE he looked to be the next big thing in wrestling.

To be honest, if anything, i think Gabe should try and go back to ROH if he ever gets the chance. DGUSA has bored me to death, and due to all the relevent talent (Davey, Dragon, London, Kendrick, etc) coming and going willy nilly, its kinda put me off.

  10. Yeah! Davey with the belt would be a cool little twist given he was going to be the "Ace" of Evolve and all that, but I'm sure Gabe would have some kind of fit over that. I just kind of wanna see Tozawa and Steen tagging and beating the shit out of suckas!

To be honest after seeing him at DGUK, how Tozawa isnt the champion of everything is beyond me.

Speaking of evolve, are they still going?

The main problem ROH has at the moment is that a lot of up-and-coming guys who should be in ROH - Gargano, Swann, Taylor, Sanchez (ok, so Taylor isn't exactly an up-and-comer, but you get the point) aren't, because they're under contract. ROH's undercard desperatly needs an injection of new talent.

Very true, its great that so many of these guys are getting shots over in DG / DGUSA but many of them could of done really well in ROH. Any news on Paul london turning up in DGUSA anytime soon?

  11. If Dragongate and ROH kissed and made up......

That would be the first step really, and to be honest i cant see them having badd blood forever.

I wouldnt mind if Davey turned up in DGUSA and took the title there as well, and again in some way steen takes the ROH title.

  12. Incase anyone hasn't seen it yet they have announced Eddie Edwards new training partner to build up to Final Battle

    THE BEAST!!!

Edwards for the win then! Not only is it generally the beast but of course former NWA World Champion, (Maybe also a former NWA UK champ as well?)! I Dont really like either of these guys any more to be honest, Davey is boring and should of been built up a bit more before the win, and i dont reall get the appeal with Eddie to be honest.

    Steen for the title.

  13. Hell no, the back story to the Doctor's life is the enigma that the entire show is based around!

I'm not sure if I like this at all, I hope this isn't true. Why fiddle with something that's fine the way it is?

That is also very true, although i would love to what kicked it all off.

From what i can put together, is it something along the lines of he's a very low ranking Time lord and just flat out stole a TARDIS? Or was there more to it than that?

Doctor Who 'to be made into film'

Dr Who is to be taken to the big screen by Harry Potter director David Yates.

Yates, who directed the last four Potter films, told Variety that he is about to start work on developing a "Doctor Who" film with the BBC.

He told the showbiz magazine that the film would take a fresh approach to the cult sci-fi show.

"We're going to spend two to three years to get it right. It needs quite a radical transformation to take it into the bigger arena," he said.

"Russell T. Davies and then Steven Moffat have done their own transformations, which were fantastic, but we have to put that aside and start from scratch," he said.

Yates is reported to be working with the head of LA-based BBC Worldwide Productions, Jane Tranter.

A BBC spokesman said: "A Doctor Who feature film remains in development with BBC Worldwide Productions in Los Angeles. T

"The project is unlikely to reach cinemas for several years and as yet there is no script, cast or production crew in place."

Doctor Who began in 1963, and seven actors played the Doctor before the show was dropped in 1989.

After a TV movie in 1996 - starring Paul McGann - the TV series returned in 2005 with Christopher Eccleston in the lead role. David Tennant took over in the same year.

The sixth series of Doctor Who, starring Matt Smith as the Doctor, broadcast on BBC earlier this year.

I surely can't be the only one who thinks if you're gonna make a big screen version of a show that is currently massively successful you should do so as an accompaniment to the series (as X-Files did) not do something that's not only totally seperate but also "radically transforms" something that is actually very good as it is! That doesn't mean they have to do it in a way that puts off people who don't follow the show, but surely your core audience is going to be people who watch it now?

Maybe a bit of a back story to the doctors life? Would be interesting to say the least though.

  15. Richards would be much better as heel, edwards is very over, but to be honest (maybe its because i dont keep up with the ROH product) I was shocked when edwards won the title. I'm not really sure why, i just didnt think he was "Big" enough in ROH. With the strong match, i'm guessing its because they didnt really want strong to look like a chump after waiting so long for him to win the title? Either way a bad move. Maybe they should of gone with the Fatal four way idea with Aries/Daniels/Strong/Richards and had a sneaky victory for strong rather than a win over Davey. Maybe they should of tried to get Tyler to hang about a few months like punk did? Seemed Funny that tyler just went almost straight away really.

When all this other stuff finishes off, Steen should some how take the belt and have a mega heel run with it.

  16. According to 411, there's talk that in 2012 Davey Richards will be focusing on ROH on New Japan exclusively - bad news for us PWG fans :(

I thought he was doing that anyway?

Oh well, to be honest i've lost interest in him now. I was all for a Davey push but his 3 Title match loses in a row to two different champ sort of soiled it for me. Hes allright though, but i'd rather see the title on sombody else to be honest.

Whats the deal with Chris Hero, has he signed on for WWE yet?

  17. Looks like Cabana is done with ROH for the time being, as he/they couldn't agree a deal. Also, it's rumoured that the HOT will be getting a new member or two in the near future ( Credit : 411)

He put on his twitter he decieded not to re-sign. I personally thought it was because he may of believed he be getting a call from WWE, (as he worked a few dark matches).

Least it gives ROh the chance to move along , as his stuff was a bit "Old". I personally wouldnt mind if he turned heel or returned as Matt Classic.
