    Thick as shit.

I think I actually feel more stupid after watching that.

Some lovely messages and Michael Owen being a weirdo.

Did he understand the brief? All the other messages were really heartfelt, then Owen's there as if he's doing a birthday greeting on Cameo.

  2. Starmer's is very much trying to court every vote he can. I've been saying for a while that I feel a Starmer's Labour government would be "less bad" as opposed to "better" if that makes any sense? I totally understand why he's doing what he's doing, but to be doing interviews with the S*n and all the "at least we're not the Tories" campaigning really isn't filling me with hope.

And this book title, which sounds like someone drunkenly and increasingly aggressively quizzing you on Wally's whereabouts:

I think that one's "Where's Wally Now?" which has Wally travelling through time.

There's a lady on the Apprentice tonight by the name of Solitaire Townsend. Presumably at least one of her parents really enjoyed Live & Let Die.

I'm changing my answer to this. I remember my late brother in law showing me this at the time and it still cracks me up. Everything from 1:01 is pure joy.

Always reminds me of this one from Japan.

Football vlogger StuntPegg is cute and very silly.

She's got a great sense of humour, and her videos are pretty interesting as well. There was one I saw recently where she visited the 4 local derby match stadia which are closest together. I phrased that horribly. It was Fulham Vs Chelsea, Notts Forest Vs Notts County, Liverpool Vs Everton, and Dundee Vs Dundee United.

The original run of The Authority started well and went to shit pretty quickly, but I'm hoping Grant Morrison has worked their usual magic with this one.

I loved the first Authority run. Once Grant Morrison left it was just diminishing returns, though.

I saw this month's comics bundle is an ass load of Spawn and other image comics for £15.77. There are 43 books there? It's pretty spanking good value.

I'm finding this years to be a pretty tough watch to be honest.  Any pretense of it being a genuine competition to test the contestants business acumen is long gone (and has been dwindling for a few years now) and the tasks are either so unrealistic (getting millions of pounds in theoretical investments for that shitty racing car concept) or weighted against any achieving any sort of success that I'm struggling to get invested in any of it.  It feels like the show has run its course to be honest, similar to Dragons Den.

How is that lass still there who didn't even know where they were in the Budapest task? She just happens to end up on the winning team a lot, or she's got such an incredible business plan they're hotshotting her through the whole thing. I hope she makes it to the interviews just to watch her getting reduced to tears.

    4. Kingdoms of Amular: an often overlooked gem of a fantasy game, written by R.A.Salvatore. Like Skyrim but more whimsical.

I remember a friend describing it as straddling that middle ground between Fable's accessibility, and Skyrim's depth, and I think that's a great description of it.

For this point to be true you’d have to accept that trans women are putting themselves through the entire ordeal of transitioning to be trans women and not just self identifying as a woman without the whole rigmarole to gain an advantage in an amateur sports event.

I would like to think a lady would want to transition for more than just a sporting advantage. That's almost as bad a take as the sensationalist stuff about sex offenders in the tabloids. I'm not saying it doesn't happen, but I'm pretty confident if it was to it'd grab ALL the headlines.

Ironically, transmen rarely seem to get the same criticisms levelled at them. If anything should there not be a worry about whether they're safe in a men's toilet, in case something happens to them?

  10. I didn't realise there were men's and women's CoD sports leagues. My only real experience of trans women in eSports is Ricki Ortiz, who transitioned and plays Street Fighter professionally. I think she's made top 8 at EVO a few times, and probably win some loval/regional tournaments to qualify for it. She's a lovely person.

From what I gather as well, to medically transition trans women have to take a LOT of oestrogen and various hormone blockers, and can actually have less testosterone in their systems than ciswomen, meaning any theoretical advantage would be gone. I do understand why people worry a out safety in bathrooms because there are so many articles about men claiming to be women so they could get sent to women's prisons, which is horribly reductive and demeaning.

I also find it odd that people think being trans is a new thing when there are records dating back thousands of years of people changing and eschewing gender to fulfill certain roles within society. In declining to confirm to my gender I technically fall under the umbrella of being "trans". There's a LOT of nuance.

Having to choose one song/album/artist/film etc has caused me more grief than anything in recent memory. A top 10 list I can handle. One pick alone is torture.

Yeah, ask me another day and I'd probably have given a completely different answer.

  12. I didn't want either of the blokes to win tonight. I'm just waiting for Wes Vs Chung next time. That could be a cracking contest.

Hopefully we get new presenters next series, a few new Gladiators would be good, or some being in better fitness.

I wish they'd get hold of the proper music for the games as well.

  13. I'm still reeling from none of them knowing what Jersey Royals were. There have been some shocking goofs.

I think another part of why that guy was edited out of "You're Fired" was also because he runs some kind of "coaching" or clinical service with some very misogynistic views.

I'm looking forward to seeing the Budapest task, but also dreading what an absolute dog's breakfast they're going to make of it.

I also still have a mental checklist of which fired candidates would end up in the following week's Zoo or Nuts magazine in their shreddies.
