  1. I can't fucking belive this card is being put on bt sports box office over here. It's already so expensive to get sky with sky sports and bt sports to then have to pay an extra 20 quid for this card is absolutely devastating. I could easily wake up sunday morning and download it but i LOVE watching the UFC cards on a sunday morning on my tv. (It's literally the only thing i get to watch on the tv each week as my boy's take over for the rest of the time#0

  2. I genuinely can't remember the last time i was this angry at a main event fighter. Absolute mad respect to Ortega he absolutely dominated that fight i just have no fucking idea why the Korean zombie did not turn up tonight.

Co main was absolutely sick i thought she broke her rib but maybe she just really winded her.

Then what a knock out by Crute that uppercut after the massive right that dropped him was absolutely devastating he literally lifted him back on his feet to take the ko victory.

Yeah. Seen some moaning that Yan vs Sterling is co-main under Nunes vs Anderson. I don’t have a problem with it myself. Yan vs Sterling is the more interesting fight, Nunes fight is probably going to be a mauling. But whatever. Nunes is ace. And besides, main or co-main, who gives a jizz? It’s not like we can’t watch both.

There’s always the chance this McGregor vs Poirier rematch lands on this card as well. If it’s actually real. Wasn’t McGregor banging on about it being on 255 or 256?

well i watched the interview with dustin from today on the Ariel podcast and he has said the UFC haven't even reached out at all regarding the Conor fight.

even though Conor has said he want's the fight to be this year in either November or December

It seems pretty obvious to me. The press release clearly stated which areas form part of tiers 2 and 3 and what the further restrictions are for each tier. I thought it was unusually clear.

I can't decide if the extra closures available to local authorities are an attempt to involve them to stave off some recent criticism or an attempt to pass the blame when gyms, salons, etc are closed down. Maybe a win-win, actually.

Well dude i live in St Anne's a town just outside of Blackpool. I watched the broadcast with Boris and tried to look on the gazette website and via google search what tier we are going to be in and nothing came up........UNTIL about 20 minutes or so this article was tweeted via the gazette
    https://www.blackpoolgazette.co.uk/health/lancashires-new-covid-restrictions-confirmed-strong-hint-tougher-measures-are-way-3001123

On that article it states until only a couple of hours ago THEY weren't clear what Tier they were going to be in and were having conversations/discussions up until the final hour but what is more confusing/frustrating/unsettling is in the News article title it says there are strong hints that tougher measures and changes are on it's way and yet again more restrictions could very well be brought in.

Personally dude and it might be down to my bi polar and ADHD which makes it this way for me. As a whole i really struggle with change and with the entire way we can live and run our lives being swapped and changed around every 3/4 weeks it is really driving me into a manic and unstable frame of mind.

  5. Remember that video he put out of him and his best mate Chris masters going to that lads house cos he was bootlegging his dvd's??

Now mr fludder can't even get some of the wrestlers and talent to actually appear for him that came out of his own training school.

I just don't understand how he can go from being the guy that is allowed to run shows in the town centre of Preston for a tribute to the troops sort of thing and now he has gone to the level of announcing shows in a town & venue he hasn't even contacted to get the go ahead and green light to go ahead and run.

  6. This new tiered system is an absolute joke man. No one knows where they stand and it was only 3 weeks ago he stood there and said this new system he put in place would absolutely work and be the way to bring numbers down. Whereas they haven't gone down they have continued to increase.

It's just so pathetic them swapping and changing the rules we are to abide by and live our lives by. At this stage i have 0 faith or confidence in what he's saying and doing anymore

  7. I think it just goes to show how unprepared and how far behind the UFC they truly are in letting their canvas be so damn slippy to the point a fighter's full plan A and plan B game plan for a fight goes completely out the window.

I understand there can be certain circumstances that lead to a canvas being slightly difficult in some places but the ENTIRE thing being so bad you can't throw any kicks without loosing balance and leaving yourself vulnerable

  8. Has everyone seen the absolute shit show that has been going on with PCW.

So they have no rebranded and announced a couple of shows even releasing a poster for them......Only to have a fair few talent that are on the poster coming out saying they won't be appearing on the shows AND the local council coming out and saying PCW haven't even contacted the local council to get the go ahead to run the show meaning it is of course a no go.

Eh? I am pretty sure you are mistaken.

From what I read, there was a boxing card scheduled for the afternoon before Bellator's MMA bouts begun. However, most of the boxing bouts were cancelled because Bellator officials allegedly claimed that one of the boxers had tested positive for COVID. It has been speculated that there was actually no positive test, and instead the bouts were cancelled because Bellator were angry with the French commission. Bellator were apparently not best pleased that the commission had allowed another MMA show to run the night before, and in turn, denied them of their right to claim that their MMA event was the first to be held in France.

The Channel 5 card was meant to only feature two live bouts and highlights of MVP's bout.

I stand corrected you are right, I've just re-read the post/article and yeah it was the boxing card that got fucked my mistake.

Yeah what you said there is 100% correct. Bellator management are next level pissed that the commission allowed the ufc to swoop in with there show on fight pass on friday night which took the claim away from them. I mean it is abit sly however they almost certainly want to have strong/happy relationships with the UFC with the sort of popularity and attention they bring to the table whenever they hit anywhere in the world.

  10. As a reply to myself but also interesting info for anyone that actually gives a slight shit about bellator right now. The reason there were only 2 fights on the channel 5 show was because all the other fights fell apart due to a fighter testing positive for covid........WHICH IS FUCKING RIDICULOUS they didn't mention a single thing about it

  11. This was an alright main card i was a little shocked the main event ended the way it did as it looked (even in the replays) that spinning head kick barely landed and it looked like Moraes was still in the game from the ground but it wasn't a robbery or anything.

The co-main was really slow and sluggish compared to what i was expecting from Barboza

and the Rothwell fight was also really slow moving and sluggish (he looked super gassed after like 3 minutes in the first round)

  12. okay so a couple of things for these cards.....
    1. the mvp vs houston fight AND the kongo vs johnson main events were top level stages of boring/dull
    2. channel 5 have to be majorly pissed that for there broadcast they only got 2 fights where BBC creeps in there and get 4

all in all another really meh outing for bellator imo

  13. Well considering Dana was hyping this show up as potential fight of the year candidate, It was incredibly disappointing (IMO last week's fight night card was miles better)

    Israel Adesanya vs Paulo Costa

Was not fight of the year by any stretch, However i was incredibly impressed with Izzy's performance. He went in cool as a cucumber and absolutely demolished Costa like he was nothing. I'm not a huge fan of Irael but my god he absolutely blew me away here so I'm looking forward to whatever is next for him.

    Dominick Reyes vs Jan Blachowicz

I can't remember the last time i walked into a title fight so confident only to walk away so wrong and disappointed. I was sure Reyes would be walking out with the strap but jesus christ the same guy that IMO won against Jon Jones in a 5 round war was not the guy in that octagon last night. Jan fucking blitzed him.....Those kicks to the body in the first round made such a huge welt even i was starting to feel the pain.

The post fight Jones callout from Jan really got me excited and THAT is a fight i would be salivating to see.

It was really hard to see Diego take such a beating, He just didn't look like he was mentally or physically in the cage at all. Seeing him lay in a pool of his blood was genuinely disheartening too see.

Dana was visibly disappointed at how the main event went in the post fight presser, also talking about Conor and how his recent tweets with screenshots of their private conversation he posted was low and breaking the Bro code. Which i don't disagree with at all......I think Conor is back on the sniff with him pushing Dana to make him vs Sanchez as a main event in Dublin. Christ i love both fighters but that would be a fucking dreadful fight

  14. Conor McGregor revealed Friday afternoon on Twitter that he is "boxing" Manny Pacquiao next in the Middle East." More on that here. In short, talks are very real and the UFC is on board, per McGregor’s manager Audie

I'm fucking done with Conor man, Not coming back to the UFC where his heart/passion suposedly is. Not to fight Masvidal/khabib/Diaz.....No to make a truck load of money in another boxing fight which he has 0 chance of winning

Fucking hell. Right you are. It’s in the damn thread title (that I created!) and I still somehow forgot.

haha i was confused when i read it was you saying it but hey there is alot to digest with the ufc at the moment.

Yeah dana said in the post fight presser that they had alot of last minute stuff to do with regards to him as they want to bring him over to fight island. I mean why the hell not, The guy has taken 0 damage in all 4 fights and he is chomping at the bit and would fight every week if they let him so just build the beast up and strike while the fire is hot if he is willing to do this crazy schedule.
