  1. They're no John Fashanu (AWOOGA!) and Ulrikakakaka Jonsson, that's for sure. I wonder whether they're going to bring back the Atlaspheres, and they seem to have gotten rid of the handbike for just a monkey net in the Eliminator which I discovered today has LYRICS.

  2. Watched the new Gladiators on the iPlayer. It's got a lot of the feel of the original show. The new gladiators are alright, some are being heels, some are being babyfaces. They've got terrible names, though. Guy Mowbray does commentary, Mark Clattenberg is the referee, and it's presented by Bradley Walsh and his son. The music for the games is different, which did my head in when they did Hang Tough because that theme was a banger.

I played (very far down) on the same bill as her back in 2009. I wish I had a fun story to go with that, but I was starstruck and never said a word to her.

I'm really not surprised that you were starstruck.

Thanks for putting that spot in my noggin @Supremo now I expect nothing less. Gimme the AEW that signposted the obvious but the journey was lush. I want Hook and Joe going through the ring. I want Taz slowly rising and taking his headset off in concern and almost crying when Hook crawls out first but he still passes out to the clutch. Glarrrghey, just book that finish, taa.

"He was reaching for the ropes!"

  5. It's a heck of an innings, and I remember listening to her on Radio 1 when I was a kid. Heck of a career. This is up there with John Peel as far as broadcasting losses to alternative music.

  6. I can't remember whether but was the PS1 or CD32 version that redid the whole game because of the opportunity to use CD audio. I think it was also around the time they lost the penguin licence as well. It just seems unnecessary, but my guess would be that it's because they had a chance to expand the game, so they did.

So with that being the case this week's Cheat of the Week comes courtesy of James Pond 2: Robocod.
At the very start of the game in the main hub before entering a stage, collect the items on the roof in the following order: Cake, Hammer, Earth, Apple, Tap (CHEAT) to gain 10 minutes of invincibility.

Does the MegaDrive version have the Lips, Ice Cream, Violin, Earth, Snowman collecting cheat to unlock all the levels and give you a bucketload of extra lives as well? I know the Amiga one did. Loved that game. The Switch version is a load of tut by comparison, being based on some weird PS1 remake thing.

Surely there's the technology now to just do an AI Bowen avatar? Nobody wants Paddy McFuckingGuinness doing his shit forced catchphrases over a watered down remake of the greatest TV quiz of all time?

It surely can't be as bad as when Dave Spikey presented it? Can it? It's still going to be pretty bad, though.

“Dalton Castle loses his mojo,” is a storyline that absolutely belongs on one of the proper shows. I’m going to be extra annoyed if that remains behind a paywall, but The House of Black continue stinking up every episode of Collision with their spooky bollocks.

When he gets his Mojo back it'll be Mojo Rawley...

  10. Ric Flair betrays Sting in the run-up to Revolution 2024, and they end up having the exact same match they always have, but at a third of the speed. At one point flair goes into cardiac arrest at ringside. The AEW fans boo and chant "let them fight" as Naitch is stretchered out.

Adam Copeland & Christian Cage reunite when Killswitch betrays Christian to reunite with Jack Perry, they go on to wrestle FTR, and have a little run with the tag belts.

Deonna Purazzo has a heck of a match against Serena Deeb for the TBS title.

TAFKA Dolph Ziggler has a run with the title in TNA before dropping it to Josh Alexander.

Chris Jericho has one last run in WWE. Fozzy play live at WrestleMania 41 as he goes into the HoF (2025)

The Rock isn't allowed to wrestle Roman Reigns due to his being required for another Fast & Furious/Hobbs & Shaw movie.

Punk takes a commentary gig for TKO, turning up at both WWE & UFC events.

Matt Riddle joins Bullet Club in New Japan

  12. Biohazard is the Japanese title. Presumably they changed the name for the English language release for fear of upsetting the band. Although as a nod the Japanese version of Resident Evil VII: Biohazard is called Biohazard VII: Resident Evil.

  13. Mark Hamill will be a tough one because of how much pop culture he's managed to engrain himself into with his acting in live action, animation, and videogames. He just seems so humble and down to earth.

According to Rukus, he said the song is basically "DMX meets Castlevania".

    ----

Kinda related to this but I do keep up a entrance themes database where I keep track of what entrance themes wrestlers use per show before compiling them into one huge list. I mostly do indies and AEW. If anyone's interested, I can post it here or in the plug section from the forum.

That Sting entrance is a banger. It evokes his Crow WCW theme without being a lazy copyright friendly knockoff version of it.
