Probably a cheaper option would be subbing to the Impact youtube channel and plonking £1.49 for Ultimate Insiders, giving you a month’s worth of upcoming episodes. They have Ospreay v Josh Alexander, Jordynne Grace v Trinity rematch and the MCMG’s and Okada teaming up in the last batch of tapings so probably worth that much at least.

TNA+, the streaming app, is £9.99 a month but contains weekly episodes, the archive and all monthly PLE’s (apart from the ‘big 4’).

Do you get the big 4 a couple of months later?

  2. I remember the 90s Gladiators women's division not being that much fun. They were essentially fitness models, contestants often bigger than the gladiators. It wasn't the uneven battle the mens was. it didn't seem like a feat beating the gladiators like it did in the men's. I saw a picture of the new Gladiators, the women are quite big, and I think will be more interesting.

I think the main event this year will be Adam cole v will osprey for the title unless there are injuries. All in was my first wrestling show and it was amazing. I'm gonna go to revpro in February where osprey will be wrestling his final match for the company. They have sneakily put the prices up ha ha. Its in a 16000 seater venue. I doubt they will feel it but hopefully it will be a good crowd

The venue holds about 3 thousand I think. I think some parts aren't up for sale  such as upper tier corners and the entrance way side uppers. so sections for sale will be fairly full. They generally put higher prices at Crystal palace compared to York Hall, but you can still get tickets for under £30.

Not quite a sell out, but 1,800 is apparently the best Impact/TNA attendance in 8 years. Looked much better/brighter than usual, which is a massively positive sign.

I think that looks a great layout for a wrestling show to be honest. Intimate but very professional looking.

    Spoiler

We all knew the big name was Dolph, he's solid just not that interested but at least it's not Riddle. Dana Brooke is just so meh.

Someone asked one of my mates in work if he was ashamed of wearing his (Royal Mail) uniform this week. He probably is tbf but not because a couple of different companies and the British government shafted some poor bastards 20 odd years ago. People really need to be getting their news from more than just ITV dramas.

Royal Mail and Post Office aren't the same thing are they? A horrible question for anyone in a Post Office anyway, they didn't do anything wrong.

It is mental the effect a TV drama can have. However I think it shows a distrust for news outlets these days.

Fuck me what a car crash interview.  Why he couldn’t just say the words “I am sorry” is beyond me.

He’s no more culpable in all this than any other minister but it would cost him nothing to be a bit more contrite.

Yeah, he could easily say "I'm sorry, I should have had more confidence in the sub postmasters. " An apology isn't accepting full blame. He comes across as a bit of a twat.

edit: Yeah, why doesn't he hand back his knighthood. Again not sure why someone gets a knighthood for being a politician.

I recently bought Super Mario Wonder and I'm wondering (oh yes) what the fuss was about. It seems pretty basic and standard 2D Mario so far. I'm pretty bored by it, especially after hearing it's full to the brim with wacky, mad and joyous stuff. Does it get better the further in you are?

I've not played it but I've often found Mario games get very favourable reviews. They are usually decent but not these wonderous games they would have you believe.

  8. Didn't realise stuff came out about ICW in the speaking out movement, must have past me by. I really got into ICW, only went to 1 show, but bought some shows and subsribed for a while to their streaming service. They had some very charismatic characters on their shows and you could get into some emotional investment. Never really understood why they didn't push Joe Hendry to the moon though.

Regarding RPW, they seem to be using less imports for their York Hall shows, so I imagine they are doing well. But they are running shows in Sheffield, Southampton, St Neots and London constantly. They seem to have their own guys over and as champs as for a while NJPW guys were champs such as Styles, Sabre Jr, Shibata, Ishii, Ospreay and Tana. I haven't been to one of their shows since 2018 though. I got bored, no connection to wrestlers, Scurll's heel but always trying to get cheers was shit, it was just wrestling for the sake of wrestling. The massive delays to shows was annoying too, always opened doors an hour late. I get Scurll isn't there now, and they do shows that don't have the shitty York Hall security but I just haven't bothered to get back into it. It may not be for me, but they keep people going, although Ospreay will be a big loss.

  9. @BigJag   Youth voter turnout (u29) is lowest in the Republican states, highest in the Democrat states. It could easily make a difference in the swing states. The youth vote increases by 25% in the last election, while I'd imagine few would actually swap their vote for republican they could just not vote.

So, after Dash Tana vs Matt Riddle is on the horizon. I'd have been psychotically looking forward to this match if it was announced, say, 7 years ago, and if you can still separate the work from the artist, it might still be good.

One thing I love about Riddle is that I don't have to ever feel guilty about enjoying his matches because he's awful anyway.

I get the impression that with the loss of Ospreay, they are hoping to find a new star.

Speaking of logo changes, United and Arsenal are both rumoured to be getting third strips with the return of the Adidas trefoil logo next season!

Should be a very popular move.

Apparently all Adidas' elite clubs so Real, Bayern and Ju cheating bastards will have it too.

Didn’t help that the card was absolute shit.

Well yeah, NJPW seems clueless with the main event. They tried Shingo, Sanada and Evil and none of it seems to stick. They've really struggled with Tana getting old and guys like White and Omega leaving.

I'm guessing that they wanted to do Osprey Omega 3 but couldn't. So put him in a match with a 3 way that isn't interesting.

Danielson Okada wasn't that long ago, if it had been a first time it would have been a big deal.

Interesting that the 3 heaviest Rumbles are 3 of the last 4 years, during a period when I'd have guessed the average size of a WWE superstar was at its smallest.

That must be because there was 2 rumbles. 11,500lbs would mean the average person weighed about 375lbs each if just the men's.

  14. I used to go to RPW, and after stopping going (mainly due to being a new dad) I always kept up with the results. The RPW fans seemed to love him and this small guy basically made himself the most over guy in the promotion. It's really sad and I hope RPW do a tribute to him at their next Crystal Palace show.
